There are few men in this Parliament for whom I have greater respect than the leader of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation. I admire him in my heart, because time and again he has had the courage to say what lays on his conscience, regardless of what the world might think of him. A man of that calibre is an ornament to any Parliament.
I don't play decks. I solve optimization problems.

Mostly infect and affinity. Lingering Souls also although the Bridge usually does a better job of dealing with them by the time they become a problem.
My main issue with Night of Souls' Betrayal is that it costs 4, which means that in many games against those decks it'll come down too late. (Granted Bridge doesn't come online that quickly either.) Another reason I'd be more likely to use Night against Lingering Souls over Bridge is that Night can't be hit by Abrupt Decay.
Also, I think some sort of untargeted mill in the main is necessary, whether it's Mesmeric Orb, Manic Scribe, or both. (And both of those are powerful enough for the main deck even aside from that consideration.)

Mesmeric Orb it is then - I've never had success getting delirium for the scribe to be properly effective. I just don't like milling myself.
I don't, either, but the amount you're milling yourself is not particularly relevant next to how much you're milling your opponent, between Orbs and all your other mill. Plus it can dissuade attacks later on, or punish them if they have to (I raced Goblin Rabblemaster with Orb).
As for Scribe, I think it's easier to turn on when you have it and Orb--for instance, in my list, I've got 6 artifacts and 12 creatures to your 3 and 8 (plus 9 fetches and 2 Quarters to your 7 and 3). And anyway Orb helps you bring Scribe online because of the self-mill. (Plus post-board it helps hugely on Set Adrift, even allowing you to tap out on turn 3 if your opponent has any tapped permanents--think fetchland into Orb, milling two, into Set Adrift, delving three and tapping three.)
Scribe and Orb between them let me beat Enduring Ideal landing a game 1 Leyline of Sanctity.

Anybody running any copies of Remand these days? I was considering two. Tempo advantage, cantrip, synergy with Orb . . . There's a lot to like, but I'd be happy to hear your experiences, good or bad.
I've never been a fan of Remand. If I do not want a spell to be cast, why would I give it back to them to cast again later?
Every time I ask that, I'm told, 'Tempo!'. Dispel, Negate and Horribly Awry also give me tempo advantage. Or I hear 'Card advantage!' Serum Visions give me card advantage, as does Visions of Beyond.
I just can't see the advantages of this card. Now I suppose if you REALLY must have a counter spell, and putting it in is going to be at the expense of Serum Visions, it works. The only reason I can think of for using it, is that it is the only cmc 2 spell that absolutely counters the spell, (Mana Leak does just as well in many, but not all situations) but I am not sure if that is good enough. Delaying the inevitable, however, is pretty much how Mill tends to work, so maybe I'm just intolerant.
In other news, I got my playset of Goyf, so I'm now anxious to try out the UBg mill, with Hedron Crab Scapeshift as my wincon and Goyf as removal bait and/or alt wincon, with Dark Confidant for card draw. Need to find room for Amulet of Vigor, so I can do the backbreaking T4 Scapeshift slam that mills up to 30 with a lone Crab on table, then plays Glimpse or Funeral for a finisher if needed.

I tried Needle. Didn't go well. I'm going to cut them and try out going to 4 Extirpates and putting in 3 copies of Grafdigger's Cage.

Rox, I highly recommend keeping damnations, they shore up horrible matchups. Whereas yahenni's expertise only makes favorable matchup evens easier. I would cut snaps entirely, snapping sorceries feels awful and you run 8 removal spells already. I playtested them thoroughly and almost never found them useful. I would move bridge to the side. I personally don't like the card and only find it useful against eldrazi, but I can't argue the fact that it's powerful. But it's not a good mainboard card.
Just my 2 cents from the well known mill player everyone hates at my shop (:

Jesters isn't modern playable in my opinion. Mesmeric orb in the 3 drop slot is astronomically better.
Ashiok can be solid sideboard tech, im not personally a fan though.
Dimir charm as a one of isn't bad either

Wall stalls out 8whack, burn, g/b/x, bogles, elves, can be a life saver giving you the time you need to survive and finish milling them out, it's a damn good cantrip for the deck.
Lingering souls drops between 2 and 4 flying blockers which does the same thing, gives you time but can also be an alternate win con (i've won many games off of spirit beats alone). It's also a card to flashback when milled by your own orb.
I agree, scribe is bad and Jace's phantasm is meh, I actually ran it during the GPT but found it useless in almost every matchup (just removed them entirely from the 75). It actually killed a Karn for me once though which was amusing haha.
As long as you're leaving in damnations I don't think running one yahenni out of the sideboard would be bad at all, it's honestly a meta call.
Cheers

Visions of beyond in our deck is already ancestral recall it's absolutely busted. On turn three I recently drew 9 cards for 3 mana and they conceded on the spot. Zero reason to run visions jamming it in the deck hoping to get value off of foretold is a no go

I think you have that correct. We already have AV, no need to jump through hoops and lose card slots to get there. But if you want AV for other decks, the climb to $90 has begun. Buy now.
Not Modern, but Saffron Olive is doing a video series on Legacy Leylines for one of his articles. He posted an instant decktech for it on the 5th, and now he is filming videos of it in play. Likely to see a spike on Serra's Sanctum and other necessary cards when the article comes out.
Since the deck includes many many modern cards, including Leyline of the Void and Leyline of Sanctity, I'm mentioning it. If you need any cards from the deck, get them now before they see yet another spike. Leyline of the Void is our key card here where Mill is concerned.
This just happens to be my Legacy deck, so I am excited. Prooooobably need to pick up more Runed Halos before they spike again though.
At a guess, Lingering Souls.
