Anyone have any insight on a root maze control deck?
Stuff like choke, spreading seas, abundant growth, the enchantress that draws off enchantments, curio... With an eternal command lock?
Painlands can get past it, so use them.
You could even bounce the root maze with curio with seas or growth netting u a card draw from "the tax".
Could even include stuff like sleep or exhaustion.

MGC plays a lot like Ponza but many of us have decided to stay mono-green for a number of reasons including playstyle, budget, consistency, and/or simply just to pay homage to the original decklist.
exhaustion is one of my favorite mana denial spells printed. Mono U turns can play resource denial until you set up your big turn and just combo out. Not sure that's exactly what you're looking for though.
If you’re running Curio and a load of enchantments, Reality Acid is the business. I’m unable to play currently, but in sept it’ll be on my list of things to test. I’d probably only play Root Maze in the side, but am willing to try it main if it seems choke + turn your stuff to islands + destroy lands with acid isn’t constrictive enough.
Imagine they're about to untap 3 lands on turn 4, and Bam early frost which means that they can counter or it, or be tapped out. Leading to your turn 5 with hopefully 4 lands untapping... Into a exhaustion. How frustrating! And you still have a mana to lay out a sea's claim... And am impending choke... With two Mana open... And then primal command!?!? You've been tapped out since 2 lands!?
Sprinkle Boomerang to taste and you have quite the deck lol. There's a close reprint (sorcery arcane spell) from kamigawa I can't remember, eye to nowhere or something like that.
I've been toying with a deck that uses Urborg, choke, and a change the landtype spell in my head for quite some time. Use mana rocks to make mana knowing lands only tap one time then stay tapped forever. Rootmaze makes every land useless in this build.
Issue comes down to consistency. Would be cool to see it perfected.
