Gotcha. Blood Moon has been crucial in so many matchups for me, I can't imagine going below 2 myself. Staticaster has been less and less useful lately, you're probably right on relegating her entirely to the sideboard.
On an unrelated note, I've probably been underestimating the Eldrazi Taxes matchup for a while - got my ass handed to me pretty bad the other day. Tough to keep up with all the tricks they have up their sleeve whilst not forgetting about my own.
ED&T is not an easy one. Keeping them off Vial is important as that makes the deck infinitely easier to deal with. Staticasters crush Flickerwisps/Thalias and Blood Moon can really shut them down.
Yes, great banned update for us. I called the probe ban in my area, so really happy about that one.
What was the reason for Phantasmal Image Luda? Is it just to increase the number of good hits with company or am I missing something?
Just testing again after pulling Staticaster from the main as I couldn't decide on an additional Finks, Voice or Scooze. It can be a powerhouse vs. Bant Eldrazi and can do all sorts of wacky things with Kitchen Finks/Eternal Witness.
i think now with the latest bannings i might look to move anafenza out of the main and put a Thragtusk in there. Also looking to go back to stony silence. I anticipate that Tron will be on the rise again. A tough matchup but winnable.
Perhaps a dumb and impossibly broad question, but how does Kiki-Chord look going forward after these bannings?
I've had to step away from the game for the past few months due to personal reasons, and I decide to come back as the boo-boo is hitting the fan in a big way.

fwiw, i intend to try the Felidar Guardian + Restoration Angel + Purphoros, God of the Forge combo in my Naya Chord build. Deck also runs Inferno Titan for the beats.
This is purely based on the card in a vacuum but i dont feel Felidar Guardian does enough on its own to warrant a slot. At least Restoration is decent on its own, and kiki can have value on turns after it has entered play.

This is why I can't get on board with Feeder/Thune. Restoration and Kiki are just much better cards on their own.
There's a chance that Saheeli Rai and Felidar Guardian have a place in some version of our deck. Saheeli is not a bad card on its own. It already plays well with a lot of our creatures (Wall of Omens and Eternal Witness come to mind). Yes, Sovereign is much worse than Restoration Angel on its own, but it enables a turn 4 (even turn 3 under perfect circumstances) combo, and still works with the Witness --> Sovereign --> Kiki-Jiki chain.
Also, consider this chain: turn 2 Wall of Roots --> Turn 3 Saheeli --> Turn 4 copy Wall of Roots with Saheeli, use the 4 mana from the 2 wall of Roots, plus 3-4 lands, to get Felidar Guardian, blink Saheeli and win the game if your opponent is tapped out or is a non-interactive deck. You even potentially have one land left over, so you could even get Glen-Elandra Archmage and have mana up to stop any combo decks from going off.
It even works without Wall of Roots as long as we have some number of creatures, because Saheeli can use her ability to accelerate Chord: Turn 1 Birds --> Turn 2 Voice --> Turn 3 Saheeli --> Turn 4 copy any creature with Saheeli, we now have 7 mana with which to Chord for Sovereign. In this particular scenario we even have insurance against interaction in the form of Voice.
Nahiri showed us that Planeswalkers do have a place in Kiki-Chord. Speaking of Nahiri, why not run both? The format is slowing down now, so who's to say that 4 Nahiri 4 Saheeli 1 Emrakul 1-2 Felidar Guardian can't be viable? We have plenty of blockers and removal to protect our planeswalkers.
This would leave us with three separate game-winning combos: Kiki-Felidar/Kiki-Angel/Kiki-Exarch (entirely chordable), Saheeli/Felidar (potentially our fastest combo), and Nahiri/Emrakul (gives a different angle of attack, forcing the opponent to concentrate on Nahiri). Too much to fit in one deck? Possibly, but we can dream.
Deus837 if you are playing that strategy I would run Oath of Nissa. Oath of nissa is good when it only has around 12 non targets. Often we have a spare mana turn 2, or off a wall of blossom. Having oath of nissa in play makes Felidar Guardian much better as only eternal witnes is better then impulse for 3.
My problem is that playing Saheeli seems very bad unless you have enough creatures to protect her. Just playing her and copeing a wall of omens sounds bad. Playing her and scry might be better if you can protect her, bet she just seems so fragile.
Also play an sun giant in the saheli deck. Seems good. You might also not need Emrakul if you combine the 2 planewalkers. Going Nahiri ultimate, into Sun Titan grabbing Saheeli from the grave, copy Sun Titan and attack with 2 6/6, regain 2 cards from the graveyard and you have a Saheeli on one. Often just drawing Emrakul kan be very bad.

All good points. I really like the idea of running Oath of Nissa, it seems great in a version with Saheeli and Nahiri - practically free off of Wall of Roots. And you're right that Emrakul may not be necessary. Sun Titan or even just Kiki-Jiki or Reveillark can often end the game. In terms of blockers, we typically play 3-4 Voice, Wall of Roots and Wall of Omens, which should be enough to protect Saheeli a fair amount of the time. The possibilities here are very exciting.
I like the first draft. I currently think it is a weaker version of the deck, but if we find the right number of cards who knows. I do not have the gards, I don't think I get to playtest it. With Saheeli at 25 and rising I do not think I will invest in it yet.
On thing I really realised when I looked through the deck and thought 'Where is Sun Titan or Revilark?' is that Felidar Guardian comboes with Revilark, as Revilark can get Felidar Guardian out of the graveyard. Also Nahiri can put them there.
I would cut an wall of roots and play a sun titan in that deck. Nahiri needs a pay of card, and if you are running saheli you are running sun titan. Perhaps cut another wall or roots to play a scavengine ooze. 8 mana dorks is a lot, 6 should be enough. 7 Walls is also a lot, 5 is better.
I'm all for brewing but I think people looking at weakening the deck in an effort to cram a 3-CMC planeswalker that does next to nothing on it's own and a significantly worse Restoration Angel should re-evaluate why.
What problem does Saheeli + Felidar Guardian solve? The only answer I can come up with is to accelerate the combo clock to turn 3 and 4.
If that's the case you should probably reign your focus to be more combo oriented G1 rather than adding additional removal on top of Path and trying to maintain a toolbox as wide as I'm seeing. Also worth noting that lowering your creature count to 23-24 creatures is only weakening your ability to chord in the first 3-4 turns of a game.
I think you saheli rai players needs to proxy up some decks and try it out. Until it clocks in some resoults I do not expect this archtype to be better then regular kiki chord, but the potensial nesitates somebody try playing it so we go from theory to emperical data.
- As for what Saheeli offers is a planewalker that can scry from turn 2 vs decks with little or no creatures. She also has a secondary combo with Sun Titan similar to Sun Titan and Phantasmal Image.
- Vs creatures and bolts she seems quite bad. And you can not chord for her.
-Felidar has 2 upsides. Good with oath of Nissa (not a bad card) and can be returned with revilark.
-But the rest of the card is very bad.
I personally think that the combo will be good for standard but won;t cut it in modern. I think both cards are just too weak for modern.
Fatal push will slow down the Meta but having a sorcery speed piece seems very weak. The beauty of the current combo is that at the end of turn you can play resto then untap and win. If it gets pathed (or pushed) then usually the flicker effect is on the stack getting value and you keep playing. If you are playing a more sorcery speed deck like tron that is huge because the cant use karn to get rid of resto but they will be able to get rid of sovereign or saheeli.
I haven't personally because we have had a lot of upheaval in the last week or so Now that it has settled down and the leagues have shifted to the current ban list i will start running dailies again

Clones are particularly great with reveillark and the entire combo can be larked pretty much. Metamorph + Guardian with an enabler on the board.
