I had been playing it in my list for a while, it really isnt bad, just VERY underpar with what this deck feels like it could be doing. I like the fact that it is a pump effect that is resistant to non-decay removal, but both it and scion really feel like they are below the bar.

What is the percentage of delver decks you play? I feel like having 2/2s is very relevant in comparison to their 1/1s. This is only in theory, as I have not played fae in months.

There is no reason being friendly and being competitive can't be synonymous.

Also consider that they run Lightning Bolt and Electrolyze to be able to remove the Scion of Oona before combat damage meaning you just lost a 1/1. Though (to some degree), it was ideally "free" off a Bitterblossom so you didnt lose TOO much (outside the 1 life).
Any black deck right now seems like it should be running Darkblast as at least 1-of in this delver heavy meta. Faeries can capitalize on it pretty well too...

Oh yes. I've been running dark blast as a 2 in the 75 for a while now. It was very good in the affinity match ups as well.
Part of me really wants to give fae a go again. Maybe I'll build it on MTGO or something to get more exposure.

A short summary of what I've been up to as far as FAE is concerned:
I ultimately stopped playing the esper fae list I was running in favor of an esper gifts package. I've honestly had more success with that than I did UB or esper fae. Did anyone ever try the grixis tempo style deck? It's still in the back of my mind.
I recently sold off my goyfs in favor or more modern cards and EDH staples.

I've been considering a Grixis list, but there is basically no modern in my area and due to kids (soon to be 4) its hard to travel much these days. If there is a modern tournament in the area and i can wrap up the grixis list I'll post it up... dont hold your breath though.
I have been testing 3 liliana and sometimes she seems clunky, so be careful of the situations you get into with them, But my list was 3 liliana 1 sword 6 discard spells so I understand metillion's comment

What do you guys think the correct number of Cryptics is for a general U/B list? after reading alot of the posts not many people seem to venture to 4, curious why? and Happy holidays!
While I agree with Hammer-Head's reasoning, I find that I have a harder time setting up situations where Mistbind is active and Cryptic is one of those cards that I can generate value from more, so I play 3 Mistbind myself and have stayed at 4 cryptics comfortably. Maybe I could use another land to accommodate this, but my thought process can be weird at times.

For the people who have been playing the deck for awhile, do you feel like the UB is stronger or is stronger with another color? I found the BUG build I had was strong but between the Sac Lands and the Bitterblossom I was killing myself faster then the opponent was. I've been using Faeries for a couple of weeks now and had nothing but really rough match ups (Zoo,Delver,Merfolk,All Creatures(?),Burn) which has made me change to a UB build to try and conserve some life. This is the list I have now, haven't had a chance to play it but it feels nice when I'm goldfishing it.
My main reason for some of the choices are-
Running more Thoughtseize to hit TC
Trying out Remand for some draw(haven't tested with them yet)
The one Murderous Cut was something a friend of my suggested
3x Vendilion over 3x Mistbind because it keeps curve down and Vendilion is my favorite creature

I'm having kinda the same issues.
I wanted to build a version with 4x Treasure cruise in it, but to efficiently fill up the graveyard you need to play fetchlands. But in playing fetchlands you kill yourself sooooooo much faster :/
The idea was to have access to Treasure Cruise and add a white splash for sideboard cards (timely reinforcements,... But even with double batterskull in the main, the lifeloss just seems too much.
---
Edit: this is what I hade made up. I like the mainboard of the deck and the idea to splash for Timely Reinforcements, but the mana base seems way too damaging.
There are several things you can do with that list to save life:
Substitute more Thoughtseizesvfor IoKs
Cut back on the Tar Pits because CIPT lands force you to play shocks untapped more often
Substitute Dismembers with Doom Blades, Throats or other kill spells
Though maybe all this makes the deck so much worse that it's not worth it for the Cruises after all, I don't know. My plan for BUG is no Dismembers, two Pits and one or two Thoughtseizes, and I expect Goyf and Dig to make up for that, but I don't quite know that yet.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
I've been having luck with UBW splashing for Sorin, Solemn Visitor and Restoration angel. I also run one Vault of the Archangel to make my bitterblossom tokens great on the defensive. I'm still waiting for more substantial results, though we haven't had any noteworthy Modern events recently.
The only sources of life we should play are Sword of Light and Shadow, Batterskull and maybe and Vampire nighthawk and Syphon life from the side. Another source of life is a painless manabase and this has been a very important one. I often watch other decks gnawing themselves to about 15 life. In the meantime I am at 15 life as well, but with 5 faerie tokens.
Has anyone ever tried Spreading Seas? Seems like a good tempo card. Even though it has to be played in our turn, which we don't like, it can take some decks out of their colors and put them behind with cards they can't cast, plus it replaces itself with the draw.

In Lorwyn's brief evenings, the sun pauses at the horizon long enough for a certain species of violet to bloom with the fragrance of mischief.

I run Spreading Seas to complement land destruction against tron (or heavy man-land decks...) to help keep them off of all their mana. Seas has the downfall of blowing up against an O-Stone
So the recently spoiled Temporal Trespass (link) looks like an upgraded Time Warp for lists that run fetchlands and not Dig/Cruise. Time Warp is already a fringy card, but I guess it's... something.

i would prefer to run time warp over that card. we have a legitimate 4 mana time walk with mistbind, especially if we keep their board relatively clear. curving into warp gives us one more shot at it, which is usually enough to win us the game.

Sometimes its really hard to find a good time to resolve a Scion of Oona :
Turn 1 : Delver of Secrets
Turn 2 : flips off Remand / Mana Leak
Turn 3+ : attack for 3 in the air.

Jorubai Murk Lurker is interesting because it survives bolt (when you have a swamp or watery grave). Basilisk Collar effectively turns any little faerie into a mini Vampire Nighthawk.
