4-0 in a 16 people fnm tonight with duke list; I dont have time for long explication about each round but I'll write something quick.
Sb change:
-1 shatterstorm
-2 leyline
-2 collective brutality (dont have them paper, they are rare in my city)
+1 night's of soul betrayal
+2 baloth
+1 lili last hope
+1 engineer explosive
Match 1:
Win 2-0
Affinity
Was easy, Lavamencer, kcommand and 4push MD did the job.
Olivia won game 1 by herself btw;
You have Etched champ on board? FINE. My Olivia hit harder (=
Match 2:
Win 2-1
Ponza (land destroyer)
Pretty hard matchup, but I was on play. I think the matchup can be win on play; very though on draw.
I got good draws. The only ''good play'' I did was:
On turn 3, there is 1 noble in his graveyard and relic on play. So I shock myself on turn 3 to get 2 green manaopoen.
At the end of my turn he used his relic to exile the noble. In respond I eat noble. In respond he sac his relic to exile
all grave. Then in respond I eat again the noble. Shocking myself on this turn was huge because I had to to eat the bird and it alowed me to play arround anger of the gods/Bonfire. On his turn 3 like a miracle he dopdecked Bonfire. If I dont do the
play, my ooze would have died and I would have lost the game (Ooze did pressure all game long).
Match 3:
Win 2-1
Bant company
Voice is anoying, Coco is anoying (thank you cage)
I conceded game 2 because I felt I was losing and we had just 15min left on timer. It wasnt unwinable,
but I was pretty sure my chance of winning game 3 were pretty high. One thing was sure. ''Draw'' wasnt a possibility.
Game 3 was pretty close. I finished at 2 Hp. Found a way to stablize the board with Olivia on board.
Match 4:
Win 2-1
Smallpox
I loved so bad my baloth in game 2. I've been so patient with it; I had tarmo on board with 4 land (1 raging ravine).
I was playing arround lili keeping mana open to active raging ravine in answer to lili. So.. if he makes me discard. I drop baloth.
If he drop lili or smallpox to kill tarmo, I active raging. He makes me discard baloth + kcommand. Then I drew a land so I attacked with baloth, tarmo and baloth. I was sad about his wrench mind.. I wanted to live my dream.
My dream is: I drop baloth, he kills baloth, he makes me discard, Kcommand bring back baloth in hand in respond.. DREAMMMM
Funny fact, exept my first win, the 3 others player I played against finished 3-1 (so I've been their only lost)
So I finished first and I've beat the 2nd, the 3rd and the 4th.
I like the list overall gg
Jund can still win and is still playable.
7-1 to my 8 last matchs at a FNM.
Congrats, nicely done! A few question concerning Reid's list that was also discussed a few posts back: How did 6 fastlands and 3 mnalands went for you? I feel that 9 lands CIPT past turn 3 is too clunkly. I also play 4 Push, 2 Bolt, but would like to stick to 2 AB and 2 KCommands, moving the singleton Lavamancer to SB. I feel that AB and KCom is a necessary evil in a wide-open meta where we can expect some number of janks that both can deal with.
I run this list last weeked to a 3-1 and 2-2 finish last weekend (losses are to Tron and 1 to DS)
Are we not worried about swarm decks anymore, because many seem to be cutting board sweepers totally? Lavamancer and Olivia are enough to keep those in check?

Like what kind of decks? Elves isn't really prevalent right now, which is the only one I can think of.

I always play 1 Damnation in my SB, and also Anger for Counters Company. Actually my meta does contain a lot of Elves, Burn and Counters Company, for which reason I have the following SB:
Thanks for the updated primer, keep up the great work!
I saw in the matchup analysis that you declared Amulet Titan as a decent matchup. However, I feel like it is (like every other big mana deck) a very difficult deck to play against with Jund. Round 14 of SCG Baltimore was another example, when Reid had a hard time to deal with a resolved Titan or a Hornet queen postboard. He got smashed 0-2, and it seemed to confirm my feelings about the matchup. Yes, discard is good against them, but their topdeck is just ridiculous. Any advice on how to deal with the deck?

Indeed Hornet Queen is the card I fear the most from the deck. The thing is though, Amulet Titan is so dependant on their ramps and Titan, that if you disrupt this gameplan, they will have a hard time from my experience. Yeah sometimes you can't deal with a titan. But we have 3 Terminate, 1 Pulse and 3-4 LoTV for them usually. And for their ramp creatures, we have a ton of removal, which allows us to slow them down significantly. I agree that sometimes the ramping is just too much and a resolved Titan is sometimes GG, but I think the matchups is far better than compared to Valakut and Tron. Might be incorrect to say its decent, but at least even.
Hey guys, Samut, The tested just got spoiled and looks interesting:
Samut, the Tested 2RG
Planeswalker — Samut (Mythic)
+1: Up to one target creature gains Double Strike until end of turn.
-2: Samut the Tested deals 2 damage divided as you choose among one or two target creatures and/or players.
-7: Search your library for up to two planeswalker and/or creature cards and put the onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library.
{4}
The plus one can make a really scary goyf or ooze, the minus two deals with lingering souls (the two halfs with two activations so is 4 mana against the 5 used by souls) which historically is a problem for Jund. Also deals with decks with small creatures but in turn 4 i don't think is so relevant. The ultimate wins games as usual.
Could it see some testing?

I just lived a dream that has single handedly given my a new love for Grim Lavamancer.
I'm playing against Mono Black. He drops a Phyrexian Obliterator, no cards in hand. I have Lavamancer and a Confidant on board, a second Confidant in hand.
I rip a Fatal Push off Confidant and draw a land. I proceed to shoot my own Confidant with Lavamancer to give Fatal Push Revolt, killing the Obliterator. I then play the second Confidant.
Next turn, he top decks another Obliterator and passes.
I rip another Fatal Push off my current Confidant, and do the same play again.
"The worst part isn't the pain, or the smell, or even the fear of death. It's hearing the clatter of bone on stone and knowing the bones are yours."BRG
My opinion on them: As always with new cards (and it should be that way), people try them out and share their experience. Some win a single fnm with the new build and claim it amazing. I personally am not a big fan of them, the god is not better than any other 4 drop (I would even say she is worse than Chandra, Huntmaster, Kalitas or Olivia), and a 5-drop is not where I want to be with Jund.
There will always be hype around new cards, but not every new spoiled card is called Fatal Push.
How do we sideboard against Grixis Delver? I kinda felt that I wanted to leave discard in to steal their counters/snapcasters/kommands, but did not really feel like siding any creature removal or threats out because they can build quite a pressure with delvers, young pyros and tasigur.
What's everyone's thoughts on Leyline of the Void? I've been running 3 in the side and loving it, sometimes even when I have to hard cast it. But Reid's recent article is making me question if it's worth the gamble. Especially when I could just run Spellbomb
There isn't really a consensus yet, some people have tested with them and some people have not. I've been testing with two Hazoret and I like them, but I'm thinking of going down to one. I haven't tested with Glorybringer but that's only because I'm a fan of an overall lower average CMC in the 75.

They usually should side delvers out against you and then the matchup plays out similarly like Grixis Control. Its a grindfest. Therefore I would cut discard as my approach. You can leave discard in, but for me the only realy reason for it is snapcaster mage, and I like strong topdecks more in these matchups.

4 Blackcleave Cliffs
4 Verdant Catacombs
4 Bloodstained Mire
1 Woooded Foothills
4 Raging Ravine
2 Overgrown Tomb
1 Blood Cryot
1 Stomping Ground
2 Swamp
1 Forest
12 Creatures
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Dark Confidant
3 Scavenging Oooze
1 Huntmster of the Fells
4 Liliana of the Veil
1 Chandra, Torch of Defiance
4 Fatal Push
2 Lightning Bolt
2 Abrupt Decay
2 Terminate
2 Kolaghan's Command
1 Maelstrom Pulse
3 Inquisition of Kozilek
3 Thoughtseize
15 Sideboard
4 Fulminator Mage
3 Leyline of the Void
2 Ancient Grudge
2 Kitchen Finks
1 Night of Soul's Betrayal
1 Duress
1 Golgari Charm
1 Anger of the gods
This list is currently tuned to my meta. But in a large unknown meta I would change it to:
Mainboard
-1 Kolaghan's Command
-1 Huntmaster
+1 Terminate
+1 Olivia Voldaren
Sideboard
-1 Fulminator Mage
-1 Duress
-1 Anger of the gods
-1 Night of Soul's Betrayal
+1 Kolaghan's Command
+1 Grim Lavamancer
+2 Collective Brutality

2 Kitchen Finks
2 Liliana, the Last Hope

1 Anger of the Gods
1 Nihil Spellbomb
This SB is not what I would recommend for an open meta, but its just an example that you still can run sweepers.

When the full spoiler is released, I imagine we should be able to talk about it then. Right now, this is the only place for such talk
