Noticeable or not, there is a difference. I definitely think the right number is 24 or 25. But if you were to argue that +-1 land doesn't make a difference then we could go on and say
24 is not different from 25
25 is not different from 26
26 is not different from 27
...
so 24 is not different from 27?! Ofc it is.
Hahah... they've got funny faces when Shok played Ugin
But yes, they played very poor (for sure the pilot wasn't merfolk master aka "wizard from the coast")
Man Troopa is like the Yasooka of Mono-U Tron; really goes to show you that a deep understanding of the internal workings of your deck is a far better way to win games than to just net-deck the first winning list you see.
That said, the surprise factor is and always has been on Mono-U Tron's side, as many players simply aren't familiar enough with the deck to properly navigate the match, sometimes not even realizing what our win conditions are (expecting something like RG Tron's Emrakul or Karn).
im on sun and moon currently. i rather play u/w tron its faster and better against current meta. or are you just asking to flame me
Cuz sun and MOoon has won things and has alot of top 8 finishes? Trolls are trolls...this guy got beat by U tron so is now salty...nothing else to see here folks....
been trying padeem out... he's pretty good! ... list kinda needs to be built to work with him, i.e. talismans, chalices. but as a 1 of, im at least gonna keep experimenting. better than filigree familiar for sure.
anyone else been losing to grixis control? ... they seem to just have more counters than us now a days (snare, cryptic, leak, remand, countersquall, and with ancestral vision, they can keep up with value. ... plus post board most people are on the surgical plan.
seeing a lot of success with this list. i variation of shoktroopa's, but with more chalice and less ezplosives. seems to be doing fine. my meta is kind of slow right now which is easy pick ins with this deck.

that dude kept saying that the deck wasnt good enough to compete in this meta. he tested mono blue tron and lost with it.... btw sun and moon does have a lot of top 8 finishes and has "won things" xD. I am both a blue tron player and an amulet player and I know where blue tron stands as a "developing competitive"
game1: 2-0
played against a friend's jeskai Spell Queller/Geist of Saint Traft, no real actual problem, as he relies solely on Geist or grinding out the opponent, no actual late-hit-the-board-i-win-the-game win-condition.
game2: 2-0
jund, the full package, or close to it, game 1 i cast Epiphany at the Drownyard first time X=2, then snapcastered it for X=8, second time i needed only a land to cast Ugin (without tron, as i managed to land a Chalice on 1 early).
i wiped away his 3 goyfs, then ground down his life with snapcaster, to finish off with gearhulk.
funny thing is we were not paying attention, and i played epiphany as a Fact or Fiction... but it didn't matter, as i only saw 3 lands with the first one and inly needed a single land with the second.
game 2 he played t1 Nihil Spellbomb, Abrupt Decayed my map then landed an ooze, he was stuck on a few lands early game, game was close, but ultimately managed to win
game3: 0-2
eldrazi tron
he plays some kind of weird aggro package, sometimes with both Karns and Ugin, along aggro creatures.
always manages to draw into (sometimes without the help of maps) into tron (he plays correctly btw, he's just that lucky)
sometimes i saw Eldrazi Temple from him too.
of the creatures he playes almost 4-of mimic, TKS and smasher.
the most i ever did against him was a 1-2, never actually managed to beat him with blue tron EXCEPT when i bring taking turns, he basically has no chance, as once i wrecked him, when he cast a turn 5 Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
but the problem with this is, that that deck looses against most of the other decks in out local playgroup, that tron easily beats most of the time 2-1
right now i'n thinking about splashing red just for Crumble to Dust, since he has no real backup plan after that, other than to slowly build up mana normally.

I play eldrazi tron. its not a good matchup, as it is similar to rg tron but with more aggro elements. keep hands with early tron and threats, dealing with wurmcoil i suspect is a nightmare for eldrazi tron.
tldr you cannot durdle around much because eldrazi tron has big threats early, some disruption and late game uncounterables.
Ive been watching your old youtube videos, and im very impressed. I learned that I've been playing the whole deck incorrectly the entire time, and that I've been playing it as if it were GR tron by trying to rush out something big. I didn't like anticipate or snapcaster on paper, but after watching a few games, they're absolutely amazing lol

TL;DR: how do you beat eldrazi tron
If he's not running chalice of the void ceremonious rejection could work
UBR Grixis Death's shadow
thing is, that just delays the inevitable...
and does not deal with the on-cast triggers of the titans
What about bribery? You don't get cast trigger but you get great big titans.

One time I lost through a mindlsaver lock because he had 2 racks out, and I couldn't get my hand size up/find a threat.
