Yeah, I replayed Shoktroopas Daily games over the weekend (he 3-1 each) and he beat an Affinity player (who complained very loudly about how crappy the Mono U Tron deck is) mainly via Mindslaver. In both games that he won, he Mindslavered the Affinity player and used their Arcbound Ravager to clear the board. It was awesome to watch and makes me feel like we don't have any absolutely terrible matchups, even Aggro.

That sounds like an awesome play. Can anyone tell me where I can watch these matches?

It might be too late now, but if you use the old client (not the wide beta one), you can go to the Play->Scheduled Tournaments. There, in the finished tournaments section, you should be able to find the Modern Daily that started yesterday at 7PM. Then just find Shoktroopa's games, double click and select which of the games you want to rewatch.
I've been MTGO stalking him all weekend, because he doesn't stream much, but everytime I watch him play I learn something new. I think, in the future I will screen capture them and post them on Youtube with some commentary, unless Shok doesn't want me to.
I used Shoktroopa's recent list (with one small change, the 2nd Wurmcoil in the board instead of a 2nd Relic) at my LGS's Sunday Modern tourney. I went 3-1-1 in swiss to make top 8 and prize. I defeated American Gifts, Melira Pod, and Merfolk. Lost to Hatebears and drew against another Blue Tron deck to secure top 8. Lost in the quarterfinals to Tarmo-Twin due to misplays. Still, not a bad showing for me and the deck.

Tarmo Twin-> Very real threat for u-tron.
Can attack you from all directions.
I will have to pilot the deck itself(twin) to know the right plays
in dealing with it.
I piloted Tarmotwin the whole day and discovered these things.
*It only has 5 green sources and only 2 of them are fetchable.
(*When cracking a map look for tec edge asap. activate edge after they fetch Breeding pool or stomping ground
in early game.)
*The deck is more powerful if goin aggro, the "tap the blocker" game is very effective bringing your life down to bolt range.
Laying an early wurmcoil will force them to take the combo path.
heh.. deck is still good... finished the last 5 or 6 dailies now 3-1. These last 2 dailies honestly should be 4-0 in both. Timed out with lethal on board both matches i lost. 5 more seconds and i win. haha. oh well. my fault for being distracted... Ran a gauntlet of twin. crush it everytime. When I get audio up and running and some other stuff i'll start streaming. I think I've got sideboarding down to a science. I"ll write somethin up here at some point. No tellin when but this deck can still hang with the big boys if played correctly.
Good to hear! I'm back playing U Tron after playing every other deck in modern. Won a modern event at my LGS today 2-1 vs two UWR Midrange and 2-0 Tarmotwin (my other main Modern deck, still deciding which one to bring to GP Minneapolis if I go)
My list is a bit different, I'm on the Fabricate/Trinket Mage plan now with maindeck Chalice of the Void and Relic of Progenitus for random autowins. My sideboard was 3 Dismember 3 Spell Pierce 2 Squelch 2 Chalice of the Void 2 Aetherize 1 Pithing Needle 1 Trinket Mage 1 Relic of Progenitus. Mainboard runs 3 Remand (it's bad against a lot of decks now) and 2 Solemn, 1 Treasure Mage, 2 Fabricate, 1 Trinket Mage for four artifact searches. Every game I lost was due to mana issues.
Mr. Shoktroopa, do you take the play or draw against UWR Geist? I took the draw every game first match and the play every game second match (second player was pretty proactive about trying to kill me in game 1)
Is it bad etiquette when you're at 36 life and he sticks a Splinter Twin on an Exarch to let him go through the motions 36 times instead of just conceding? Most better players don't flat out concede against Mindslaver lock either, at least on Modo.
For me, it depends. I think you should edge out any advantage you can (within fair play of course). I'm always representing an out or making my opponent think twice about what he's doing, that way he's focusing on things that might not be relevant which is always good for me. If you're just testing Match 9 against Tempo-twin and you know where the game is headed, there's no shame in insta-conceding.

Nobody every concedes against Slaverlock when I'm playing. The problem is you can't shortcut on MODO like you can in real life, so you will time out before they get milled.
drakon. I was simply distracted by various people, activities, and by crazy little animals. PLaying a match on modo usually takes me about 10 mins max playing on my side. When I actually sit down and put 100% attention and focus i can play 15 turns in 2 minutes. But I will make it a point to not time out anymore because I do not enjoy giving away free wins to people.
The meta at my LGS right now is mostly American control/Gifts, Pod, and twin. No affinity/zoo/etc players lately, so I can afford to ditch the bodies for the flexibility of Fabricate.
Most Modern decks run fetchlands and a way to kill themselves. Merfolk is a notable exception, but most aggro decks are in red and can quickly burn themselves out within a few turns.
I'm debating between monoU Tron or Tarmo-Twin for this Sunday's GPT Minneapolis...
I don't understand why people are talking about needing to mill once you have the mindslaver lock. I've never milled someone to death... you take their turn, tap them out every turn, and attack with wurmcoil. Takes 3 turns to win...
I think that the idea is that sometimes you get the combo off right before you lose. Right as you combo, you don't draw cards so it may be difficult to get a wincon out with just what's in your hand. In addition to that, I don't think that you can just tap your creatures without attacking. Sometimes tapping out to attack with your opponent's creatures would just kill you. All that being said, the vast majority of the mindslaver wins that I've had haven't come down to mill, but it has come up.

If you have something big on the board or ready to hit the board, sure, but if you don't you might not get there, because you don't draw anything new.
I dunno, I can flip cards into the graveyard pretty quickly
I'm thinking of cutting the Trinket/Treasure Mages in favor of straight up 3 Fabricate and a Batterskull.
