Firstly thanks for the links to the games. I've only seen the first match so I can't comment on Eldrazi2 yet.
In the first match that deck seems more like 2 Eldrazi (Seer and Smasher) shoved into a Tron shell (I saw a Karn, Exp. Map and Grove otB. in there) with Eldrazi manabase. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see ANY Eldrazi Mimic, Chalice of the Void or Endless One or any other Eldrazi for that matter. You played it well and congrats on taking it down but it looked to be a weaker, watered down version that was a hybrid of RG Tron with Seer and Smasher thrown in. The lists that took down the PT were more explosive for sure. Again I need to watch the second video to see what it was like.
I think we are positioned decently against the new Eldrazi decks, but facing T1 Mimic, Mimic and T2 SSG & Smasher, attack for 15 or facing a turn one or two Chalice is going to put the screws to us and make us work. Painter's Servant does seem to put the kibosh on the quickness though.

Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Okay, watched the second one as well. Saw it had the Mimic, Endless and SSG in there. More "typical" Eldrazi list. Still did not see Chalice though. Looks like with my 4 MB Ensnaring Bridge I can be well positioned in game one. Again, thanks for sharing.

No problem. Main boarding Bridge almost feels like cheating. The guy I was testing against said the bridge was by far the most problematic card for him. He found it very difficult to deal with.
We could get even nastier with cards like Buried Ruin. Hell, if an eldrazi meta was guaranteed, we could go "all-in" on the bridge plan to play around protecting it. COULD Eldrazi deal with 8Rack? Sure... if they are prepared for it. But why would they be? 8Rack is a garbage discard deck played by noobs to them. No one prepares for 8Rack. That's why 8Rack always works. Lol.
Anyways, until Eldrazi gets banned (obvously will happen) 8Rack can have a pretty nice meta spot.
BTW guys, Painter's Servant works pretty well for us against Eldrazi. It turns off Temple and Eye and Even Ancient Stirrings! I wanted to mention something - Eldrazi is obsoleting Tron currently. This means that our worst matchup is being phased out in favor of this Eldrazi thing. Now Eldrazi is good and in no way to be considered a super easy match, but it's infinitely better than our Tron match was.
It makes all cards have a chosen color in all zones. Therefore Eye of Ugin and Eldrazi Temple can't be used to cast colorless because there are NO colorless cards. As a side, Ancient Stirrings has no colorless cards to search up as well, including lands. Hopefully I've described it properly.

I mean on one hand its kinda neat since it officially makes 8rack more expensive then my B/U mill deck. (They were pretty even for a long time)
What brought it about? Is it the eldrazi? I can understand Bridge but if so, why Urborg as well?

I think 8rack can have a good matchup against Eldrazi, but the Chalice turn 1 can really screw us hard, even if you find a bridge you end up full of one cmc cards in your hand. Also, those ratchet bomb mb are also really strong against us. I'm still testing on cockatrice but with my B/W version I now run 3 disenchant and 2 engineered explosives sb.

ensnaring bridge has been correctly identified as a card that is very good against elf taxi and quite a bit of the tier 1 and tier 2 meta-. It's no surprise it's going up in price, the only current deck that is using it however is 8rack. What I mean by that is that 8rack is probably the only deck that someone may have heard of that is using it. It doesn't mean that the card was in playable up until now, in fact most of my decks have been abusing ensnaring bridge since modern was first created. See my red white lockdown deck and its mono white variations
Except without those 1 cmc spells you can't win the game, so sitting behind the Bridge is absolutely pointless. Even if you run non-rack win conditions, such as a Pack Rat or Nyxathid, they can't attack because of your very own Bridge, which neither you nor your enemy can destroy. At that point your single card that does anything is Liliana, who can't win the game without an already established rack effect (prior to the Bridge ensnaring the board) or through her ultimate, with which you can either destroy your own artifact and hopefully have 10 Pack Rats left to swing with, or try to widdle their side of the board enough to not die once your defences are down. In either of those possible outcomes, unless you are playing for a PT top 8, playing it out is pointless, will get both of you to Time, and then you don't advance anyway because he has better tiebrakers than you because he is playing Eldrazi.
I lost my train of thought somewhere along the way but whatever, a point may have been made and that's good enough.
Certainly an interesting and creative tech choice, I like it a lot. Personally if I was going after their lands I'd Spreading Seas them... or, you know, whatever the black card for that is (has been brought up before). I still think I'll wait for the meta to adjust and police itself at least a little bit but I imagine Affinity and Infect will be more problematic, in that order, so I'm dusting off my set of Disfigures for sideboarding purposes. Anyway, I digress. Painter's Servant seems a very cool way to tackle the Eldrazi problem.
The cards you may be thinking of are Evil Presence and Contaminated Ground. I've been playing around with them in an MBC Devotion deck prior to the recent Pro Tour. I haven't had much chance to test against the current colorless Eldrazi builds, but I used them to nasty effect against the Black Eldrazi decks, typically losing to either mana screw or mana flood. Otherwise, life was pretty good. I have no doubt that 8Rack can be tweaked to take advantage of this, as they also manage to hit the Wastes that Blood Moon misses.
how can we handle a turn1 chalice of the void. This would stop us from casting rack and affliction, and we do not have anything to kill this artifact other than lilliana ulti? It would be interesting to see how we could handle this...
Well I've gone to BR 8rack and there is plenty of red artifact destruction, even some at 2 or 3 cmc. I'd say start to use Ratchet Bomb against them. I actually have it as a +2 in my SB currently. Maybe Engineered Explosives set to 0 as well. Fight fire with fire.

Lantern Control uses 4 Ensnaring Bridges as well, and RW Lockdown but that's even less popular than 8rack. Even Burn is looking at using the bridge as a way to stop the colorless trash in their filthy tracks.
To those worried about chalice - it has literally never been a problem for 8Rack. If they want to hate on 8Rack use Leyline. THat card is a lot more problematic to play around and we end up completely depending on lili and pack rat. Chalice is an easy fix EE set to 0. Not to mention thats literally all they have against us. The rest of our deck still shreds them to pieces. But they don't REALLY want to hate on 8Rack do they. No no. that would mean 8Rack was a thing worth considering. The chalice is in there ostensibly to block burn and affinity things. So, as usual, 8Rack can enjoy a scenario where no one bothers to side in any of tons upon tons of hate cards that could easily shut it down.

Rob, I watched your matches against eldrazi and found the same results using a list sans LotV ($$). With pretty standard play choices eldrazi aren't that tough for this deck. Ensnaring bridge is a house obviously. Thought knot seer and world breaker are their only answers.
