Uhm... So after shoktroopa, you too pier, think the "talisman" version are better then the "more lands" one?
No. As I said the three recent changes were made by my co-streamer Farfy-chan. I do neither approve nor disapprove of these changes. I think all three changes are reasonable to make.
It is broken. I'd like to watch this. Pierakro streams high quality content and is a pleasure to watch, and I've watched all the youtube videos already.
We had to delete the VOD, sry. Best to catch us live The matches will be on our youtube though.
Looks like this screenshot has hidden cards. Only counting 26 of the 36 in mainboard. 10 cards missing but I'm pretty sure we could figure it out from standard lists. Is he running Chalice of any number?

Such a classic list for Shockktroopa.. it's hard to understand the need to stick to it. I am assuming enabling thirst for knowledge is very important to him. Control deck first tron deck second.
I am just too scared of aggressive decks to run something like that, I really need the contortions and life gain and large early blockers. I might consider returning to using treasure mage.
After the likely Eye ban, I think TKS is still worth playing, but probably not Ulamog. My main reason for wanting to cut Ulamog is the inability to tutor him, but I suppose we have the same issue with Ugin but some still run him.

If you land Ugin against a creature-based deck it's almost game over for them, just for that potency I think it's worth running him, at the very least in the sideboard.
I can see why you'd want to cut Ulamog, does that mean we'll be cutting Newzilek as well? He's pretty much the same CMC and he's untutorable, althought draw to 7 is great.
Also, other than the T.I.T.I monster, are there any SOI cards than we need to concern ourselves with?

Are you really concerned about T.I.T.I doing work against us? If they don't change the CMC Rule on fliped cards they drop a useless wall on T2, which doesnt draw a card and has no impact on the board, they maybe can path it to ramp. Then they have to go though the hassel flipping it and end up with a token which at worst case we can bouce for 3 mana best case for 1 blue and draw a card.
I'm pretty sure they already changed the rule, so it will be 3 mana. But yeah it doesn't seem too threatening. It's not like it even bounces much because it would only come up in a control vs. control matchup. For us, I think it could be a thing (lol). It does provide a nice early blocker.
I went 3-1 with my list yesterday and lost to burn as expected until i can get my chalices.
r1 2-0 uw control
r2 0-2 burn
r3 2-1 kiki chord (mind slavered him game 3 casted his kiki and pathed it
r4 2-1 eldrazitron
aetherize will be coming out as i was not happy with them. Staff of nin does real work against control decks. You can just bury them with card advantage. I like the 1 fabricate/1 treasure mage split because you can always snapcaster the fabricate back.
yeah, i've never been too happy with aetherize... its great vs tokens. but otherwise, meh. needs to not be "attacking" creatures, so it can be eot.
sb note. i took out hurkyls recall to test recently cause its so narrow of a card. played 2 affinity since. went 2-1, 1-2. all close matches. but they're always close anyways even w/ hurkyl. so im goign to keep trying without...
same with squelch. i may try without that as well. while it is great , and feels great to use. it sometimes feels like a "win more" card. instead of helping with bad matchups. thoughts?
good uses in bad matches:
-burn land destruction
-GQ vs death and taxes
-ex. map vs tron
pithing needle can stop fulminators, planeswalkers, aether vial, and ghost quarters for less mana. can be pitched to thirst...?

or just 2 slots for more goodies/versatility.
i like the pithing needle idea because it can also shut down man lands
shoktroopa mulled it mainly because "Gemstone caverns is a dead card so it's basically a mull to 6 already" and I just can't agree
That is true. But it has blue, tron land, and interaction with spellbomb.
Although Not only is gemstone dead. But spell burst and snap caster are wasted in early game.
