Also, keep in mind the less spells you have, the less your Delver flips, and you want Delvers to flip as often as possible. Goyf seems like a better choice than Bob if you want more dudes, but Snapcaster + Tribal Flames is probably just better than either creature option.

With Regards to the problem of having Unburial Rites in your hand, there are two main ways of circumventing this; run a single Faithless Looting, or run a single Watery Grave.

This is very true. IMO watery grave would be the better option here.
Delver would be easily the worst card in the deck.
Michael Jacob has a brew where he switched the delvers with figure of destiny, and 3 snapcasters for 2 grim lavamancers and 1 Sygg, River Cutthroat. He also agreed delver is the worst card in the deck.
It's not that delver is bad; it's that it just doesn't flip enough for me, even with ~21 hits. If you include more I'm not threat dense enough. I feel it needs ponder / brainstorm. It's bad in standard now for the same reason (IMO).

He's still tweaking it. I think he' 3-1'd with it but wizards is behind on updating the dailies.
thank you for your input. I had a spell pierce maindeck but I replaced it with scepter/pillar. I know rule of law is kind of odd but what do you side against storm then?
Well, oddly enough I might actually be inclined to suggest the new card Counterflux although, depending on what build your opponent is running they might just be able to Remand and replay it, although this requires a fair bit of mana.
Ok I think Im Going to build this deck since control is hopeless in this format and I do enjoy a good lynx beat down. Is pilar of flame any good? I gues for finks to help vs Jund, still seems underpowered somehow. Haha twisted image is probably formwall of roots. I love the gifts sideboard plan but how reliably do you get to four mana with 22land?
pillar is a great card mainly because finks is a great card too. And its everywhere.
there are addditional uses, like stopping melira (if someone still plays that), naya pod, the new RTR troll, and other graveyard recursion shenenigans.
I dont know if its worth a MB slot, but its a great Sb card.
On that deck, it hardly looks like a wur deck. Leaving the delvers aside, it doesnt run a full set of either helix or remand, and snapcaster here is way too good not to play 4.
And whats with the 2 serum visions, 2 PtE, 1 scour and 1 image? Meta calls maybe? Otherwise, i really dont know what im seeing.
I like the idea of not having to play 4 serum visions tough.

He is using Dark Confidant and Grim Lavamancer instead. They perform a very similar function.

So I'm finishing up WUR aggro for GP Chicago next month and I want some advice from some of you guys who have been grinding with this deck for awhile. My main concern is which version is the best? I've seen WUR aggro, WUR Scepter, WUR Gifts, and WUR aggro with gifts in the SB. I just want some pros and cons of each deck before I finish mine. I'm leaning twards the Gifts Ungiven SB but think having the package mainboard would lead to many more game 1 blowouts.
I really do like the Idea of using Figure over delver though, plays so wel with all the instants and you dont need a bunch of janky cantrips etc. The card is just on such a higher power level then Delver. I dont think 4 paths are needed when you have so many bolts, there really are soo few things that actually need to be pathed. I also think Lynx and gifts want a higher land count.
Here is a more controlish build i want to try

Pillar of Flame is poor at stopping Lotleth Troll unless LOLTroll's controller forgets to put his/her regeneration mana up because Pillar only exiles if it kills, and regeneration prevents dying. (Not to mention LOLTroll's controller discarding creature cards in response.)
Well building this has brought up a lot of questions that I'll ask here I think. What is the gameplan against Scapeshift? Mindcensor seems decent but with their cryptics and pyroclasms I could see it being a bad MU for us
Pillar of Flame is a good option if Kitchen Finks is all over the place, but I actually think Forked Bolt might be better in an open meta. It's just as good against Jund and Pod decks, but it provides real card advantage rather than just marginal value. It also helps against nearly every Aggro deck, Soul Sisters included, and flashing it back with Snappy can often be the recipe we need to pull ahead.
As for Scapeshift, I imagine Molten Rain is still a decent plan against them no? Playing around Pyroclasm is old hat, and cryptic is easily disrupted by our countermagic if we see it coming.

With regards to the Sideboard I personally don't think 1 Negate is necessary, although I like to Mainboard 1/2 Spell Pierce and Spell Snare.
For graveyard hate I would suggest at least 2 Relic of Progenitus and even maybe Tormod's Crypt. Rule of Law I don't think is that necessary, and would probably replace with Disenchant or such.
That's my 10 cents anyway
