I feel mono-R is the best variant. Bump in the Night is a bad card, and Tyrant's Choice(whatever it's called) is a close second. Bump and Tyrant can't hit creatures, which is sometimes relevant. I do think that a version with DRS should be experimented with to prove me wrong.

I can't think of any acronym for DRS that isn't Deathrite Shaman, which is currently banned in modern. Is it some other card you're speaking of?
Also, I believe RW is the best, as it offers the most options. Black doesn't add nearly as much as white in terms of maindeck and SB options.
I keep wanting to cut black, then I look at Rakdos Charm in my sideboard and remember that I have no intention of leaving that toolbox out of it because it does everything we would want it to do for many matchup.

In which case, I still stand by my claim of Mono R, but BR gives your SB options like Rakdos Charm and that enchantment that makes players lose life when they're suppose to gain it.
I was thinking about cutting black, replacing Bump with Vexing Devil, and Rakdos Charm with Smash to Smitherines. Tron is fairly common in my meta. The manabase hasn't been much of a problem, though if I drop black, I can easily cut revelry, but revelry is hard to cut. However, people haven't had much trouble with Mono-Red, which is perfectly fine for me. I can cut revelry for more artifact hate/sweepers/anything. Maybe even Satyr Firedancer?
Shameless self bump.
I also have the cards to go white, be it Dega or Boros.
I guess I should have been more specific in my original post, and have given details as of my search for another possible sideboard card besides rakdos charm (I currently run 3 sideboard). What will happen is on the end of turn 3 lets suppose they will flash in pestermite and tap down one of my two lands making it impossible for me to tap the lands for rakdos charm. Now if I have it, I can bolt pestermite off the board with the land they are attempting to tap. If I don't game over. It makes me wonder if going dega would be a better choice than jund. Dega gives me access to wear//tear (1 white mana enchantment destruction), boros charm, and a better fetch for Arid Mesa. In return though I only get access to Blackcleave Cliffs and not Copperline Gorge.
Has the thought of putting 1 Blood Crypt in the Sb for charm ever crossed you mind? You'd be able to run fetches and stay mono or 2 color and g2 or g3, bring in 1 blood crypt and charms.

Sadly, If I could afford fetches, they'd be in the deck. Mesas are $40 and tarns are $70, which is $400 for the set and that's absurd.
True. I run 3 color burn but those who don't and want sb options could without giving away that they are multiple colors. Like of twin sees you run black in g1, they'll play around charm but if you fetch only mountains, they will think your mono red. G2 bring in black and they won't expect it
Hey all,
I dipped my toes into competitive burn finally! The change over from Jund feels great tbh. I piloted the following list to 4-0 at a 38 man tourny:
I played:
Scapeshift: 2-1 - I got sloppy g2 and didn't hold up my Skullcrack for his Baloths.
Kiki-pod: 2-1 - This match could have went either way. I didn't bother bolting his dorks, I just pushed through until he hit zero, if this the right play?
GB Rock: 2-1 - Wierd to be on the opposite side of this matchup! I drew poorly game 2 getting lots of Marauders that got blocked by fat 'Goyfs.
GR Tron: 2-0 - Destruction. Pure and simple. I loved taking Tron and making him feel powerless. Favorite part here was him going T3 tron+Platinum Angel, getting him to -2 and then Rakdos Charming the angel.
I'm sure you guys get this a lot but I dont have the full set of red fetches to power the deck. Question I have is, would it be worthwhile running 4x Marsh Flats over the city of Brass? Despite the mana I intend to run this next week:

I think you could probably add a Marsh Flats or two but I definitely wouldn't run a full set. They're a lot worse than the Red fetches because they require you to get a dual land, which typically is OK but could hurt in the mirror or against super-fast aggro such as Affinity or Zoo. I think this deck is OK with running some City of Brass/Mana Confluence, and you can also run Battlefield Forge if you need to. In fact, in recent days I've been testing a R/W list with no fetches, since I can't afford them - my sources of white mana are Sacred Foundry, Battlefield Forge, and a few Clifftop Retreat, and it's been OK for me. I think I still prefer mono red for the consistency but it's close.
One thing I'd change about your list is that you have 0 Eidolon of the Great Revel in the main or sideboard. The card is seriously incredible - every burn player should play it. If you have not yet seen the card's power, test it out for a few games. I used to run a few in the sideboard for matchups like UWR, Delver, and of course Storm and other such matchups. Then I went to 2 to the main and 2 to the side because I loved it so much. Now I'm running 4 mainboard and loving it. It's one of the few cards that gives me the feeling that I have a good chance to win whenever I draw it, along with Goblin Guide, and I think it's the second best card in the deck to the Guide. Even if you don't want to run it in the main deck, I'd certainly add a few to the sideboard, as it's insane for some matchups (and downright unbeatable for Storm). Other than that, the deck looks good. I'm not sure about Volcanic Fallout in the main and I'm really not sure about Pithing Needle in the sideboard, and I definitely think it's worth it to run some Searing Blaze, especially with fetchlands. I'm also not a huge fan of Grim Lavamancer but I can't deny that if you're running fetchlands it's much more effective - it's probably most effective with Eidolons, though, because Lavamancer damage isn't a spell so it doesn't hurt you and because it's another creature that your opponent must remove or they will lose to.
I am not going to lie, I dislike Blood Moon, Torpor Orb, and Grafdigger's Cage. I'm going to remove a Torpor Orb, and a Blood Moon and use Satyr Firedancer in it's place. Maybe I'll remove one Shattering Spree to move Satyr up to 3.

I decided too pick up modern while I wait for the next grinding season too start up again (I'm going into the format rather blind, since it has been awhile - so I make a fair few false leads which get me into trouble but its a learning experience).
What make my videos different from the other "PRO" videos? Well too put it simply: I'm actually not that good, I consider myself an average player which places me on the same level as most of you guys (this is evident in my horrible mass of misplays I make) - so how do I manage too win so much and retain a high rating? Good to see you here!!
I got a Modern Grand Prix coming to my town this weekend. Never played a game of Modern in my life.
Figured I would try burn and who do I see posting but you. Awesome. Probably going to run your list.
