Have you considered Collective Defiance in the Tormenting Voice slot ?
It can be a more versatile option and still discard when necessary (and potentially help in land-flooding situations).
So my record overall has been garbage with eternal scourge builds lately. So I had a heart to heart with myself and went back to my favorite build. A Demigod build, but unpike a standard build I went with a build around that didn't really aimn for a blowout win.
Reckoners are still up in the air, but they're pretty good vs Dredge/death shadow so mynlogicnis that since I'm not playing relic, I cant play scourge, and I'm making my dredge/grixis/death shadow matchups worse as well.
So I side grafdigger's cage and I'm experimenting with Torpor Orb since I'm not playing any Pia and Kiran.
list looks like it just came out of a time machine lol
I think you can probably cut a simian and maybe something else for some more pyrite spellbombs. It's a pretty decent card on its own, and it can help fuel for a monster Harvest Pyre.
Actually, I'd personally go -1 tormenting voice, +1 Spellbomb. Moon is so good right now 4ssg doesnt actually seem like overkill. Did you consider running rabblemaster with the monkeys??

Yes actually I have. Though I think I consider cutting molten rain. The card has been lackluster lately. I like the idea of adding another spellbomb too.
Granted, I just started out with the deck, but Molten Rain has been an all-star for me. I don't see how you buy the time to beat Tron or Eldrazi decks without it, and both of those are Tier 1. Furthermore, I think the Jund and control matchups also get shakier without dedicated land hate. Blood Moon obviously hurts them, but they come prepared to face it, and "find one of 4 cards or lose" doesn't sound like the steadiest plan in my opinion. Not having maindeck Relics alongside Angers in what is a very Dredge-centric metagame also feels shaky. I'm still feeling my way out with this deck, but this is what I have so far:
The only fiddly bits on this list in my opinion are the 3/3 mainboard Anger/Moon split (which may be too few of either), and the presence of Magma Jet, which I'm still testing. If it doesn't work out, I'll probably look into mainboard Roasts and maxing out on Anger of the Gods.
How do you guys board in molten rains against eldrazi and jund? I really have a hard time taking things out to make space, and even if I can find some space, I feel like I usually have better cards to put in (eg Roast > Molten Rain vs Jund. Rabblemaster > Molten Rain vs Tron)
Is everyone's opinion on Koth that he should be a 4 of? I've always thought 4 of a planeswalker seems like too much but maybe I'm wrong...
Also I've maxed out on anger of the gods and it feels real good to me
Thirdly, my feelings on maxing out on blood moon is that it's just too much. It's a home run in many match ups but it has completely diminished returns when you draw the second one most of the time. 3 feels right to me.

Koth of the Hammer is the 100% the reason we are mono red. People may have forgotten but Skred Red is a deck built around Koth, not Skred. Koth is both a win condition and an engine that makes all the gears for our deck turn nice and smoothly.
I'd cut Skred itself before I cut even one of my 4 koths anyday.

On BLoodmoon, This depends on your build, I run simian spirit guides, so I'm all in on the turn 2 moon. If you're not about the fast lock out three is fine. Bloodmoon is such a powerful card that its worth the dead draw in later game to up the chances of me hitting it in my initial 7. Also the longer the game goes on the worse Bloodmoon gets, since there is more of a chance that they draw into the one or two basic in their deck to break the lock.
Went 3-1 at fnm again. Koth has been pretty lackluster in my trials. Granted it's only been two weeks but chandra, torch of defiance has been way more powerful and useful. Koth is great on an empty board but very rarely is the board actually completely clear. Chandra actually protects herself or allows u to +1 for 2 mana to bolt or skred whats left. Think I'm going to try a 3/3 koth/chandra split

I don't have much trouble siding it in, honestly. So many of the cards in the maindeck are dead against Tron. Here's my sideboard plan vs. Tron:
You can talk me into perhaps cutting Magma Jets for Shattering Sprees, but I think burn that can go to the face is at least decent here, and the Spree doesn't have as many targets as it once did.
The Eternal Scourge weren't amazing, i feel like this card could be replaced.
Round 1 : JUND 2-0 : I Blood Moon the guy, and keep the graveyard in check with Relic, and Pia does a lot of work, game 1 i Anger away two Grim Flayer which was a very good start.
Round 2 : Grixis Control : he dosent do a lot, bunch of 1 mana draw cards, i Pia and put pressure with 4/4 from Koth, while burning the creatures. Had Blood Moon both games but he fetched into basics.
Round 3 : Infect : I destroy him both game via turn 3 Blood Moon, and burn away his guys, deck was on fire !
Round 4 : Jeskai Flash : Game 1 i Blood Moon and he can't deal with Stormbreath, also Anger 2 for 1 for value, and Pia makes good blockers. Game 2 i get stuck on 3 lands, dies to Resto Angels. Game 3 i throw away a few threats and he counters them so i can play a turn 5 Dragon safely, i play a late Blood Moon that stops his manlands, he double bolts dragon then i draw Pia and put more pressure for the kill.
Fun night, Relics were amazing, honestly the deck played perfectly, not a super fan of the 2x Eldrazis, i feel like Rabblemaster could be better in the mainboard. I need to work on the sideboard also, ive not played Modern for 3 years just came back in the format.

Congrats on the 4-0! Nice to see skred friends doing well. Personally I've had great experiences w/ Eternal scourge. I had to go up to 3 main. The resiliency at times is stunning.

I've mained Molten Rain in my deck for a while. Partially because I don't have Blood Moons and am not really in the mood to put the cash down for them on the hobby now, but also because there are a lot of decks where it is legitimately a better play.
As for going down to 3 Koth, I can say from experience that while you can do this, you rarely should. There are so many games that a Turn 3-4 Koth just pushes your opponent right to--or over--the edge. Remember, Koth for 4 mana can threaten 4 damage immediately, 4 more on the next turn, and ultimate immediately after. Against any opponent without creatures to counterattack, this is a really strong threat--strong enough to become the first priority to answer. Having a second Koth when they burn a turn answering the first is often backbreaking.
It offers a lot of flexibility which the deck can certainly use:
It can be removal, burn or a kind of Tolarian Winds which can either help us get rid of useless lands (and multiples of Relic/Mind Stone/Blood Moon) and refill our hand or maybe even hit a combo deck which is ready to go off with a specific combination of cards.

I personaly am warming up to the card, but I don't think you should run any more than a 1 of. It likely competes with pyrtie spellbomb, magma jet, or additional spot removal past the obligatory 4 bolt 4 skred.

Was just explaining my reasoning for anyone wondering really.

It was used in a "Demigod" list here - https://www.mtggoldfish.com/archetype/modern-skred-red-30458
The card seems pretty good and not very explored in the archetype, it might become a mainstay like Collective Brutality has in Jund/Abzan.
