Lol I traded for a friends foil selfless spirit on prerelease day. He valued it a 4$ at the time! I am personally at 50% foil, I just need to get me more expeditions!
What are peoples thoughts on combat celebrant:

Creature - Human Warrior
If Combat Celebrant hasn't been exerted this turn, you may exert it as it attacks. When you do, untap all other creatures you control and after this phase, there is an additional combat phase. (An exerted creature can't untap during your next untap step.)
well dont know if it will be competitive but sure it will be funny testing it out! good catch...im living the dream of a jund evolution deck in order to abuse of sprouting thrinax evolving in voldaren pariah or sidisi, undead vizier, but in jund colours there aren't good 2cmc drop. But at least now there is a combo out.
Goyf is a 2 drop. Scavenging ooze is also a 2 drop. If you want things that come back strangelroot and bloodghast leaves behind bodies. Bob draws you a card before you evolution.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
I'm not sure what benefit there would be to moving away from white. Voice of Resurgence and Restoration Angel support the value based aspect of the deck, Path to Exile is the most efficient removal in the format, and it gives access to relatively unique SB options. I wouldn't rule out that Jund/Temur decks could do well, but I'm not sure there's all that much merit to moving away from white.
A Temur deck seems like it may have potential, but I doubt a Jund Kiki Chord list would be better than a Naya list.

I agree, a jund Blue or jund white list could work though. Just depends on if you want to have Staticaster or pontiff and which sideboard options you want for meta. 99% sure jund white would be better

3-0-1 In my first tournament with the deck. Love the deck, but is pretty hard to play.
Play the evolution list with b/splash.
So many questions that i have:
- What version is better vs tron and tron eldrazi?
- What cards can i play to improve the tron matchup (Fulminator Mage, Stony Silence.. But something more?)
- Vs what matchups the birds of paradise and the wall of roots are bad to side it out?
Fulminator is to slow for the tron MU.
Best cards: ghost quarter, magus of the moon, stony,
G/x tron is the better MU.
Eldrazi is hell.
Almost never side our wall of roots, it can block pretry much every creature without flying.

Tron will always be very hard for the deck, but I believe the onset of eldrazi tron is slightly better. Ugin is pretty much unbeatable, while smasher and friends are more easily contained. Different versions of the deck attack from different angles. Blue decks have access to unified will type effects which are very powerful. The black versions are leaning more heavily on fulminator and stony.
It is important to note that very rarely do these sideboard cards win you the game. A single fulminator can easily do nothing, and you need to have a very proactive game plan or have multiple peices of disruption.
Cards that are not mentioned above for the matchup: selfless spirit comes in for o-stone. Crumble to dust is another option. Linvala is very powerful against eldrazi in general, and also stops the ballista out of the eldrazi-tron deck. Phyrexian revoker is cute and often does not make any cut, but if you are heavy on tron and affinity, is a fine option for the planeswalkers. Discard options like baloth are strong against the smasher trigger, as is big game hunter which is just fantastic against the eldrazi decks.
Your mana accelerants generally get cut against slower midrange/ sweeper decks. Running wall of roots is generally not great with evolution, so I would cut those 100% of the time from your 75. The reason they have vaule is because of their chord of calling synergy, and they provide no value after being sacked. Remember also that if you are trying to find a 3 mana hate card fast (anafenza vs dredge, pontiff or staticaster vs affinity or elves) then you want as many 1 drop accelerants as possible.
The deck is definitely very hard to play, and is one of the most rewarding decks in the format for knowledge of what both you and your opponent is doing. Do you have a list right now you could post?
For me
I'm 8-0 vs g/x tron (in competitive play) (in for fun I'm like 65% 1st games, 70% 2cd)
And
And 1-4 vs eldrazi tron.
(In fun games, it's like 40% first game, 30% after board)
The reason why, is because all is dust costs 7 and comes down a turn before ugin. We could care less about karn (he removes one of our lands? Boo hoo)/oblivion stone (stony/artifact hate/list goes on).
Where all is dust comes down and requires us to sac, which means only out is to get Sigarda into play, since its not an activated ability either. Ontop of walking balista/basilisk collar combo. Eldrazi tron is definitely top 3 hardest MU.
And Ugin comes down a turn to late to do anything that matters as long as you play it right.
I do have a question,
How do you guys fare vs 8 Rack?
I'm 0-7 vs them, and I've only won 2 games (competivly)
A lot of decks that bring in cage I bring in engineered explosives (ie Death Shadow) so I very rarely cut chords.
I dont know if anyone loves Courser of Kruphix as much as I do, but Courser now has a friend. Thoughts?
Vizier of the Menagerie
3G
Creature - Naga Cleric
You may look at the top card of your library. (You may do this at any time.)
You may cast the top card of your library if it's a creature card.
You may spend mana as though it were mana of any type to cast creature spells.

I love this new card. I think that it might be a little slow but, it survives bolt and keeps the top of your library secret to your opponent. In my current list I am running one Courser and I am thinking of trying Vizier in its place. Take my opinion with a grain of salt though I am inexperienced with the deck but am really thinking he has a place.
Hey Selleck,
Thought i'd take a quick look at a youtube post of 1 of your games, and I was impressed with the wall package. I had seen the wall package used twice before in different decks (shown on mtggoldfish), and decided to see how good they were for myself... turns out, very is the answer.
I'm considering building this on modo, get some reps in and then decide if I want to commit to it on paper. However, my budget isn't stunning. Are there any replacements for the following cards:
Elesh Norn
Archangel of Thune
Magus of the Moon
Chalice of the Void
I know that Archangel, Elesh and Magus all do something fairly unique, but is there a different route you've taken with any success? I'm just not in a position to splash $400 on something, never mind $200!
Chalice is still not a permanent spot. I've been testing multiple different things. Use these slots as yoir anti meta cards.
Magus: can be replaced, though tron MU will suffer, I would use rallier so you can chain ghost quarters.
The thune/feeder combo is just a preference not a requirement.
Lark/finks/courser work here.
As for elesh: caldera hellion can work as a cheap replacement.
Harbinger of the hunt
Ulasht, the hate seed
I've played about 4 or 5 matches against DSJ, I'm running a fairly standard list with 4 Chord/4 Path/2 Eldritch Evolution as my non-creature spells. In my experience bullets won't really help in this match up, if any exist. Their discard spells tend to go for your non-creature spells, while they hold up removal for your creatures. A decent player will only leave you with whatever they can deal with or just out-power.
IMO the issue won't be finding silver bullets since it's unlikely you'll ever have a board state or hand that'll allow you to Chord for more than 3, or have a creature to sac to Evo. I can see CoCo builds perhaps being able to overwhelm the board if they're fast enough, but I'm not sure since I don't have experience with it.
In playtesting I struggled with the Death Shadow Jund matchup, losing about 70% of my games. At the time I was on a Nahiri build, and it was just too easy for them to strip all my relevant cards and leave me with a few uncastable 4-drops.
I have since moved away from Nahiri because of this matchup. My new list is here: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/modern-kiki-chord/ . Since the move I have not lost a match to any variant of the death shadow build, including taking down the best player in my state who was on a jund list.
In a similar vein to elves, flooding the board is very powerful in the matchup, especially with voice tokens. Also, finding grove is amazing in the matchup. Postboard explosives and glissa will pull. Glissa has proven very effective against all versions, and is also relevant against bant eldrazi.
Fulminator definitely comes in. Even if they dont expose the white source, they play so few mana producing lands it is still valuable.
Its possible one courser should be a tracker, I have honestly never tested the card. I move back and forth between 0, 2 and 4 nahiri based on the meta. I am not a fan of the evolutions maindeck, as I am not racing to the combo, and I often dont have a bullet I absolutely need in the maindeck. Postboard when I bring in more bullets I like to have access to 1-2.

Allows the deck to move away from white for a jund or temur based strategy? It seems interesting? Jeff Hoogland mentions it in his latest article here: http://articles.mtgcardmarket.com/amonkhet-modern-movers/

Druid -> Vizier -> Chord for Witness -> Get back chord -> Chord for Resto -> Get back Chord -> Chord for Kiki
Seems exciting and devoted druid is close to a drop in replacement for Roots
Format is removal heavy.
Think would work better in a bant version where you can scry pieces to top then Company both pieces out
There are 3 other cards you can do this with now, and it still does not see play.
