I noticed that a couple of decks have started running Dig Through Time in main. Is that a viable option? I have 4x Thirst For Knowledge now. Should I go down to 3x Thirst and add one Dig Through Time?
I think I want to maindeck my one Batterskull. What do you all think of my Wurmcoil Engine, Treasure Mage, Solemn Simulacrum ratio? What would you recommend taking out for a Batterskull?
I am also thinking about playing around with 1-2 Snapcaster Mage's in the sideboard.
So far from testing I have really enjoyed Dig Through Time as a one-of. One a game by finding a Mindslaver and locking my opponent on the turn before I would have lost. The instant speed is great.
Try to put out 1 Wurmcoil for one batterskull, sometimes is better against white based deks.
Hey guys, i'm doing some fixing on my deck and i've been wondering why everyone only runs 1 academy ruins. (i'm running 2) What do you guys do if your opponent
destroy it with a tectonic edge or something like that? You can't mindslaver him anymore or re-use some of your key cards (like a wurmcoil of spellskite).
Another thing is the tectonic edge, i've never seen a use of it. When the opponent is usually at 4 lands, it becomes less relevant. Anyone can help me with that?

Our deck really hates manlands. TecEdge or GQ are the only reliable way to get rid of them.
What do you guys think of perilous vault vs Oblivion Stone? While the vault does come down a turn later and doesn't give an option for protection of your cards, I feel it helps a lot with persist creatures, which are common with Pod.

No idea because my favorite decks keep getting banned or having the rules changed against them
An extra mana is extremely rough, especially against decks with young pyro, which are much harder matches than pod. Also, and most importantly, you can't use academy ruins on perilous vault. pod has a much harder time dealing with oblivion stone every turn, for the rest of the game, then it has with perilous vault
Pod isn't very popular because it has a terrible Delver matchup, so I wouldn't worry about it as much for now. We're also favored vs them with or without the Vault.
I'm streaming a daily with a very, very, very rough list with a red splash at http://www.twitch.tv/nezeru if you want to watch!

Good point. I didn't even realize the academy ruins aspect of O-stone. Thanks!

Makes sense. at least with o-stone lock, instead of mind slaver lock, you end up not actually o-stoning every turn, so you can find a clock
and yeah complex: academy ruins is semi-secretly the best card in the deck.

Dismember is a pretty reliable way to deal with manlands. I'll spend 4 life to set you back a land all day. I've even tapped a tec edge to pay the , lol.

Well the GP top 8 looks actually like a pretty good field for us, excepting the summoning trap, emrakrul deck. I've played against it, and you really need 2 counters to be able to stop them if they go for a prime-time. they don't play a lot of creatures though, so i think the deck can maybe just miss, so not sure how bad a matchup it really is.
I feel like the double blue would just be hard to do, and he doesn't strictly do any game breaking. There are very few artifacts we need to untap and a 3UU tutor is expensive, especially when we have a good amount of draw and tutors already. Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas seems much more interesting to me actually, but I still think he doesn't fit into our game plan well, all though beating someone down with a Chalice of the Void would be awesome.

I didnt say dismember wasn't reliable, but i dont want to pay 4 life against Inkmoth Nexus in affinity, Treetop Village in Zoo or Mutavault in Merfolks
When playing against a deck like Jund or the Rock, or any deck that basically wins off of midrange beats, what is the best way to play against it? I just played one on cockatrice, and it was an epic experience, but outside of landing Platinum Angel, I felt like I had no way to win. Oh Mindslaver lock I guess too.
I felt like most of the SB cards didn't help either. I was running 4 chalice's main board and I found landing them on 2, was pretty effective. Any other thoughts or is it just a bad match up?

I definitely don't mind paying 4 life to kill something that will do more than 4 damage or kill me with poison counters. It's pretty rare for Tec Edge to get a relevant manland, while Ghost Quarter always can.

These are the decks where solemn simulacrum and wurmcoil really shine. Also, o-stone. If anything, i tend to side out mindslaver against them, because it doesn't do much if you aren't locking them. I'd way rather just land a big life linker whose hard to remove. The actual best card is usually sundering, because you'll easily hit 3 lands and trump anything they have in play

I play a 1/1 split of the two and it has always been good for me. Also play a MD Crucible of Worlds so TecEdge is really good in some MU where i can lock people out. I really dont like Dismember. I dont know why, its just has not been good for me, and seem kind of last resort.
