You can definitely go a head and play more than 4 PWs in the Main I think. Maybe a 3/2 split is good. Or even a 4/1 split. I think I am going to test it out.
A new Series of Keep or Mull excercises, also added a poll for it (unfortunately am not quite sure how to do the poll in a optimal way, so you need to select one of the two options for each hand, either keep or mull, even if you can select both)
Hand #1: Against Tron, G2, on the play: Thoughtseize, Tarmogoyf, Blooming Marsh, Liliana of the Veil, Tarmogoyf, Abrupt Decay, Fulminator Mage.
Hand #2: Against unknown, G1, on the draw: Fatal Push, Tarmogoyf, Raging Ravine, Blood Crypt, Blackcleave Cliffs, Blooming Marsh, Verdant Catacombs.
Hand #3: Against unknown, G1, on the play: Liliana, the Last Hope, Scavenging Ooze x3, Tarmogoyf, Verdant Catacombs, Bloodstained Mire.
Hand #4: Against Grixis Shadow, G1, on the play: Liliana of the Veil x2, Tarmogoyf, Raging Ravine, Stomping Ground, Thoughtseize, Maelstrom Pulse.
Hand #5: Against Affinity, G2, on the draw: Bloodstained Mire, Inquisition of Kozilek x2, Lightning Bolt, Terminate, Tarmogoyf, Fatal Push.
Pls feel free to vote in the Poll of the threat, it will last for one week. Pls only vote once for each hand to get meaningful results.
I voted mull, keep, keep, mill, keep - which seems to be the consensus judging from the pool results.
Hand 1: while it has all the cards we need to beat this matchup, if you brick even once on land, t3 Karn will send you home. Mull.
Hand 2: not much action but we do have a t1 and t2 play. As well as a ravine if we proceed to flood out, which is a very real risk here. If we draw well, the lands do ensure we can cast everything. Keep.
Hand 3: it's a creature heavy hand which is still playable. Although the absence of interaction is unfortunate, there's stil a game to be had. Lasthope's +1 can act as removal in a pinch. Keep.
Hand 4: lotv blows this matchup right open. But between two green lands and grixis having so much discard, having 2 in this hand is just a liability. None will even hit the battlefield. We can't even cast that t1 thoughtseize. Mull.
Hand 5: snap keep. 1 land but 4 1 cmc spells which are relevant in this matchup. Another land unlocks our clock. Against affinity we assume the control role and take it long anyway. High chance of seeing a subsequent land off the top. No question here. Keep.
I have a couple of questions. I've been out of the loop for quite a few months, I've seen from many posts that fatal push has been quite a staple in the current Jund iteration (Traditional) and also a few more cards like Chandra, ToD. My question would be, how effective is CToD in the current meta, what kind of MU would she be useful against, is she considered a must-use? And which cards in the 75 would compliment her when playing. As for fatal push, is it considered a must get? How many copies of Fatal push would be recommended for the current iteration of Jund? How effective would those Jund deck without fatal push perform?
I run one copy of her and of the like 3 times she's popped up I was not happy to see her. TBH with the new planeswalker rule it's probably better to cut her and a LotV for 2 Liliana the Last Hope.
Need 4 Push since it kills like 90% of the top 40 played creatures or something like that, for basically the price of 1 life (off a Fetch) and 1 Black mana. I went down to 2 Bolts to accomadate it. Much like how run Green = play Goyf, now it's run Black = play Push.

Chandra is nowhere near considered a staple. Actually she sees rare play, if any play at all. From my experience, she is just a 4 mana card that says: "kill a creature which bolt or push would have probably also killed but for 4 mana. She will be dead as soon as its your turn again" (Hoax intended)
Push on the other side of things is pretty much a staple card, and you should run anywhere around 2-4 copies nowadays. It more or less has repalaced Bolt to certain extent. Some people like to run splits of Push/Bolt including myself, but you could also cut bolt completely.
I tried to design every of that 5 hands in a tricky way, including of course this one. Up to this point every option of the poll got voters, which I really like, since every hand doesn't seem that clear for everyone.
Much like how run Green = play Goyf, now it's run Black = play Push.
Neither of those statements are true. Have you tried playing Goyf in a Collected Company deck? It's a 2/3, maybe.

Going to try something a little different this weekend and try and see how far I can push Tracker and get some value of those Lili land discards with Excavator. I'll report back and let you know how I go. Also, when the rules change for PW's I am going to run a copy of Liliana, the Last Hope in place of Claim//Fame and see. My local isn't too crazy, a fair few brews so I should be in good company. I am getting rid of Bolt as I have found it to be super low impact.
I would 100% try to find room for a Ghost Quarter or Tec Edge if you're running maindeck Excavator. Based on your list, I would drop 2 Blooming Marshes for a Ghost Quarter and a Twilight Mire.

Yea, I think if I'm running excavator I would want to abuse things other than fetchlands and the occasional ravine.
What do people think if a list like this? Inconventional to say the least. I am looking for more inputt before I start testing it. It is a mix of Jund and Eternal Command.
I ended up going 2-2 last night. I beat Elves 2-1 after losing the first match. I lost to Burn 0-2, first game stuck on 2 lands and second game put up a fight but just couldn't get there, pretty sad I lost that one to be honest. I beat Siesmic Swans 2-0 after having no idea what is was and then went down 0-2 to a Red/Blue Tron deck...ouch...Ugin's, Karns...was also running Through the Breach and all kinds of things. Kinda made me wish I kept with the Ramunap Excavator / Ghost Quarter plan, which I honestly may consider for next time.
