I'm a huge fan of U/B and hope to give that a shot at some point soon, and your list looks pretty close to what I'm interested in. I like the idea of mainboard thoughtseize though, have you tried / considered this?
I tried it but did not like it. There's just very little that we care in the first several turns beyond surviving and getting a mine effect in play. Thoughtseize takes away our turn 1 serum/opt , turn 2 mine, turn 3 EOT dictate, turn 4 cryptic / gigadrowse, turn 5 star to chain time walk effects. So while it's nice to see their hand and pick out some problem card, it does slow the deck down a full turn to fire a toughtseize off in those first few turns, there's just too many turns where you're tapping out for all your mana right out of the gates to be able to take a turn off. Additionally, -2 life is a bit of a burden and it's almost a completely dead draw once you're chaining turns. I usually play 2-3 Collective Brutality on the sideboard, but the hand disruption element is not their main use.
In general, disruption is best when you pair it with a clock, which this deck fundamentally cannot do. It's also best against control decks, which this deck already has a good match with since they play without much pressure and Gigadrowse is basically unstoppable EOT.
When do you guys chose to put Laboratory Maniac in the sideboard as an alt wincon?
Are there any color comobos in turn decks where it just can't find a slot it the sideboard?

Yes, I am that guy.
Yes, I have had my nose broken before.
No need for more wrath on this deck. the purpuse of going UW is the cheap removal(path), cheap "gain-turn" (silence) and better SB cards(stony silence/leyline/timely reinforcement/ect...)

I don't. Personally I think it is too narrow and I can't think of a relevant match up were we could need it.
if i go infinite, i can cast Cryptic Command bounce Worship/whatever you have on the battlefield. the problem of this deck always as been the first fews turns before the combo. not the combo itself.

Any thoughts on Bounty of the Luxa? I was just thinking, it can ramp us into a guaranteed turn 5 turn spell(maybe earlier if you use more ramp and the next turn after your turn spell it draws us a second card. Also on turn five, we can use its mana to play a howling mine effect and a turn spell. Of course, it probably wouldn't be ug turns, it would have to play black or white for better sideboard and removal.

I played the mirror at a team unified modern even this weekend. My team and I thought it would be best for the crazy deck to be the middle seat to face the likely tron, affinity, GDS decks. Apparently the other team had the same idea. It was absolutely mind boggling to be sitting across from the same deck. Knew it RIGHT AWAY too because game 1 I was on the draw got lucky so my opponent played an island and pass into my painless city of brass and I play an island. His turn 2 plays and island and passed. Gigadrowsed me on my upkeep, both lands! I just sit back and groan to my team mates saying "no WAY, is this the mirror???"
The guy wasn't quite sure yet but after I dropped my dictate on MY 3rd upkeep after he drowsed me again, he knew it was game on.
I ended up taking down the match in 2 games but it was a real hard battle. He brought in TitI's and landed 2 by turn 3 and both flipped by turn 5 or 6. Had me dead but I kept finding cryptics and exhaustions and eventually beat him down with snappy beats.
He was off commandeer but I was certainly playing around it and not casting time warp, sticking to the non-targeted versions! Needless to say, the match was fun to play, but VERY HARD to navigate. At one point, he was exhausted for 2 turns in a row, but made the land drop each turn so I got my third (plenty of mana open) and with his 2 mana, remanded exhaustion. I could have countered the remand, but I just let remand resolve and recast exhaustion. I won that game
Cool report! But, shouldn't commandeer give you the non-targeted warps, since you control the spell?
It does. Commandeer makes a spell functionally identical to a player having cast the spell themselves. There is no way to play around Commandeer with non-targetted spells.
OMG, that's right! I was thinking that commandeer had the same wording as ricochet trap or swerve that changed the target of a spell to another target. Since temporal mastery and PtW don't target, they cannot be trapped/swerved.
Either way, the match was extremely hard to navigate; much harder than traditional UW control even!
I don’t think there was any turns decks present, if so I didn’t see them when I was watching coverage. But be expecting and increase in lantern and mardu pyromancer since they just took 1st and 2nd respectively, especially if you’re playing online.

I got a taste of modern this weekend going 3-2 at my LGS.
Lost in three close games vs affinity, won 2-0 versus mono-white commons, martyr-proc and G/B tron. Martyr is like a bye and our tron match up is amazing with mono-U. Especially against lists that don't play warping wail.
I lost the win and in for top 8 vs U/R storm. He had the remands when it mattered.
I have been testing Leyline of Sanctity in my mono-U list as a 4 of in the sb instead of Chalice of the Void. It has been terrible. I don't think I will be taking them with me to Lyon.
Against those matchups it's pretty bad (leyline that is)
But then those aren't what it's for.
Burn, GBx decks with lots of discard, ad naus, valakut, it's even decent against lantern (stops them from being able to mill you with shredder).
And yes, storm. Not amazing there but OK at least.

Modern: G Tron, Vannifar, Jund, Druid/Vizier combo, Humans, Eldrazi Stompy (Serum Powder), Amulet, Grishoalbrand, Breach Titan, Turns, Eternal Command, As Foretold Living End, Elves, Cheerios, RUG Scapeshift
So I bought into the deck on MTGO and can confirm Exhaustion currently does nothing.
Also Commandeer doesn't seem to work on spells that will become permanents, submitted both as bugs so hopefully I can start getting some proper practice in, not every opponent is willing to play along and tap themselves out in their upkeep :/

Currently working on making the best Time Warp deck in here: Taking Turns
Oh jeez. There aren't any decent alternatives :S. Raise it with the devs?
