With the format (hopefully) slowing down a little bit, I have tried to move away from wall of roots back to wall of omens. Right now I feel as if getting the chord off quicker is slightly less important right now, and being able to grind with the rise of midrange is more important. I have also moved back to a pair of Courser of Kruphix and am in love. The card is hard to justify on paper, but he wins games. Paired with the wall of omens I am able to find relevant piece far more consistently and am more resistant to flooding out.
Was able to 4-0 my last FNM taking down Death's Shadow Zoo, Jund, Grixis Delver and Infect
Has anyone started to test rallier? My initial thoughts were that he was strictly worse than E-wit, but I still believe in testing first and his uses as a simple ramp spell seem relevant.

Why Misty Rainforest? Wouldn't Verdant Catacombs or Arid Mesa be better as it hits more of your lands?
Hello everyone! I have been following this thread for quite a while and have been experimenting with, let's just say, unorthodox Kiki Chord lists. This version is completely untested, but I wanted to get everyone's opinions.
- The meta I expect at my store is Tron, Dredge, Burn, and maybe some Infect.
- I am wanting to find a mainboard slot for my Selfless Spirit to pair it with my in-testing Renegade Rallier.
- Please assume that I can never obtain Noble Hierarchs. I most certainly could convert to a 4 color (splashing black) version.

I want to fetch the overgrown tomb more often than sacred foundry. Misty actually hits the exact same number of lands as a catacombs, and gives less information about the deck I am playing thought they are basically the same card in the deck.
Could we play with Lifecrafter's Bestiary? I would asume we would need more then 4 first turn mana dorks. But with wall of roots we often have 1 mana to spare. The deck is chuck full of creatures and we make a lot of mana. We could just card draw for value (and scry) until we draw the combo if they go shields down.
Or is it to slow?

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
In my opinion, Bestiary is certainly too slow and clunky. Modern I think will slow down, but most decks will still be able to win on turns 4-5.
Also, Ludafish, as you have a lot of experience playing Chord and deckbuilding, could I get a suggestion from you on what to cut from my list for a mainboard Selfless Spirit? Any input would be appreciated.

I think you need to pick between being a bigger chord deck or playing Company first. Given that Hierarchs are out of your budget, I'd focus on being a Chord deck and cut the Companys.
From there I don't think it should be hard to find space for Selfless Spirit. Also, you probably want to make room for Wall of Roots.

Alright, I certainly prefer the bigger Chord deck, so I don't think it would be too unreasonable to go:
-2 Collected Company
+ 1 Selfless Spirit
+1 Wall of Roots
I'll do some more testing and see if I can get a 2nd Wall of Roots in.
Could I got a few opinions on this iteration of the deck? It's been quite some time since I last played Kiki-Chord, so I'm relatively out of touch with the deck. I feel like this mainboard is set up fairly well to beat Jund or other GBx midrange, with the Reveillark, Sigarda and Finks. To that end, I've set up the board to handle Tron, which is the other major force where I'm playing, at the least from what I've seen of the single event I've played here - the rest is a mixture of bullets that should cover my bases fairly well. I'd like to fit in a couple of cards viable against Infect, if at all possible.
In addition to general thoughts on the list, I'd like some direction as to the manabase. I'd like to slot in a Horizon Canopy, but that's going to be a pickup in a few weeks. Lastly, I'm considering swapping the Noble Hierarchs for Wall of Roots, given the low density of 3-drops and the presence of 2 Eldritch Evolution.
No concrete thoughts on Renegade Rallier yet, my gut feeling is that he's very powerful but will need some concessions in deckbuilding, not just an easy slot in. Definitely a different card from Witness, for sure.
EDIT: and, as a last thought, what's the current "stock list" of the Company version? I've read back the past five or so pages, but didn't see anything definitive.
You want to be able to cast Evolution on turn 2 if need be, Wall of Roots doesn't let you do that.
Looks pretty stock to me otherwise, I don't know if a 4/2 split makes sense though.
3 Stony Silence seems like an awful lot unless your meta is swarming with Affinity. It's ok against Tron but it really won't swing the match in your favor on its own.
There aren't any 'stock' CoCo lists but Ludafish has a great one in his sig that I've also been running for a while.
There's a lot of back and forth or Renegade Rallier and testing it out I haven't been able honestly get any consistency out of the card across current Chord or Company variants.
The shell I was able to get it to do some cool stuff in, I only got to play about 10 games with and didn't really have a chance to tune at all.. AKA definitely needs work and is more than like just a worse version of my current list:
Eldrazi Displacer + Renegade Rallier can get pretty wild. Displacer is a fantastic utility creature in general.. hits off company, protects your creatures and fogs opponents while abusing ETB effects. Unfortunately it requires you to support colorless mana in the MD which I'm currently at 8 sources with a 61 card MD.
Probably something I'll play with a bit in the future.. but thought I'd share the idea for now since everyone's been talking or asking about Rallier.
Debating bringing back 2 copies of Disdainful Stroke to deal with a Tron and Scapeshift-heavy metagame for an upcoming GP Trial.
Thoughts? Third Blood Moon a better idea?
Stroke often feels narrow against anything besides Tron/Titanshift. Unified Will might be a better option as it can deal with everything from either deck and do work in other areas as well. I've been fairly unimpressed with counters out of the board in general from the Coco lists in the past though.
Yeah I hear you, it's not really what we want to be doing at all... but I feel like I'm forced to resort to unintuitive measures here - there's just no way I can beat Tron / Shift otherwise.

If you wanted this type of effect for grindier MUs like Jeskai/Jund you could look at something like Fecundity or Evolutionary Leap from your board.
Also, Ludafish, as you have a lot of experience playing Chord and deckbuilding, could I get a suggestion from you on what to cut from my list for a mainboard Selfless Spirit? Any input would be appreciated.

Still, maybe he will se play in a non-combo bant version. That mana base would be able to suport TKS aslo.

Great plan, I like using a variety of cards to deal with a deck. At times a narrow focus can prove ineffective.

Top 8 in Japan
It looks like a fun breath of fresh air to try out.
Looks fun for sure, but why in god's name would I want to run Demon of Dark Schemes when I can play Massacre Wurm for the same cost?
And that Bloodline Keeper? 2 Ninja of the Deep Hours? I don't know, some of these card choices just seem terrible.
