Tournament report from a PTQQ today (Made T4), a bit different take on the deck as I have been experimenting with many things will have comments after report, but first my list. Sorry not good at formatting could use help with that.

I have found that Tectonic Edge helps me win games more often than does vault, and with the amount of BB and WW needed for early plays in this deck I don't like going above 2 colorless lands, and 2 tec edges seem best. As far as both Baneslayer and more Lyelines I don't have them right now, though I have tested Baneslayer on MWS and Cockatrice in the past though that was with bob, but I always felt the 5 mana is a big ask in modern for a card that doesn't win immediately, however sure against burn it's awesome, as for leyline I could see maybe going to 2. I don't want to overside against burn since it isn't a huge part of the metagame like Delver or Pod are, I mean it is there but not in those numbers.

@Vegas10: Are you tried Orzhov Pontiff??, seems very good this days.
I personally like Zealous Persecution better, being an instant it can make combat real one sided or punch through surprise damage for the win, but I could definitely see trying pontiff out in the SB as a 1 or 2 of.
Thanks for reply, Vegas. So, is Deadguy still competitive deck? Do you have good results with it in this metagame?
Yes it is competitive, but is it one of the best choices right now, probably not but I and others in here are trying to find the optimal build, once that happens then I think this can be answered more fully. I think the disruption package gives you game against almost anything, but I don't feel like you have any free wins, which going into a big tourney it is nice to have a few. I do feel it has good matchups and bad ones.
I think Monastery Mentor could find a home here, but it seems like he will want more cards to help protect him. Unlike Pack Rat, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, or Hero of Bladehold, Mentor does not survive bolts, but I think you can get a lot of value from him by playing things like zealous persecution, which would require you to build around him a lot more than our other win cons.
I totaly think Monastery Mentor could have a spot in the deck. Seems really good with all the discard and removal spells aswell as Lingering Souls. We just need a cheap instant that gains enough value on it's own so that we can play it to protect the Mentor and get a little two-for-one action. I'm a big fan of Darkblast and Zealous Persecution myself but they might be too situational. Also if Monastery Mentor is to replace Pack Rat, Honor of the Pure could be a thing.
I was thinking of it more as a Brimaz replacement. Having 8 Pack Rat equivalents would be an amazing trump in the midrange matchups.
Should have looked a little bit back in the thread. I echo this sentiment. MM turns our discard into guys late game. Sure he is more fragile than Pack Rat, but we have plenty of ways to protect him with our hand disruption. Will have to test to see how well it works in practice, but I think this guy has a place in really grindy decks.
Sure the discard goes a long way towards protecting Monastery Mentor and it might be enough. The problem is as always the top of our opponents deck.
I'm not saying that either Monastery Mentor or Pack Rat is too week. What I am saying is that the issue with both of them is the same: if you don't leave mana up when playing them it will invite the opponent to get rid of our threat without us getting anything out of it except the removal spell from the opponents hand.
Too many of these kinds of cards might be hard to run without a sufficient amount of instants since it will force us to play less efficiently. Either by leaving mana up for maybe producing a Rat Token but not being able to play anything else on our opponents turn - or taping out for a discard-spell to make a Monk Token even though we really didn’t have to look at the opponents hand and instead could have put that card and mana to better use.
That’s why I think all 8 creatures is too much and also why I think we might need to look for a cheap and versatile instant too run in the deck.
I would agree with the previous poster, as I have always played a really controlling game by wearing down an opponents threats until they are hellbent and then playing a out Pack Rat or another win con. If you are playing Monastery Mentor, then I think you need to drop the rats (especially since making more rats via discard or more prowess tokens by playing spells are mutually exclusive).
Either way, I know from experience that Pack Rat is best friends with Dark Confidant, and I can't see MM being any different.
To me it seems like you have a lot of places to life with bobs, dismember, bitterblossom, and thought seize. I would cut down your targeted discard and add more removal personally, possibly an utter end or something to hit a permanent instead of straight up creature removal. Instead of dismember have you considered smother?
I belive that Utter End it's too expensive: i run Phyrexian Arena over Bobs but, still, i've noticed that, in this deck, having 4 mana open it's like an utopia.
About Smother i've thinked about it, but sadly we risk too much: Restoration Angel, siege Rhino, Stormbreath Dragon...i mean i don't want to hope in a Path for all this things.
Are 10 creature enough? I'm a little concerned about it.
I run 3 Crusaders (+ swords), 4 rats, 4 Scullers, 1 baneslayer angel... and still sometimes i feal week in that spot

I wouldn't use him right now too many decks running burn packages that make him a big liability right now.

Yep.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
Has anyone else here been thinking of Monastery Mentor in the 3 drop slot?

10 creatures might be too few. Right now I'm trying Bitterblossom out cause they seem very good with Sorin, Solemn Visitor but they could be switched out for 2 Monastery Mentor for example.
Mirran Crusader is probably awesome agains Jund/Junk but is really bad agains red in general. That's why I run them in the board.
