I also had some specific questions I was wondering about.
1. Do you guys think 2 Anticipate is too many? Would a Mana Leak, Spell Burst, Thought Knot Seer, or Solemn Simulacrum be better in that slot?
2. Would a Gemstone Caverns be a good substitute for a Ghost Quarter? Just doing the math, the singleton Gemstone is online a very small percentage of the time, and the extra GQ can really help against Tron or manlands (particularly Inkmoth Nexus). GQ is also good with Surgical Extraction post board to take out lands like Tron lands or Valakut. I get that games where Caverns is online are great because I have played with it before, but it seems like too small of a percentage to be very relevant.
3. Are there any key sideboard cards for the new meta that I am missing? I always used to run a Bottle Gnomes in the board, and I am unsure if it is good in this current meta or if the Gnomes are even relevant now compared to Filigree Familiar. Also, is Spreading Seas better against Tron and Valakut than the GQ Surgical Extraction plan?
4. Is running Solemn Simulacrum or Thought Knot Seer better than running a more spell heavy build? There is this constant debate about which is better, and I own both, but I am currently running neither. Would it be worth running 2 copies of one of those creatures? (Probably instead of Cyclonic Rift and 1 Anticipate)
Anyone playing in SCG Indy?
Seeing from the coverage meta looks very very aggressiv. Almost makes me want to play multiple angles and packt of negation.
take one of my splash lists down there, it performs better against creature aggressive metas. finishes with an emrakul, the promised end.

Splashing red into this deck is just disgusting!
Trust me, pyroclasm is what this deck is lacking in so many game 1 match ups.
kozilek's return does the same, plus getting off when you cast Newlamog or Newrakul makes it all the better!
Round 1 I play against a mono black 8 rack deck. He gets a discard spell off and drops a shrieking affliction in the early game, but I get turn 4 tron plus an oboro, play ugin, and then just tick him up and ult into a win. Game two goes pretty much the same, but a turn slower due to a turn two small pox. Match: 2-0, Overall: 1-0
Sideboard out: Gemstone caverns, spatial contortion x2
Sideboard in: ghost quarter, pithing needle, negate
Round 2 is against a UB mill deck. Game one was probably the most interesting game of the night for me. If I have a choice of mine and another tron piece, I always play the mine first, but for some reason I chose the tower this game. On his second turn he mills 6 cards from my library off his turn 1 hedron crab, a mine enters the graveyard, and he surgicals it out of my hand and the deck. We battle it out for a few turns after that, and I make sure to keep hitting land drops. He gets most of my win cons in the yard, but I manage to get my academy ruins on the board. I'm able to ghost quarter his shelldock isle just in time to not get archive trapped by it. He hits me with a bunch more mill and gets me to 0 cards in my library on his turn. Upkeep academy ruins to get platinum angel on top of my library, then I drop it and pass. The next turn I academy ruins the o stone, put a fate counter on the angel, then blow up the board to get past the ensnaring bridge, academy ruins a wurmcoil and play it, and I get him down to 4 life. He's dead on board, topdecks damnation and wins the game. Good game, mill guy. Good game. I sweep him handily the next two games through two turn 0 leyline of the void with wurmcoils and a torrential gearhulk. Match: 2-1, Overall: 2-0
Sideboard out: Gemstone caverns (game 3), solemn simulacrum, remand, and something else I don't remember
Sideboard in: Ghost quarter (game 3), pithing needle, negate, spatial contortion
Round 3 I get matched up against GB elves. I've never won against elves, but mostly because the elves player at my old lgs is crazy good at magic. Game 1, he goes first, plays some elves, plays some more elves, then kills me. Doesn't look good. Game 2 I get a chalice down on 1, bounce his turn 1 play, control the board until I get a wurmcoil, and ride it to victory. Game 3 my opening hand is tron plus an extra powerplant, gemstone caverns, a draw spell and a counter. I prioritize drawing over control and it pays off with a turn 4 ugin who wipes his board with a -2, then ticks up into an ult which gets me a platinum angel and a treasure mage which finds a wurmcoil. I play the wurmcoil and next turn bounce his blockers, swing with the team, and then +1 ugin for the win. Match: 2-1, Overall: 3-0
Sideboard out: Gemstone caverns (game 2), solemn simulacrum, repeal, remand, 3 other cards I don't remember.
Sideboard in: Ghost quarter (game 2), dismember x2, ratchet bomb, spatial contortion, silent arbiter, hibernation (spicy elves sideboard tech)
Round 4 is the last round. I get paired against my friend who I came to the tournament with. He's playing an eldrazi tron list that I've been helping him with. Game 1 goes poorly. He hits his land drops, plays some big dudes, and is the turn ahead of me he needs to win. Game 2 he destroys a couple lands with ghost quarter, but doesn't find his surgical from the board. I eventually get to tron while controlling the board, this unfortunately got me into trouble when he drew both his summoning traps from the sideboard and got a couple free reality smashers, but I'm able to take care of one, then get a wurmcoil, attach a batterskull, and play torrential gearhulk to bounce his blocker and swing for the win. Game 3 I keep a subpar hand with two tron pieces and I hope to draw into blue. I don't. I get tron assembled, find a couple more towers to add to it, and then lose due to never finding a finisher. Match: 1-2, Overall 3-1
Sideboard out: gemstone caverns, chalice of the void x2, solemn simulacrum, ugin
Sideboard in: ghost quarter, dismember x2, jester's cap, wurmcoil engine
Overall I think I did pretty well tonight. I made a couple of misplays that are still bothering me, but that's u tron for you. I just started testing torrential gearhulk out last friday over the sundering titan, and so far he has impressed me. I think he'll stick around in the titan's place for a while. Still want a couple cards for the list, namely snapcaster mage and chalice once I get enough in store credit from tournaments to get them, and I'd like to try out a fabricate in the list over on of the Treasure Mages. Seems like it could be useful, fetching me o stone, batterskull, a map, a clutch chalice of the void, or the silent arbiter or jester's cap out of the board.
I don't feel planar bridge is that great. It costs 14 mana to get the first activation (as opposed to slaver's 10) and in most matchups I think that will just be too slow. I'd rather cast an ugin that can wipe the board that turn, or use a mindslaver. The mirror is usually pretty weird, and I would definitely not base my list around that unless there was a lot of U Tron in my local meta.
12'hour stream. Depending if my gaming chair comes in this week I can try this Friday . I gotta work at least a half day Friday so it won't start til 1 pm eastern. Otherwise the 10th is the date
In reading your FAQ in your sig I was wondering if anyone else has tried using a Slot for Kozilek the Great Distortion? Butcher is a 'great card' but isn't the distortion actually a more suitable card for the deck? One can net up to 3 more cards with the cast trigger and he is able to be played at ten mana and enable us to leave protection up. Yes he's a 'win button' that we can't tutor (that old chestnut) but he's also the cheapest with a cast trigger and built in protection (in the form of 0 mana counterspells).
This is what I've come up with so far, I've got 2 Ugin's and want to use them (in case one gets hit I've got a back up).
I've seen Snapcaster Mage run in some lists and not sure if I should use him.
For lands, I want a Ghost Quarter in the main as answer to some threats also I think [card]
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth[/card] could some in handy to cast Dismember and Surgical Extraction (which I will play as a 3 and 4 of in my side board).
I'm still not sure on my side board and need to do some reading.

You best bring blue tron derfiend. This Friday I am going to try and grind 12 hours of magic online. If we can avoid all outside distractions and withhold from guzzling down shots of captain Morgan the first 6 hours will be a breeze. The latter half is where I see the wheels potentially falling off. However I will lock myself in my gaming compound and will adhere by my rules of not losing attention. Lots and lots of matches will be played. If you guys want me to play a certain list post it in here and I'll try to get the cards. I plan on playing at least 10 leagues at a rapid pace .
Anyone tried planar bridge? I get that its kinda winmore but I opened it at prerelease and wanna know if its worth running
some swear by it, others think its a win-more card because for that amount of mana investment, you can just go for the slaver lock..personally, i don't run it..

UR Wizard Tribal with Grapeshot Combo
The last tournament I ve faced a mirror match ( I never expected that ) and I badly lost 'cause of planar bridge
This card is insane and once it resolves you have (if you are lucky) one turn of life.
Many time I was in a situation of an enormous amount of mana but with no threats on the field/hand
This card totally fixes the issue and makes a very huge pressure on your opponent. Now I m testing a build playing it and Emrakul, the Aeons torn over mindslaver and emrakul, the promised end

What about Hero's downfall for removal instead of Spatial Contortion? It's only 1 more black but no toughness limit and can target planeswalkers.
