So I was reading and it looks like Mill lost Day 2 to Pila Pala combo first then Infect. Infect has to be one of the UB versions worst matches. I feel like you almost HAVE to play esper for path because there aren't really any more choices for 1 cast removal for the deck. Maybe Vapor Snag or the -2-2 black enchantment that I can't remember the name of.

Black has quite a few removal spells they can play such as Disfigure, Dead Weight, Smother, and lets not forget Dismember. Sometimes I'm not sure we need white at all. I do like Damnation or if in Esper Wrath of God/Supreme Verdict cause cheaper.
I'm not a big fan of the list TBH. I don't like 3 mind funerals MD, especially in a deck that plays ensnaring bridge. I do like the synergy between manic scribe and mesmeric orb, however.

Ah Dead Weight was the card I was looking for. I try to strictly use 1 cmc removal because Mill is trying to play its mill spells at the same time and the 2 cmc removal can make that quite a bit more difficult to do in the early turns.

the plus side is it does help fuel deliruim so that's something small in its favor. But I do like an esper version more since path is great removal that has the psuedo clause of essentally mill 1 (fetch a basic) and risk getting trapped for 13 more.

I agree with this. A downside of Dead Weight is that it won't stop Inkmoth Nexus if you don't have your GQ online.

Thats interesting.
The infinite combo can be hard but the deck ran zero removal so not surprising. The same with infect no removal means only way out is a bridge which will likely come out too late against infect.
Personally i run a playset of smother and 2x victim of night to be able to deal with scenarios like this.
I'm trying to shy away from esper colours since the cost to the landbase is massive to upgrade. With my current build i can surgical or extirpate a card I've killed with my kill spells with path i can't. Exiling all blighted agents will make infect wake up lol
What's everyone's thoughts on bringing in leyline of the void from SB and what to do with crypt incursion? Keep crypt incursion in incase you don't hit a void ? Take them out since they will be useless if you do ?
I am personally thinking of running 2x Leyline of the void and 2x relic of progenitus in SB so that when i need them i don't have to automatically take out the crypt incursions.
I would suggest going with a playset of relic of progenitus instead of splitting with voids. You're not guaranteed to get a leyline in your opening hand and relic can work with crypt incursions so it seems better to me.

Nihil Spellbomb is strictly better than Relic in mill imo
We are not interested in exiling cards one a turn
But we are interested in ability of exiling them without spending mana
And we want our graveyard to stay for Manic Scribe or Visions of Beyond
Agreed. I personally do not like relic in our deck for that reason alone. Also it doesn't play well with manic scribe if you play him.
I think MB nihil spellbomb is not a bad idea, you don't have to worry about emrakul, and versus any deck that doesn't care about GY, you just sack it for a card draw.

This I think depends on a few things. Crypt Incursion can provide quite the cushion when on our heels against aggro, and the consistent mill abilities through Crab, Scribe, and Orb allow you to defend yourself from Emrakul a lot more efficiently when you aren't tapping out to progress your game plan. I would say it depends on the meta you expect and the build you want to use. Crypt Incursion may be the more powerful card currently since it can stall against aggro. Neither are good against Infect and Crypt Incursion might make a bigger impact in the Jund match up, which I can say is not a very easy match for us to win with us making super goyfs for our opponent.

I'm not a fan of the Bridges or the plain UB, but I like the new general setup for the most part. I prefer splashing white for Path's, Ghostly Prison instead of Bridge and the sideboard options.
The list your linking is also a couple weeks old now. The format has changed a bit and Nahiri Emrakul is only gaining in popularity along with Dredge again. This is thinking on a scale of playing at a GP for example though. Your local meta may or may not have a need for GY hate.
I have seen very similar lists to this and run things very close to this.
Im not sure how ppl are getting around the fact visions of beyond turns off our bridges.
A couple of times I have had games on lock down and drawn into a visions only to fill my hand and turn off my bridge.
I may try and copy this deck list and run it next week. See if i have over looked something.
I don't like the interaction either. I think that playing Visions of Beyond and Jace's Phantasm is a bit counterintuitive with the Bridges. I've replaced them with Ghostly Prison and Path to Exile in my list and it has excellent synergy with Mesmeric Orb. Forcing my opponent to choose to try and attack with one creature or advance their board state can be a tough decision and it adds to the variety of card types for Delirium. When paired with Mesmeric specifically though it forces your opponent to tap permanents regardless if they want to have a chance to kill you before we mill them out.

Which is why I'm testing 4 Nihil Spellbomb and 2 Crypt Incursion MD. The problem with Nihil Spellbomb and Relic of Progenitus is that they are prone to artifact hate, while Leyline of the Void and Rest in Peace can be exiled by Nahiri. Crypt Incursion can be countered when you need it. UWr is becoming the hardest match up.
