I think there are better decks for the new Anafenza, particularly Aristocrats. Frankly the abzan Anafenza would be a better fit in hatebears if not for the B casting cost.

I don't see why you'd want to run the new Anafenza as it is just a meh body. In the cases where collected company is taxed by Thalia you're taxing your opponents spells as well, and I am totally ok with casting collected company's for 5. But in the matchups where Thalia is bad and you have both in hand you can just sequence your spells if you want to cast collected early. in my playtesting so far it's just been too good in a variety of matchups. Against control decks like Sultai Control it's given me the ability to play around board wipes and cryptics better. In the scape shift matchup post sideboard I was able to grab Gaddock Teeg and BFT. It's just such a strong top deck too giving our deck a better late game against rock like decks that thrive on the top deck game. I would have gotten a better variety of games in but after match 8 my playtesting partner started to get aggravated about how broken the card was so we took a break.
Just saw Collected Company and I decided to throw 4 copies into Hatebears and do some test hands just to see how it would do. This card is the real deal. Not only do we get card advantage in a green shell, but we also are able to choose the best 2 hatebears out of 6 cards and deploy them onto the battlefield. This card is insane for us, and the card affects the design of the deck as well. Now you can run less copies of certain silver bullet hatebears because you can more consistently get them. This also improves our sideboard plans, allowing us to get our backbreaking creatures much more easily in the appropriate matchups.
What cards did you decide to cut for the 4 Collected Company? Do you mind showing the list you used?

The changes I made from my previous list were taking out 2 Restoration Angels (placeholders anyways), 1 Liege, and 1 Sigarda. I also shifted to a more creatures based sideboard due to the collected company. Right now I'm testing this list as well as a more death and taxes oriented list. Both have their merits. Below is the hatebears list. The hyper-geometric probability calculator puts us at a 88.687% chance to hit 2 or more creatures with company, and a 98.529% chance to hit at least 1 creature with company.
Is that new Green hate card from the cycle of hate cards worth testing? It seems like a really good card as it protects from decay and kills Lilianas all day erry day.

I've been testing something similar and it's been insane as well, the value plus ramp is just incredible. How have you been liking ooze? I'd think about playing a couple brimaz over ooze. I also wasn't playing wilt leaf to increase the odds of hitting two creatures.
I don't like Collected Company in this deck (without testing it, obv), and I don't think that it should be a 4-of... It doesn't solve any problems this deck has, it doesn't interect well with Thalia and Ghost Quarter, and you don't want more than 1 in your starting hand.
I believe WoTC's new policy is to make sure that every color can enjoy the exciting gameplay mechanic of making undercosted dudes and then turning them sideways. Clearly the future of magic.

I would rather play Celestial purge since it exiles -- matters slightly for goyf but more importantly it can hit a Keranos.
If there is a lot of abrupt decay, it might be worth sideboard consideration but I think valorous stance is more versatile and usable in more matchups.

It can work as a bit of a 'gotcha' if you hit an Arbiter or mindcensor in response to search. Too bad hitting teeg/thalia/voice doesn't do anything in response to an opponent casting.

Ooze has been a strong card for me, as it gives us extra life-gain, a large threat against midrange strategies, and graveyard disruption against blue decks, combo, and dredge. However, moving it to the sideboard in place of other hatebears depending on your meta would be a good choice. Brimaz in my opinion is less hate and more just beatdown and so I could see replacing an appropriate beater for him, but imo I don't feel the need to as the deck's clock is already quite strong. The Liege is powerful enough imo, especially because of all the midrange strategies in the meta atm, that we're willing to run 2, especially since it pumps our team so much and allows us to have ridiculous clocks, especially after a well-timed Company.

I have to disagree here. I think it solves a card advantage and late game problem that Hatebears has. Once we're top-decking, especially in matchups against decks like junk, we often have ok draws, hoping to draw into our killer threat, be it a sigara, liege, thrun, baneslayer, or whatever top-end you are running. Outside of these cards though our top-decks are meh. Collected Company gives us a strong top-deck to catch up when we're falling behind and build a board presence quickly while also getting rid of land draws. More importantly it allows us to maintain more presence in the mid game, giving us more field control.
It also helps solve the problem of not drawing the right bears in certain matchups. By as early as turn 3 you're able to look at the top 6 cards and get the best hatebears not only for the matchup but for the situation as well. Such as in response to fetches. Other fun corner cases are against twin. They often tend to just "go for it" against us because of the low probability of us having an out. Well now if we have 5 mana we can company into qasali in response popping the twin. Giving us a higher likelihood of having an out. Not to mention the fact that it makes our sideboard plans extremely more powerful by giving us more consistent ways to fetch our backbreaking cards. The other thing is that you cannot be afraid to cast this card at sorcery speed or in your opponent's upkeep. If you feel that you want a thalia or gaddock teeg for your opponent's turn or an exalted trigger right now, you can activate this card on your turn. Just because it says instant doesn't mean that you have to cast in on your opponent's end step or in response to a fetch every time.
Now when it comes to the number of companies you are running it is very possible that 4 is not the correct number, however right now I'm playing with the maximum amount that the deck's mana-base can consistently allow in order to see the power-level and applicability of the card. I will drop it to lower numbers depending on how playtesting goes, but seeing as how the spots that the companies took were all cmc 4 or higher, I don't think it'll be for consistency's sake.
Collected Company might just draw me back into playing this deck more. Can't be counted on to grab any particular hate, but being able to shovel out a couple creatures at once on the opponent's EOT (we aren't holding up mana for counters anyways) is sick, or just to stop from topdecking lands late-game. Don't see it as a 4-of though, 2-3 max.

I don't see how this stops you from topdecking lands.
If I see six lands in a row after T4 I'll be glad to put them all on the bottom of my library.
You're just as likely to see 6 non-lands in a row... and you don't have an option to keep any on top of your library. The next card you draw is still random.
It technically does apply after you cast Collected Company. Best case scenario you get two creatures, but let's say you get 1 and 5 lands. Now you put 5 lands to the bottom, thus giving you a higher chance to draw other cards. Essentially Collected Company will either give you creatures now, or decrease your chance of drawing non-creature spells and lands in the future. The probabilities don't change until after you cast it.
How so? The modes seem pretty weak to me, and it doesn't hate the opponent in any way. I'd rather run Selesnya Charm over this command, and I don't even like the charm. We have enchantments covered through Qasali Pridemage, a single +1,+1 counter seems weak to me, the fight ability is okay, and I guess the prevention mode counters a Lightning Bolt or a Pyroclasm/Anger? I don't know, it just doesn't seem like the kind of card this deck wants.
