Can anyone give me a brief rundown of this decks matchups? Like how is Jund, Abzan coco, kiki, infect, GR Tron matchups.
Infect feels pretty good if you have Spellskite in the main. Tutorable GQ is great against Blinkmoth nexus.
Jund feels about 50/50. Voice of Resurgence is your best card against them.
Tron is tricky. A turn 2 Knight can ghost quarter them into oblivion, and they are very vulnerable to the combo. Collected Company is very good against them too as it can come in after their Karn and kill it. On the other hand, Ugin is a huge pain and so is O-Stone. I can't give a percentage on this one but it feels winnable.
Kiki is probably 45/55 in their favor. They can block for days and their combo is more consistent. I haven't faced much Abzan Company but I imagine it would be similar, especially since their maindeck Finks also put them out of range of a single Knight combo swing.
Not playing this deck, but just passing by and interested... Isn't Jace, Vryn's prodigy really good in this deck?
Why would he be really good in this deck? He isn't a good beater or an efficient creature by any means. The deck doesn't really fill up its yard that fast. The deck typically runs between 8-10 Instants/Sorcery spells. We don't really care about shrinking our opponents creatures either and the emblem is literally worthless.

Would Dark Confidant still be good if he punched you in the face for 5 damage a turn?

The reason I don't think Jace is played here is because in modern we are not looking to gind out a long game, while the deck can go long, its not our aim, and other decks do it way better, so we want to press our early advantages with efficient threats while the using the effects of our disruptive/hatebearish creatures to slow the opponent down.
If you saw the Standard Bant Company decks that were big just around the release of SOI, it would seem jace is a great addition, but the main difference is that in standard, this deck was able to grind out a long game fairly well, and flashbacking CoCos in those slower games is obviously insane. For the modern version, it's just not quite the same gameplan.

I'm pretty sure it was looked into back somewhere in the thread, and people looked into it for Abzan Company. The risk of not having the colourless is pretty high. Think of it as always having to use your knight search to get a colourless land instead of something else. I think it has power to be in the deck, but it stretches the mana too much.
Played my own brew of this loosely based on the E. Kassis build on a 40-man tourney. Ended up 4-2 barely making it into the top 8.
I am very happy with my build, unfortunately it feels that my version of the deck is a tad slower than Naya Company and has issues addressing specific threats. For example, Infect is a nightmare. It also feels like it is clunky hen it tries to transition between game phases (from mid game to late game especially). As soon as they release my decklist I will post it here.
I just put this together and am having a lot of fun with it. What do you think is the most important creature to have in the deck?
Knight for sure..
I should have been more clear, other than knight, what are the best creatures? What would Thassa replace? I do like the scry each turn with using her to make Knight unblockable.
For three drops, I find they can be more meta dependent since there are so many good options.
Some of my favorites are
Kitchen Finks is great against aggro and even jund/k decks. Aven Mindcensor many decks use a lot of search effects, and worst case its an evasive threat that can make use of exalted in board stalls. Loxodon Smiter can be good against UR based control decks and discard decks. Geist of Saint Traft has fallen out of favor recently a bit it seems, but could be a good choice if you plan on running thassa.

As you can see is primarily selesnya with a splash of blue imitating the approach of Kassis. I am still intrigued by the posibilities of Kira, Great Glass Spinner and Thassa in order to drive more towards blue.
I like the list, I would try to find a way to up your Path's from 2-4, since its basically the only removal in the deck. Maybe eliminate a bird or two. I'm not sold on Choke in the side either, just because it can have an effect on you also.

8 dorks is widely accepted. 2 Paths is entirely a meta call. A lot of people don't run 4 paths including Kasis's build. Why you're not sold on choke is weird to me because the deck literally runs 2 islands. Unless you aren't paying attention to what you're fetching you're most likely not going to be affected by it at all, especially since we run 8 dorks that all tap for blue.

4 Geists is too much imo - with coco you're really paying a steep price for the 4th copy with increased misses when you already have a geist in play. I think 3 is the right number. A MD vendilion clique gives you outs to a lot of things even if it is hard on mana - or rhox war monk if you're more concerned by aggro matchups. Fiend Hunter is another one to consider as a good chord target.

I've been eyeballing this deck, but isn't there a fear of it being banned out due to a sudden win-from-nowhere, much like Twin was?
I doubt it ever will, at least not before Nahiri get the axe though I hope she won't (I plays Jeskai harbinger deck too).
Knightfall combo could too easily be disrupted even compared to the Nahiri combo. Most of the game are won purely with knight beating down.

Sweet, good to know. I'll have to go through and see what all I have and if I can feasibly put together the list without spending too aweful much.

We run a few colourless lands such as gavony township, kessig wolf run, ghost quarter and/or westvale abbey as sources of colourless. The fact that Matter Reshaper puts Retreat to Coralhelm or any Collected Company hit directly into play is very good synergy.
Any input or people who have already tried this?
