Doomwake Giant for creature removal - once all the lands are enchantments this should hopefully act almost as a one sided board wipe
Herald of the Pantheon, while not a real constellation trigger, should still help with some life gain
The sideboard has a couple copies of Rancor in case some evasiveness is needed. Also a couple Primeval Light to completely wipe the opponent's board once Enchanted Evening has resolved.
Not sure if this could actually keep up at all in modern, but seems potentially pretty fun to pilot. Mostly just shooting for something that could win a few rounds at fnm. The main things I'm looking for help with are:
Have you thought about using Mesa Enchantress? It's a cheper eidolan of blossoms and the more draw synergies you have, the more you can consistently plow through your deck by casting lots of enchantments.
I started with Mesa Enchantress, but switched Eidolon because it triggers on lands as well once Enchanted Evening is out, and it also replaces itself when it's cast. But in play testing Eidolon does feel a bit too expensive. Perhaps 2 Mesa Enchantress and 1 Eidolon of Blossoms is the right split? Or do you think there's something else that another draw engine could replace?
I feel you're missing a way to really abuse Enchanted Evening. Frankly the card is not worth paying 5 for unless you are getting a lot of value out of it as a prison deck. Lands cantripping in the late game if your eidolons aren't removed is nice, but why not include some sort of more motivating reason to play the clunky 5 drop? Every other card in your deck for the most part is already an enchantment and receives no benefit, and you aren't using it to dissuade your opponent from doing anything by packing enchantment hate. As it stands, your namesake could be removed with minimal, arguably positive impact on success.
Hmm, yeah, real good point! Especially since my goal is to make an Enchanted Evening deck. I think I got a bit too focused on ramping up to and protecting Enchanted Evening.. I was largely counting on the constellation triggers, and I originally had a couple more Grim Guardians with the idea of draining the opponent as the main wincon, but I think that's just way too slow.
I've also been thinking about a bant version, with Copy Enchantment being able to double down on prison pieces as well as copy any helpful permanents the opponent controls, and I could also include Echoing Calm and Primeval Light in the main deck to really take advantage of Enchanted Evening. I also love the idea of Ajani's Chosen for infinite cats. Something along these lines:
Perhaps something like Idyllic Tutor may be at home here? Its a staple in more traditional white pillow fort strategies. You could play Enchanted Evening as a 1 in this case, if you intend to go the prison route you aren't strapped for time to cast it. That would enable you to use it without diluting the probably more conventionally effective pillow fort strategy. The biggest issue with Enchanted Evening, and what you'll have to overcome to make this work, is that I feel its an inherently winmore card in nature for this shell. You never want to see it in your opener, as its a dead draw until deep into the game, and even when cast, its not an effect than ends the game on the spot or helps you further stabilize. In a lot of ways its a direct nonbo with typical enchantment prison cards in general. Another direction you could take is a creatureless prison with Porphyry Nodes over "heavy duty" 3 drops like Ghostly Prison, just to put it out there. Runed Halo is also another card typically heralded as solid in these decks.
Some advice; Its a hard road to make the Evening work here, but im certainly no stranger to pet cards, dont give up if its really something you find interesting.
Yeah, ideally I'd have a playset of Idyllic Tutor, but it sure is pricey. I suppose it would cut down on a lot of the need for digging through the deck, so could potentially replace a lot of the cards in there. I like the creatureless prison approach in general, though not sure what the wincon would be in this case.
Yeah, I can see Enchanted Evening still being more of a win-more card here. And maybe the prison shell is just the wrong way to go! I'll play around with some other ideas as well. I think the synergies I'm interested in making work are:
I think an Idyllic Tutor package with Enchanted Evening and Ajani's Chosen has some sort of promise as a janky closer, but the cat's ability is not a may. You can use the combo to end the game on the spot, but will need something to abuse the ETB triggers, a-la Impact Tremors, but in whatever colors you choose.
All of these should be effective in non-creature builds as well. Special shout out to Heliod for preserving your Porphyry Nodes indefinitely even if he's the only creature in play. Note that if you decide on a Nodes build, some creatures are high value enough that they should be played, such as some number of Eidolon of Blossoms or a similar effect.
So...depending on how far the jank train you want to go, Primeval Light from Guildpact is AFAIK the only way to destroy all enchantments another player controls, making it a one-sided total boardwipe with Enchanted Evening in play.
Back to thinking about this deck! Yeah, I definitely want to have Primeval Light in there. And I've come around to thinking that Idyllic Tutor is a must.
I love the idea of something like Impact Tremors. It got me thinking about going more in the constellation direction, with Grim Guardian for a similar effect (of course that's slightly weaker because it relies on Enchanted Evening having been successfully cast). I just came up with the list:
Ok, once more back to tweaking this idea! I don't think adding black really did what I wanted -here's a quick naya list which includes Impact Tremors, as well as Purphoros, God of the Forge for some indestructible redundancy of the effect:
I'm not sure if there's enough pillow fort pieces here to stay alive long enough to get a wincon out. Which is also a concern as far as turning on Luminarch Ascension.
Not sure at all about the Lightning Bolt in the sideboard, but red always makes me think I need it...

Yeah, I can see Enchanted Evening still being more of a win-more card here. And maybe the prison shell is just the wrong way to go! I'll play around with some other ideas as well. I think the synergies I'm interested in making work are:
More generic wincons for enchantment prison decks might include:
Heliod, God of the Sun
Luminarch Ascension
Sigil of the Empty Throne
Enduring Ideal
Dovescape
Starfield of Nyx

All of these should be effective in non-creature builds as well. Special shout out to Heliod for preserving your Porphyry Nodes indefinitely even if he's the only creature in play. Edit: The only MODERN legal way, I should say.

It's very much a quick first pass, but seems like it could potentially have more wincons/lines to take:
2x Enchanted Evening
3x Ghostly Prison
1x Greater Auramancy
2x Impact Tremors
4x Leyline of Sanctity
1x Luminarch Ascension
2x Oblivion Ring
2x Runed Halo
1x Sacred Mesa
1x Sphere of Safety
Creature
2x Ajani's Chosen
3x Courser of Kruphix
1x Heliod, God of the Sun
4x Herald of the Pantheon
3x Mesa Enchantress
2x Nyx-Fleece Ram
1x Purphoros, God of the Forge
2x Clifftop Retreat
1x Field of Ruin
3x Forest
2x Inspiring Vantage
2x Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
4x Plains
2x Sacred Foundry
2x Sunpetal Grove
2x Temple Garden
2x Windswept Heath
Sorcery
2x Idyllic Tutor
1x Primeval Light
1x Ghostly Prison
1x Greater Auramancy
2x Lightning Bolt
1x Nevermore
2x Oblivion Ring
1x Primeval Light
2x Rest in Peace
2x Stony Silence
1x Suppression Field
2x Yavimaya Enchantress
The idea here is that if I'm not able to assemble the clunky Enchanted Evening + Ajani's Chosen combo, there's still Sacred Mesa, Luminarch Ascension, and Heliod, God of the Sun to trigger the direct damage from Impact Tremors and Purphoros, God of the Forge (though maybe a third Impact Tremors would make more sense since Purphoros will never turn on). I also threw a couple Yavimaya Enchantress in the sideboard for an alternate smashy wincon.
I'm not sure if there's enough pillow fort pieces here to stay alive long enough to get a wincon out. Which is also a concern as far as turning on Luminarch Ascension.
Not sure at all about the Lightning Bolt in the sideboard, but red always makes me think I need it...
