Here are some of my thoughts/ expriences which lead to the change:
Brimaz seems to fit better in the deck than Elspeth. Elspeth is nice against fair midrange decks, but she cost 1 more mana (with Thalia 2) which is pretty relevant. If the opponent can't handle Brimaz the game is over soon. In some matchups (like Delver) vigilance can be very important.
Mirran Crusader is too machtup-dependend so 2 is enough for me to play, unless B/G/x decks see more play. You definitly don't want to draw 2 of them in the wrong match. Instead I am playing Voice of Resurgence, which makes Thrun less important, so he went to the sideboard.
I am very happy with my maindeck. At the moment I try to optimize my landbase and sideboard (but the sideboard is very meta dependend, so there can be a difference between online, local and tournament sideboard). But some sideboardcards are close to fixed.
Were there some specific choices which you and dcovino discussed? I would like to here your thoughts.
By the way I want to align the names of my MTGO account and this one, so it's getting more transparent for everyone.
resto-angel mostly. definitely a great addition in my opinion. i was solitare your deck earlier and i was really enjoying it more than my previous build. it seems more balanced and more interesting against various decks. i'm gonna keep testing but i really think it's a good move. i don't know about the thrun in the side since he's a powerhouse but sometimes not. i'm gonna keep trying it out and seeing.

any ideas or tips on how to beat delver? im playing flickerwhisp version of the deck and im doing fairly well in my local meta.
most of the time creatures i played at the start got bolted and the rest countered
post board they have artifact destruction and anger
You beat delver with cards like Loxodon Smiter, Voice, Thrun, Choke, Engineered Explosives, Thalia, Mark of Asylum. Like I mentioned earlier Delver isn't playing Anger. What kind of artifact destruction do they play? It's just for your Aether Vial, isn't it?
Other options you can consider - unsure how good you will find them but I've used them to varying degrees of success against delver (and other decks)
Flickerwisp just flicker their insect, they will need to retrigger the delver. Not permanent, but helps.
Arena uncounterable, reusable. Most of the creatures run can kill an insect. They typically don't have a ton of creatures to protect the insect against the effect, either, unless they're also running young pyromancer.
Aven Mindcensor Flash it in to block / kill. Simple, effective.
It could be the tron pilot knows his deck real well, it always seemed he had pyroclasms on turn 2-3. Thalia seemed to do work but could not get an arbiter/mindcensor to stick against him. Ty for the help
Beast Within! Nice, that is really good against Tron. Never thought about that one. You can hit those lands too. Yeah that seems like a really solid sideboard option if you're having enough of a problem. I didn't think to mention Thalia either. She taxes the hell out of them. Pithing Needle hits Karn too.
I have my suspicions, but why don't we run Wooded Bastion with all the double white symbols in Mirran Crusader and Linvala, Keeper of Silence? Scavenging Ooze likes a lot of green mana as well, and Qasali Pridemage and Voice of Resurgence can be problematic to cast sometimes.

I suspect because most of the decks I have seen and of course mine are at 6-7 colorless producing lands and we want the T1 dork as often as possible in the opening hand. Nothing makes me more sad than seeing a hand like Linvala, Smiter, Leonin Arbiter, PtE, Noble, Tec Edge, Ghost Quarter...

Ding, ding, ding....we have a winner.
In all honesty I don't think I can recall ever having an issue with the double color spells in either vial or non-vial builds.
You said you are playing the Flickerwisp version of the deck. If you mean you are playing with Flickerwisp, Blade Splicer and Restoration, than you are playing Death & Taxes and not Hatebears. If so, this is the wrong address to get advices.
If not please post your decklist so we can see what exactly you are playing.
i get that you probably mean it well but i came here for some kind of relevant advice not to argue about what the name of my deck is. as i said in my first post right now i play the version with flickerwhisp but i can go back no normal vesion.
But it's like you switch between WUR Control and WUR Midrange, it's not the same deck... It's not about the name, it's about like 16 cards we aren't running, and a different strategy. Some of us are excited about the new gryff, I think you are not going to play in your deck, right? The relevant advice I can give you is: You could try asking in the Delver thread, they know their deck and maybe can give you some insights about it
I believe WoTC's new policy is to make sure that every color can enjoy the exciting gameplay mechanic of making undercosted dudes and then turning them sideways. Clearly the future of magic.

Just for the primer purposes...
I'm an amulet player, but i just happen to really like hatebears, so I came to take a look at it. The primer suggests amulet is a tricky matchup, but it's heavily in the hatebears players favour. It's by far my worst matchup as an amulet player. Basically, a ghost quarter alone can stop us from combo-ing turns 1 through 3, so you get your 4th turn. Leonin arbiter isn't even needed, most lists run just 1 basic land. However, without an amulet, leonin arbiter can turn titan into a measly 6/6 trample with no action until attack step. In the maindeck, thalia is heavily relevant - if we need to use summoner's pact to find a titan, we now need 7 mana instead of 6 - if arbiter is in play, we need 9! Aven mindcensor can force us to pact blindly and hope to land a titan, and the same interaction is true about tolaria west. In addition, voice stops pact of negation, though that's not overly relevant. Voice can leave a big blocker behind, as can wilt-leaf and smiter, making titan's harder to attack with. Birds & Hierarchs can help pay the mana for a hivemind activation! The primer should probably be updated to reflect that it's about a 90% win for you, you don't even need a sideboard. Chalice on 0, though stopping hivemind, does stop us using the pacts for their primary purpose of finding titans and killing stuff!
I was thinking that the primer may be inaccurate on this... All the hate we have really stifles combo decks in general. Particularly those that search.
Piney, actually added a wooded bastion to the mana base to help casting the double symbols. Although the colorless count is 8, kinda greedy IMO. Testing suppression field and it's doing ok. Thanks for the suggestions.
Hey man I tried using the very same list with some of the suggested changes to the sideboard like the + for aggro match-ups. I decided to add kitchen Finks to try him out.
Went to a local event and went 3-1 with the very same list. I fought Melira Pod, UR Storm, Domain Zoo, and Through the breach.
2-1 Pod
G1: I thought it was pretty funny how the pod player didn't have much experience against Hatebears in general. Landed Arbiters and smiters to pretty much win game 1
G2: Game 2 was a little more grindier, wasn't able to stick my arbiters or Mindscensors on board due to abrupt decay, eventually he "wombo combo"-Spike feeder, Angel, gg
G3: This game was pretty hilarious, I think mirran crusader's back was hurting after this game, because he carried me to victory all the way.
2-1 Storm
G1: well he pretty much went of turn 3, Scaoove came a bit late.
G2: He conceded because he got greedy keeping a one land hand, plus I landed thalia to end the game.
G3: This time Scaoove came in on turn 3, the best play I could have done was get rid of his past in flames immediately. After that he just fizzled because of that play and couldn't go off
1-2 Domain Zoo(Blue Zoo?)
G1: I had to mulligan to 4 while on the play, he simply was too fast couldn't do much.
G2: was able to land enough creatures and stabilize after he did some math wrong on some attacks and lose some creatures while ooze eating them up.
G3: Landed a couple of creatures, however he had the nuts draw with like 3 cats, 2 lions and some burns spells to finish me. (Even after post board I still felt like this match-up was favorable to them, very difficult match I think. Maybe I need more experience with these kind of games.)
2-0 Through the breach
G1/2: He drew really bad hands both games, however in game 2 he played a through the breach, I'm thinking ok its probably going to g3 "Assuming it was big daddy emrakul", no he brung out griselbrand. I was a bit puzzled and luckily had path in hand to get rid of it and finish him with beats from smiter and King oreo.
Overall, this deck list I'm truly liking right now, however I feel like the sideboard still needs some work for more of the aggressive match-ups
This is a variant of my normal list, I added +3 Hushwing Grff main, +1 Hushwing Grff in side, -1 Thalia from the main, -2 Kitchen Finks from the main, -1 Torpor Orb from the side. My prior version has won my over $100 in store credit over the last few months locally, very content with its performance. After I put the Hushwing Gruff in on Cockatrice I play 4 hrs last night, didn't lose a 2 out of 3 match except against a single burn deck, won every sinle 1 game match I did. Tonight I've played for 5 hours only lost to the mirror in a 2 out of 3 match, and again haven't lost a single 1 game match.
Against Jund:
Voice of Resurgence
Loxodon Smiter
Wilt-Leaf Liege
Linvala, Keeper of Silence
Brimaz, King of Oreskos
Hushwing Grff
Leon Arbiter
Aven Mindcencor
Ghost Quarter
Tectonic Edge
Side:
Hushwing Grff
Spellskite
Rest in Peace
Mirran Crusader
Against Merfolk:
Path to Exile
Voice of Resurgence
Qasali Pridemage
Side:
Engineered Explosives
Condemn
Sidenote: Hushwing also wrecks soulsisters.
I tend to prey on Jund, most tempo, Pod, and Twin, and a few random combos, most other MU's are usually 50/50 though I need more play testing with Hushwing Grff. Slightly unfavorable would be a good Merfolk player, and usually Tron unless I get an early stony silence from the side or a ghost/tectonic Aven/leonin lock. Also unless I see Thalia/LD, Scavenging Ooze, or a sided Rest in Peace Living End is a hard MU.
G1: He mulled to 6, did not draw enough gas to close out the match. I was down to 8 life
G2: He had bad draws, flooding out on mana. A timely Spellskite swung the match in my favor
R2 vs MonoW DnT 1-1
G1: The Ghost Quarter experience allowed me to stall his board development while Linvala with 3 exalted triggers chucked away at his life.
G2: Couldn't do much when he top decked a War and Peace and equipped it on a Serra Avenger.
G3: Draw(Time's up)
R3 vs BW Token(New Wescoe build) 2-0
G1: I was able to 3x Ghost Quarter him leaving him stuck at 2 colorless lands lol.
G2: We went into top deck mode. I drew a Smiter along the way and kept it in hand. He inquisitioned me for the free cast putting of his tempo. Had the pressure up with mirran and smiter. He was forced to path the smiter and block the crusader with resto angel. After that combat step where those blocks happened I slammed my top decked BSA with him having 3 lands in hand.
R4 vs RG Zoo 2-0
G1: I was able to stabilize my life total at 8 while putting him in hellbent status. I remember my linvala blocking his vexing devil here.
G2: Thrunworship
Any feedback or adjustments are highly appreciated. Question is would you bring this list to a big tourney?
TIA

Tron should be cake! What are you particularly having trouble with? Leonin Arbiter and Aven Mindcensor should shut down their Sylvan Scrying, Expedition Map, and Eye of Ugin. Path to Exile for the Wurmcoil Engines, and Ghost Quarter is good even without any search hate out. Don't overextend because of Pyroclasm. Stony Silence and Mark of Asylum do work. Burrenton Forge-Tender too.
Affinity requires a bit more luck. Having removal when you need it, land destruction for the Inkmoth Nexus, Qasali Pridemages and your Linvala, Keeper of Silence. Worship is great for that matchup if it's in your 60. I personally really enjoy Fracturing Gust in the sideboard. Engineered Explosives and Stony Silence do work. Watch out for Inkmoth Nexus when you're hiding behind a Worship.

1 Fracturing Gust
1 Creeping Corrosion
2 Stony Silence
R1 vs BR Burn 2-0
