Avatar, against jund you should take out all the discard for threats. So you shouldn't have ever seen that hand in the first place. You also pretty much always want GB in your opening hand.
glitter storm hasn't really taken the paper scene quite yet (the availability of noble heirarch will likely make it difficult for people to build the deck).

Also your FNM is 5 round modern? So lucky
Absolutely. It my my first real tournament with the deck and the Jund guy told me indeed that getting out the discard is a god move. Also, I'm now quite certain the build with Souls is better than KoT. I'll keep on playing it as practice is key to success. And yes, from time to time we have those big constructed FNM's
I'm not sure if I can justify Spirit of the Labyrinth's potency to warrant taking up needed slots in this deck. Treasure Cruise is a pain, sure, but I think I would rather put further emphasis on grave hate instead since there's already Scooze maindeck to accomplish that. If Cruise is a serious problem then go for the Spirit and see how it fairs, I just think there's better options plus UR delver lists have plenty of ways to deal with it.
Well, I don't personally have much experience with playing against UR Delver so take that for what you will. But in my mind the generic Junk archetype as its maindeck already has IOK for about 90% of the deck and TS for Treasure Cruise. General removal for any of their creature threats. Scooze needs to be used proactively to take care of the graveyard and keep Cruise at a high CMC. If you want sideboard material and are really worried about Cruise I'd maybe look into Leyline of the Void or something else that will have a better chance of sticking. If you open with it then they really have few ways to deal with it and it has the added benefit of dealing with issues from other decks as well. Spirit is unattractive to me with 1 toughness, they have about 10 maindeck ways to deal with it not including counters (Bolt, Izzet Charm, Forked Bolt, Vapor Snag, Snapcaster).
Yeah, that's my biggest concern, its only 1 toughness. Of course, I normally use nihil spellbomb for any sort of graveyard based strategies, but thats hard to justify against just treasure cruise. If they have snapcaster mages or thought scours, its probably a good choice though. Its a bit tricky to time though, you have to do it proactively for treasure cruise, but thats not really that big of a deal since its basically free to use.
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
That seems so fun and so insane. I'm currently testing out Siege Rhino actually and I'm liking it atm. But having this deck become more convoluted just to use the almighty Treasure Cruise is worrisome.
eh, I'm not a fan of that. It looks like he just slapped it together...which he admits to doing...but you can't really base it off results in a single 8 man. Admittedly, something like that might have potential, but I dunno, looks like lazy deck design to me: he just wanted to try out treasure cruise+seige rhino...and it happened to work out for 3 matches.

I basically tried that maindeck (OK, I snuck in Pulse instead of a Decay, Sorin 3.0 instead of Souls, and 2 Woodland Cemetery instead of Darkslicks) against two UWR Midrange builds. You get into their burn range pretty easily, and Siege Rhino doesn't tend to come fast enough (especially when they Lightning Helix). Thus, they ignore one Cruise fairly often (although they can't ignore 2). Rhino having that trigger instead of Haste does come in handy, though, as they play lots of removal but they're screwed if Rhino resolves and they're not out of Bolt range.
Maybe that list could be viable if you stuck in more life gain out the ears maindeck.
So unfortunately now that work and school have picked back up I've had very little time to play any kind of magic, especially modern. What's the consensus on where this deck stands in the current meta and what tweaks in playstyle and card selection are called for to fit into it? The main changes I see floating around the forums are the rise of Treasure Cruise and Delver/Burn. Burn was always a difficult match-up depending on your build (pretty much dependent on do you run Finks or not). I still stand my ground in that this deck can be tweaked to suit most metas so as to at least have a fair shot, but was curious.
I planned a Junk deck as my secondary Modern deck, I play this combination from the Innistrad - RTR Standard til now, and I want to play it in Modern. I made this list a couple days ago:
First of all, this deck is only for fun, so I won't buy Tarmogoyfs, Bobs or Lilianas (I need to refill my fridge, you know...); obviously I want to win, but for competitive play I have my beloved GR Tron (also, I have a little community of low-level Modern players that are starting in the format, and sometimes I feel sorry for crushing them without mercy...). I like Doran Rock and I want to change a little after two years playing Tron all weeks.
Some advices?
Looks like a pretty fun list man, I also play G(r) Tron and Junk and it's a good switch. Junk is much more thought intensive and games tend to go longer. Tron is the deck I use when I want a mental break haha (turns are typically a couple minutes versus 10 seconds).
If the Khans block decides to follow the rumors and reprint Verdant Catacombs and Marsh Flats then they might be cheaper and good choices of lands to look into. Windswept Heath is good and suits your build nicely but typically black is the most dominant color in the deck and you might notice a better feel to the mana base. I think this is a good build for Doran and Nyx-Fleece Ram is pretty hilarious on the offensive. Have you thought about adding Tec-Edges? They can be a necessary evil in some matchups.
Do you guys feel that KotR can be a decent replacement for goyf? Unless that guy gets reprinted he is way or of my budget.
Nothing can replace Goyf but I love Knight of the Reliquary in this deck. I highly recommend her and run four copies myself. Especially, if Goyf is out of your budget, I see no reason not to run her.
Kotr is about the closest thing to tarmogoyf you can get in its colors, but it is still a completely different card.
Nyx-fleece ram is really good right now due to burn. KotR is also pretty sweet if you can get vault of the archangel going, but obviously, thats too slow to be the only thing you can use to hedge against burn.
KotR is a powerful card no matter who you ask. It's up to the pilot to know when and how to use her. She's also just undeniably slower than goyf but a good card, though I wouldn't call her a "replacement."
On another note, what are the thoughts on Siege Rhino? I really love this card and it seems to be making a little impact on modern. You get a lot of value for four mana, but is he too slow in this meta? Or is he only viable against other "fair" decks?

I was thinking about him too and maybe going the route of using flicker cards like Cloudshift, Ghostly Flicker, Restoration Angel and Flickerwisp to maximize his ETB effect. Only thing is it might be too slow considering turn 4 kills are a thing. But If you combine that with Kitchen Finks, Birds of Paradise and some instant speed removal for twin, you might a very resilient deck that laughs at burn.
