I'd love to take this deck to a GP! That'd be so much fun. Someday maybe... hopefully...
I'd also love to add a 3rd Apparition but the CMC3 slot is so contested in this deck. Ranger-Captains and Mirran Crusaders are at least as good as Apparition. There isn't even enough space for Lurrus even though it would be great in this deck as well.
I've put together a video of a few games out of nine matches I won recently.
You can watch it here, it expires in 30 days.
When I find the time I'll try to make a proper video with comment, music, effects and create a YouTube account, but atm I don't have the time.
Yes those were some good games and it's nice to see you grow as a competitive player. I did not see a single misplay on your end at all. Very well done. Your deck didn't seem to let you down either. Lands were right on time or the vial was there to bail you out. Really good games. Thank you for taking the time to upload them. I don't have an example right now, but I wonder if some of the niche cards may be better as SB cards. And strengthen the main with Lurras and Apparition?
Since the new set came out I tried out a few new cards.
I wanted to like Halvar, God of Battle and Starnheim Unleashed but Halvar is just a win more card and Starnheim is way too slow.
Since so many players are brewing with Trickery I changed my deck accordingly.
Since Sunday I am running 2x Ethersworn Canonist main. And since the meta is red and black heavy I also added 2x Auriok Champion main.
And it's working pretty well
I stumbled over this interesting 5-0 White Weenie list the other day.
The deck can cast Emrakul only with Windbrisk Heights but I liked the idea so I built a Windbrisk version:
It's only loosely based on my other deck. 3 Vials became 3 Windbrisk Heights. All a bit more midrange-y.
I chose top end cards that I can also cast normally. Shepherd is a pretty cool card to cast after combat.
The whole top end with Hero of Bladehold, Shepherd and Elesh Norn is really brutal.
So far I've played 6 matches with the deck and won all six. It's fun.
I might also try to convert my usual deck into a Windbrisk version.
Here's game 3 of a match I just played with my new build.
I love Elesh Norn! 10-2 now with this version. It's closer to my Vials deck than the version above.
Seems like you are the mono white aggro master my good sir. Well done on those games. Yeah that game 3 looked pretty good. Which version are you liking better?
I think it doesn't really matter if you run the version with 3 Vials and 2 Mirran Crusaders main or the version with 3 Windbrisk Heights and Shepherd/Elesh Norn top end. Both Vial and Heights can make your game more explosive and are good against counter spells.
Heights might be slightly better since it's card advantage, it's not a dead draw compared to a late second Vial and it makes the deck $100 cheaper.
The win percentage stays at about 75% so either version seems absolutely fine
The heights version seem like it can easily be messed over though. A Ghost Quarter or Field of Ruin can mess up plans or just having enough removal to keep you down to 2 or less guys. Personally, and I haven't played it, but feel like your original take was better.
I am totally convinced of the new version now. 5-0 again in yesterday's and today's matches (against Jund, Rakdos Death's Shadow, Fish, GW Midrange, Bogles). And winning with this deck is so much fun. Drowning your opponent in card advantage feels great. With this deck you're playing nine additional cards (3x Ranger-Captain, 3x Stoneforge Mystic, 3x Windbrisk Heights) and a Sun Titan for even more card advantage. I added the Titan as top-end next to Elesh Norn and the two Broodmoths. Broodmoths + Givers are a nightmare for every opponent. Batterskull keeps me alive long enough to play the top-end cards and win.
Btw, during my 35ish matches with the Heights version my Windbrisk Heights didn't get destroyed even once by Ghost Quarter or Field of Ruin. I encountered two Blood Moons and the GW Midrange opponent used Mwonvuli Acid-Moss but all in all I got to activate them pretty reliably.
Here's a list of what I've played against with this new version (see attached pic):

Yes indeed my guy. Those results can't be denied. I'm thinking by April I should be streaming. And your deck is going to be one of the first ones I play. I know I'm not a master of the deck like you are. But I'll do my best. 😀
That sounds awesome, megatog201! Really looking forward to watch your stream. Will it be on Twitch only or are you planning to upload on Youtube as well?
Btw, I added the new version on Tappedout as well. I am always updating the score there after a few games. Including today's win against Temur Midrange my win rate is 78% in exactly 50 matches. I hope the deck will work as well in your hands as it does in mine.
Edit: Updated the link after updating the results on there.
For some reason I thought we were still in Feb. I'm giving myself the end of 2 months down the road. So by the end of May I'll be streaming. Not sure if just streaming on Twitch or will be doing that and YouTube. All depends on the computer. But I'm excited to see how the deck performs. You are clearly the white creature master.
I changed two cards in the deck: Thalia, Heretic Cathar was the one flex card in the deck and I went back to Silverblade Paladin for more explosiveness. I also cut Oketra's Monument. It's really good when you cast it early but it's terrible late game (even though it helps casting Elesh Norn). Instead I went back to an old favorite: Angelic Destiny - also a very nice thing to hide under Windbrisk Heights.
A few minutes ago I played an awesome match against a mono black Yawgmoth Toolbox deck and in game three Angelic Destiny was the winning top deck that led my Humans to victory against the forces of evil
53-16 now with the deck.
After the matches I posted above I played against a lot of different other decks as well in tournament practice:
1-2 vs Gruul Utopia
2-1 vs GB Elves
2-0 vs RB Burn
0-2 vs Naya Zoo
1-2 vs Squirrel Stoneblade
2-1 vs UW Control
2-0 vs Abzan Stoneblade
2-1 vs Winota
2-0 vs BR Zombies
2-0 vs Jund
2-0 vs G Tron
2-1 vs Temur Midrange
0-2 vs 5c Niv
2-1 vs Yawgmoth Toolbox
2-1 vs Gruul Utopia
1-2 vs UB Mill
2-0 vs Boros Damage Control
2-0 vs RW Tokens
2-0 vs Dredge
0-2 vs Landless Belcher
1-2 vs Amulet Titan
2-0 vs 5c Humans
2-0 vs Naban Wizards
2-0 vs Death and Taxes
2-1 vs Mono Black Pox
0-2 vs 5c Niv
2-0 vs 5c Humans
2-0 vs Dredge
2-0 vs Goblins
2-1 vs Mardu Stoneblade
2-1 vs Amulet Titan
Against Amulet and Belcher I got mana scr*wed even though I am running 24 lands which was pretty annoying.
During the two losses against 5c Niv I felt like I have no chance at all. This must be one of the worst match-ups for this deck.
I am now back to 2x Mirran Crusader main just like in the last Vial version (only since the last two matches).
Played a few more matches:
2-1 vs Dredge
1-2 vs Dimir Inverter
2-0 vs Hammertime
2-0 vs G Tron
2-1 vs Mono Red Obosh Aggro
2-1 vs Amulet Titan
2-1 vs Sultai Vengevine
2-1 vs Death and Taxes
2-0 vs UR Gifts Storm
2-0 vs Mono Red Prowess
0-2 vs Hammertime
2-0 vs Fish
2-0 vs Mono Green Stompy
2-0 vs Affinity
65-18 now with the deck! (14-2 since I switched back to 2x Mirran Crusader main)
After more than 80 matches with this version (without Aether Vials) I am still having a blast, even though I am not playing any other decks.
I wish I could play this at a GP or at least at an FNM.
I'd also love to add a 3rd Apparition but the CMC3 slot is so contested in this deck. Ranger-Captains and Mirran Crusaders are at least as good as Apparition. There isn't even enough space for Lurrus even though it would be great in this deck as well.
