2-2 overall result tonight. Tombstalker was fun but it's not good enough with my list. Ajani is going to get axed for a Night's Whisper most likely while Tombstalker is probably going to be a land of some kind.
Round 1
Ad Nauseum
1-2
He comboed the turn before I could Slaughter Games his Lightning Storm, lame.
Round 2
Infect
2-0
Squadron Hawk and Tombstalker were the MVP's this match, forced out the buff spells by going for kills on my turn.
Round 3
Grixis Death's Shadow
2-0
Honestly this feels like the best matchup for me, Rest In Peace and Mirran Crusader put in work.
Round 4
Copy Cat
1-2
I had the most abysmal luck this match, didn't see any creatures in any games except for Squadron Hawk, 1 Thunderbreak Regent, and an Emrakul thanks to Nahiri. No Lingering Souls, no Butcher, no Nahiri post game 1, nothing.

I also went 2-2 last night beating a mono white brew and burn, losing to skred red and jund. For next week I plan on running back my list but I am looking into obtaining 4 copies of Dark Confidant and running a more midrange list. The problem with this idea though is that as opposed to something like jund, mardu lacks good 2 mana beatsticks.

Hence, you have to build to mardu's strengths - disruption/removal & ability to grind. It's why I find playing Sculler and SGM in the main important. Some numbers of Abbot, Reveler, *insert grindy card*, etc. is important in addition to bob's. We want to make our K. Commands as good as possible if we draw one later in the game.
Am I the only person who finds Liliana OTV quite lackluster in Mardu?
EE is quite good in Mardu since it flips for 0 off Bob and deals with some of the more problem permanents (Chalice, Etched Champion, tokens, etc.) that the deck stumbles against.
Wall of Omens just seems really out of place in your list.
Made the decision to change out Tombstalker and Ajani Vengeant for Ghost Quarter and Night's Whisper. Could use some feedback on my sidedeck if anyone's willing to give it a look. Most frequently seen decks are Infect, Bogles, Grixis Death's Shadow, Living End, and Mardu Control. I'm still running the heavy flying Midrange build from last page.
I think that is a fine SB. The only real change that I'm inclined to do is change the crackling doom for Blessed Alliance.
I love crackling but with the current meta Blessed does a lot more.
The Bogle player runs 4 maindecked copies of Leyline of Sanctity, Crackling Doom gets around Leyline while Blessed Alliance doesn't. Mardu Control and another player who switches between five different decks also run 3-4 copies between main and side. Used to run Blessed until that many Leylines showed up.

Maybe Sword of Light and Shadow? They worked together well when I was running Swords. Have you tried Goblin Assault if you're aiming to spam goblins for a super powered Rabblemaster?
I don't feel like it'd be impactful enough outside of giving it to them via Harmless Offering. It's not great when we're in topdeck mode because it puts us on a 3 turn clock to remove it from the field or stick a Gideon and hope he lives through our next upkeep, it has to compete with Nahiri, Butcher, Gideon Ally, Chandra Torch, Thunderbreak (for me), and Ajani Vengeant for the 4 mana slot, and if you do go the Harmless Offering route you have to find a way to make sure it isn't countered, maybe with Boseiju, Who Shelters All.

Butcher needs an entirely different deck around it, Thunderbreak Regent is an ok creature (nothing special) and I don't think that Ajani is very good outside of of a dedicated prison/mana denial deck and often is an overcosted Lightning Helix. Chandra and Gideon are some of the better PW's around and can work in most decks of their colors.
I'm going to keep testing my Dragon build, switching up the lineup and dragons to be tested. I've decided to cut Butcher and Emrakul entirely, still debating whether I want to keep in Nahiri or cut her for Trials Gideon. I recently got a 3rd Nahiri, thinking if I cut something to fit her in it'll probably be Crackling Doom.
Do you really think rite is better than dark petition?
You could play some number of graven cairns/fetid heaths to filter the black mana into a different color as well.
Even beseech the queen strikes me as better.
Because of nahiri, the cycling seems rather irrelevant.
Went 2-2 with Dragon Mardu tonight. I don't know if my deck is built bad or if I just had miserable luck because multiple games I got stuck on 1-2 lands or my opponents would get the nuts hand *cough*Tron*cough* and I just die. Thunderbreak is pulling his weight when he lands on the field, Kolaghan and Dragonmaster had their moments in games to secure victories too.
Won against Grixis Death's Shadow 2-0, BW Tokens 2-1
Lost against EdraziTron 0-2 and Taking Turns 0-2
Doesn't feel like I can do anything when they get natural turn 3 Tron and/or I get stuck on 1-2 lands and no other lands are coming up for 10 turns.

This is the list I ran at FNM. Right as FNM was starting I couldn't find my last Path To Exile so I threw in the first card I found to hit 60, hence the Funeral Charm. Canyon Slough has been disappointing me as of late, thinking about swapping them out for a Shambling Vents and a Needle Spires.
Not sure how active this forum is but I would like some opinions on my build :). I am trying to build a Mardu Nahiri / Superfriends type of deck, one that focuses on Planeswalkers of various sorts to win the game (cuz we all know that playing Wall shows Nahiri is your only win con) I have had some decent success online but i have only really faced one deck actually in the meta (Burn) which i won that game.. Anyways, here is my list below please let me know your thoughts.
I was also on this list with -1 Land, -1 Elspeth, Knight-Errant, +1 Liliana of the Veil, +1 Nahiri, the Harbinger +1 Painful Truths.
Gideon of the Trials is a house and needs no explanation, he blanks a creatures, draws aggro, forces over exertion into a Damnation and protects nahiri really well.
Liliana of the Veil Is also great but i agree with other posts i have seen that she alone in the 4 lil and 4 nahiri plan is not enough of a defense hence why i am playing more walkers now
Elspeth, Knight-Errant is a token producer for blockers and can turn those tokens or spirit tokens into Colonnades without Vig, Shambling vent into a 5/6 Lifelink and Gideon of the Trials into a 7/7 beat stick.. been impressed so far.
Ajani Vengeant probably the only walker that is not a "deal with me now" card but if he sticks around locking land, gaining 3 life and blowing up all lands is golden
Gideon Jura never leave home without him, he is amazing, beater, removal, aggro whore you got it all
Nahiri, the Harbinger The reason i built this deck to begin with.. I like the control aspect with the innevitable combo win with Emrakul.. i believe Mardu is her best shell.
Let me know what your thoughts are, I really want to optimize this, I have contemplated not playing the board wipes but i think in the current meta and with the curve of T1 discard T2 wall T3 Gideon T4 damnation they pretty required. Painful Truths is another card that may not be needed but refilling the hand is always nice.. could become a Bedlam Reveler maybe?
^^
It is pretty similar to a deck I mentioned some time ago, the main difference being Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and "Madcap Emperion" combo replacing Ajani, G.Jura, Elspeth and some other cards.

2 Crumble to Dust
2 Stony Silence
2 Ethersworn Canonist
2 Crackling Doom
1 Slaughter Games
1 Engineered Explosives
1 Wrath of God
1 Anger of the Gods
I love crackling but with the current meta Blessed does a lot more.
Also why the E.Canonist over Rule of Law/Eidolon of Rhetoric which are much better against Storm ?
Grunt can chump block, get blinked by resto and it's counters reseted.
I'm pretty high on Thunderbreak Regent lately, thinking of bumping up to 3-4 and testing out 2 Dragonmaster Outcast and 1 Dragonlord Kolaghan for more Dragons.
It is like a harder to remove PW (for 3 turns) with good abilities that needs some support like removal
(Nahiri or Anguished Unmaking as maindeckable options) or flickering (Flickerwisp/Glimmerpoint Stag/Felidar Guardian)
or Gideon's emblem to not die to it.
There is also the (not very reliable) combo with Harmless Offering to win the game.
Here is an interesting list utilizing it - https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/instant-deck-tech-mardu-pact-modern
Harmless Offering is just a backup win-con, with Nahiri, Flickerwisp and maybe some Gideon/Anguished Unmaking there should be enough ways to get rid of it when necessary or just reset it.
I think it is worth exploring.
Butcher needs an entirely different deck around it, Thunderbreak Regent is an ok creature (nothing special) and I don't think that Ajani is very good outside of of a dedicated prison/mana denial deck and often is an overcosted Lightning Helix.

2 Blackcleave Cliffs
1 Concealed Courtyard
1 Inspiring Vantage
1 land to be determined
4 Squadron Hawk
2 Mirran Crusader
4 Thunderbreak Regent
1 Stormbreath Dragon
1 Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury
2 Nahiri, the Harbinger
4 Inquisition of Kozilek
3 Lightning Bolt
3 Path to Exile
2 Fatal Push
1 Terminate
1 Dreadbore
1 Night's Whisper
