it's fast. *really* fast. There are some hitches i'm trying to work around though, namely a greater weakness to quick sweepers. I've like running counters in the board as a way to tempo through sweepers and for the most part it's been fine.
I'd really like some way to fit a 5th lord (elvish champion) in the maindeck. I feel like the deck really needs it, but I can't see going to 17 lands, feels really rough.

A bit off-topic, do you think Growing Rites of Itlimoc is gonna go up? Thinking of letting the hype die down a bit before I buy into it.
I'd wait a week or two for packs to get opened and cards to hit the secondary market before buying into anything at what are still basically pre-release prices. Especially for a card that's printed at rare.
Update: First and only Ixalan pack I cracked had a foil & Growing Rites of Itlimoc. I never crack packs like I used to, but anytime a new set comes out, I always buy one for nostalgia sake. This is one of the rare instances where I actually cracked something useful lol.

Thanks for posting your list; good to see someone else playing around with blue. Have you tried/thought of running [card]Nissa,
Steward of Elements[/card] ? I bought a play set sometime after Amonkhet's release with intentions to make her work in a Sulai Elves build, but haven't had the time to do much brewing as of late.
I'm moving away from Abzan as I don't see it being as competitive as the GB and GW Vizier versions. I'm going to try GB for now for more consistency and grind. I'll let you guys know how it works.
For everybody who is questioning the competitiveness of GB Elves, here are the results of the ,,Modern Classic SCG Dallas'' (Top 32).
Three Elf-Decks in the Top 32, one in Top 8:
#8 GB Elves Ryan Clement (2 Lead the Stampede, 1 Throne of the God Pharao and 1 Growing Rites of Itlimoc as well as Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx Mainboard)
#14 Abzan Elves Josepth Pizzo (Vizier Combo, 1 Selfless Spirit, 4 Chord of Calling Mainboard)
#25 GB Elves Lloyd Rich (4 Chord of Calling Mainboard; 1 Temple Garden for Selfless Spirit in the SB)
Notes:
- No straight GW Elves in Top 32.
- Basically each GB colour-combination present (straight GB, Abzan with Combo, and GB with White for Sideboard).
- Lead the Stampede as well as Chord of Calling Mainboard present.
Stream was fun - watch back the replay if you want a masterclass on how to play the GW v Lantern matchup *then watch how quickly to lose the same matchup the match after*.

The one that top 8'd is very interesting. Especially that SB'd SOLAS and Driven to Despair. Also, the guy that got 14th had a very diverse sideboard. Tunnel Ignus and Magus of the Moon. Wow.
@Syreal94 I was able to skim through some of the matches. After playing a few with GW how do you feel about it vs. GB? Also, against that BW planeswalker/token deck at the 2hr 4min mark you cast Collected Company with Ezuri in hand at the end of their turn while they were tapped out. You flipped two devoted druid along with an Eternal Witness and a couple others. You ended up taking Druid and Witness, but two druids plus a green source and an Ezuri in play will net you infinite mana.
Anyway, thanks for more content! I always appreciate the streams.

I know double Devcted + Ezuri nets a kill, but I also saw a chance to style so I left it hahaha
Hey guys, got a question considering growing rites of Itlimoc, Nykthos and Westvale Abby. I'm running a GB list with Nykthos as my only t1 non-green source. Since I want to try Itlimoc, and running both, Nykthos and Itlimoc, might be a bit overkill when Itlimoc flips, would it be worth running a Westvale Abby instead of Nykthos? I tried the Westvale few months ago, but liked the Nykthos much better. Any thoughts on that?
Good question, and I think the answer isn't clear.
Depends on how many rites you're intending to run in the first place, how important you'd rate the need for a nykthos/cradle effect in your deck for those explosive turns and so on.
I happen to rate the effect quite highly, as a redundant way to max out on "archdruid" levels of mana. In that regard I'll be testing 2 rites and 1 nykthos in my deck and seeing how it plays out.
You may feel differently though and value the versatility of having two types of effect in the deck

Tried to brew an Abzan list with the combo. The result was terrible. I had to trim a lot of cards to fit in the full 5 cards. Maybe I was just unlucky or I misplayed my hand a lot. I'm a bit rusty due to a tight schedule. Match-up also didn't help. Grishoalbrand, BG Death Cloud, RG Breach. Nevertheless, I'll keep testing it out to see if it really can't be done.
Summary of list: (can't type the whole thing as I'm on mobile)
SB: thought there would be a lot of control so I brought a grindy sb. Turns out it should've been go fast and bring hate.
2 Garruk Relentless, 1 Nissa VF, Lifecrafter's
GW w/ Combo, Shaper's in the board. I miss Kitchen Finks but finding slots seems impossible in the GW deck.
I'm rewatching these, hope to catch you again live soon. I noticed two Ewits in one list the other day, just something you're doing with GW? Or just trying it out overall? I figured it was just more resilience for the combo pieces of GW.
I've been running just two dismember in my GB build SB, I've noticed many GW lists run 3 path, any thoughts on adding a 3rd removal spell into GB SB? A 3rd dismember seems painful, abrupt decay seems like an option but doesn't kill everything we would want to.
Watching your GB stream turned me to dropping Nykthos for Westvale, best change I've made to the deck in so long. Flipping westvale is a ton of fun and it happens much more often than I thought it would.
Thanks again for all the Q & A and the time you put into streaming, I've learned some things.

Two E-Wits are to make the Coco's stronger from GW, and to have more combo redundancy while also having a stronger card in grindy matchups.
I think you can run 3 Dismember if you're after that sorta thing, GB can afford it because you can pay for it with your mana. I've been playing GW w/ 2 Dismember and have been happy with it, although Path is excellent against Burn so maybe I should try it. I think Westvale is extremely powerful in GB, and I'm a little uncertain about it in GW despite having won a couple of games with it. The power comes from the reach GB has compared to GW where the mana from Nykthos might be more powerful.
Anyone tested Shaper's Sanctuary in the sb? Please share your results and give some insight. Is it worth using it? What cards did it replace in the sb? Thanks in advance

@Syreal94. Looks like you are in the GW version now in-spite we both have same view before that it was clunky. It is much prone to spot removal but I believe it is still a better version to GB. Now, Is there any chance that could you also test the Cloudstone Curio? Even just a couple of run. I want to see you play it and have your opinion on the version.
