I have been testing this deck, how do i deal with the decks that run surgical extraction? I beat jund and mardu G1, but g2-3 they just go for LD and extraction. How do i play around that?

Hi, I am new to this post, I have read the primer and a couple dozens of discussion pages (444 are just too much to read)
I am a control player, my main decks are UB faeries and a Wub Solar Flare, now I am making my version of U-Tron and I have a couple of question for those experimented players.
It is too crazy to MD one vedalken shackles My version runs only 9 Islands

Are talismans really neccesary?
Talisman is a good addition because it gives you more early game playability to your control spells. Blue Tron doesn't try to assemble Tron as fast as Red/Green does. I run a single one, but I've been considering running a couple.
Vedalken Shackles is nifty but I feel it's overall too varied to be truly consistent enough to be worth playing.
Fortune's Favour doesnt really do anything this deck wants to do. It would replace a Gifts Ungiven (in a list that runs it) or an Epiphany at the drownyard. If you're running either of those cards, you dont want to replace them. Epiphany does a HUGE amount of work, by the way.
The card is kinda nifty, but I think its gonna be a Limited-only kinda card.
Gul_Dukat yeah, I didnt think Blighted Cataract would've been an all-star or something, but it was definitely an interesting idea.

I got my eye on Docent of Perfection. I like how it can go wide as your control the game. producing blockers allowing you to get in with a 5/4 flyer. the flip feels kind of irrelevant.

has the same problem as the previously mentioned new 7-mana enchantment:
-double blue cost
-most likely you have to tap out
-same toughness as Thing in the Ice, while more expensive, no board-wipe effect, while easier to flip than thing, the flip effect is not THAT helpful, and still Thing didn't warp all tron decks around itself
-no immediate impact on the board
-since we mostly run at most 2-of Treasure Mage and at most 1 of Trinket Mage, you would need to cast 3 instant/sorcery to flip it
-if you have double blue and still don't have tron, your main goal is either to keep up counterspell or search for tron as soon as possible. for 5 mana, i'd rather be casting Epiphany at the Drownyard or flashback a Thirst for Knowledge with snalcaster
yes, it evades bolt, but from my experience, if you are playing tron, and you manage to tap out early game, by dropping your big threat to a board, where the opponent has board advantage already, you can be absolutely sure, that the opponent has path in hand or will topdeck into it...
that mainboard looks really clean and nice ralsek, whats your sideboard though?

personally I prefer the ol batterskull the the new 5/4
also to beat the ol surgical your tron land or a crumble you can just try to hit all your land drops. hitting 6-8 lands isn't that difficult, you usually only need to hit tron if they resolve a liliana or get a very fast clock

So I was wondering for your collective opinion of "Imprisoned in the Moon".
For those of you who haven't seen the spoiler yet it's:
2U Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature, land or planeswalker
Enchanted permanent is a colorless land with "tap, add <> to your mana pool" and loses all other card types and abilities
I understand it's a bit slow, but it does give blue a permanent (non-counter) solution to planeswalkers and problems lands while still being removal. Plus if you were willing to put in a 1 of Vesuva you could also copy said planeswalkers.
Honestly, unless you think the 1 colourless mana is going to be really relevant in the matchup (slight nonbo with condescend) this is often going to function like a blue vindicate. The ore I think about it the more I like this card
I actually really like imprisoned in the moon. It can work as a spreading seas for 1 extra mana and no cantrip, but mainly I'm interested in the planes Walker part. This deck has trouble with good walkers, and if u can't counter something like Karn or Liliana it can be hard to find answers. I think it deserves at least sideboard, maybe mb slot.

You don't even need to relic all gys you can just target yourself and exile the card they targeted.

I feel like this card is relevant to this archetype.
Sure the opponent can play mind games on you, but ultimately what goes in the graveyard wouldn't matter.
What do you guys think? I think it being an instant is a boon to the card.
