Reading all the latest posts gave me an itch to toss together a BUG list of my own. Here's what I came up with using the cards I own. There may be better choices but this is what I had in other decks, for a five minute slap together it actually goldfishes quite well.Ill put it to the test against affinity and abzan company tonight against my testing buddy.
SB isn't well thought out, just a general SB to test.
I think I have a good spread on my 1/2/3 drops.
Any thoughts?

on the play, 3 wins, 5 losses with sideboard of -4 Gigadrowse / +4 Sun Droplet
on the draw, 3 wins, 5 losses with sideboard of -4 Gigadrowse, -4 Remand, -4 Exhaustion / +4 Spreading Seas, +4 Sea's Claim, +4 Convincing Mirage
Notes:
Eidolon of the Great Revel is the worst of their package, if 1 card can be answered it's this one for sure. Can do so much damage.
I'm so excited someone good is working on this deck lol

If you can cast a spell, you're doing well, If you can't, that's okay, too. It usually takes a few turns before you have enough mana to do anything. Meanwhile, you should figure out whether you need to discard (p.11). Then announce the end of your turn, and let your opponent have a go.
Burn is forever going to be a bad match-up. In Modern, you just have to accept that every deck have some.
The only version that I tried that could consistently beat burn was my UR version that played 4 Simian spirit Guide and 4 Chalice of the void main deck.
It was quite some time ago but I must say I really liked that version and with Death Shadow being huge right now I could see it being a good reason to try it again since Chalice is excellent against them.
Chalice on turn 1 gives you free wins. Howling Mine on turn 1 too. And Blood Moon too.
I play that too every now and then since the Eldrazi winter ahah ohhh the giggles
Hello, people. Planning to take the deck for a run at my LGS this Thursday, would like to have some comments on my list, please. I'm struggling to decide between MonoU, UB or UW.
My current list is UB.
My field consists of lots of Grixis shadow, 1 elves, 1 Sun and moon, some Eldrazi tron,1 Dredge,1 jeskai control,1 Cheerios, some company decks. Basically, it's a well mixed filed
I've been lurking this thread for a long time and want to thank everyone for their contributions. I posted a tournament report and discussion thread on Reddit. Be forewarned that some of my opinions clash with the majority opinions here, but they're just opinions so do what you want with them.
I'll answer any questions there. Keep taking turns!
Thanks for the welcome! Apparently I forgot the part where I write about how strongly I dislike Remand. I think that was my biggest difference in opinion, the other being Ancestral (though I suppose that's a more split camp thing).
Welcome Daniel!
I love how well you've thought through the deck and card choices (right down to the Snow-Covered Island). That report should 100% be front and center in the primer.
I'm definitely curious about why you dislike Remand so much. Have you ever Remanded a 4-drop?

welcome! congrats on your results and damn, loved the way you wrote that reddit report of gp vegas gonna add your list at the primer but i see a lot of cards didn't impress you. would you like to post a more "stock" corrected list here so i can add this instead for the ub splash?
and we want a picture of the full foiled out deck asap
the locust god could have been such a cool card for turns since the amount of draw power we have... 3-4 tokens a turn for free O: but it costs 6 mana so meh
swarm intelligence could be very cool but again, too much mana

Locust God is sick, but its got the same problems other useful big drops do. When we're ready to play that bomb, there often isn't anything left to back it up, so we're counting on a resolved Exhaustion or some other effect to allow the Locust God to stick through interaction.
Dropping a Warp with Swarm Intelligence on the table, mine or no mine, is probably game over and a win for us. That said, it has the same problem as Locust God. It's expensive and therefore difficult to protect or stay alive after I play them.

If you're bored I'm streaming it as well, been streaming on twitch for about a month and a half now, using it to learn modern over the summer.
Push, Brutality (especially) and Tas are all anti burn.
It's a 'do you have it' match up against MonoU versions.

Very good point about the multiple fetches to avoid the needle! Still wondering about those quad-sleeves
I'll be digging in to your report more later. Thanks for joining us!
Congrats on your finish!

Edit: Yeah, pretty sure I just had too many links in my post.
Edit: Shadowban is lifted
When you are Reminding Bolt...weep.
That's what I wanted Censor to replace, but it didn't make the cut.
In fact Remand seems to be what most people want to replace...

Why did you run 2 Tarn, 1 Misty, 1 Polluted Delta, and a Flooded Strand for your fetches instead of just 4 Delta and a Strand?
Also great work with your top8. Inspired me to pick this deck up
