This does the combo better than Skill Borrower. Something like this would be super fun:


Two card combo that is on tempo: T2 Conspicuous Snoop T3 Boggart Harbinger. GG

Or even if you remove green completely for a Grixis combo deck:


This deck has a LOT of synergies:
1. T2 Conspicuous Snoop + T3 Boggart Harbinger = T3 Combo Kill
2. T1 Skirk Prospector + T2 Conspicuous Snoop + T3 Scheming Symmetry + 1B Mana = T3 Combo Kill
3. T2 Conspicuous Snoop + T3 Scheming Symmetry + Scheming Symmetry = T3 Combo Kill
4. T2 Conspicuous Snoop + T3 Scheming Symmetry + Mogg Fanatic + Mortuary Mire = T3 Combo Kill
5. T2 Conspicuous Snoop + T3 Scheming Symmetry + Viscera Seer = T3 Combo Kill
6. T2 Conspicuous Snoop + T3 Scheming Symmetry + Corridor Monitor = T3 Combo Kill

It runs 4x Postmortem Lunge + 4x Mortuary Mire to rebuild after opponents interaction.
It also has cheap converted mana costs.

Been a while since I updated this idea.
I've been away from Magic for a while and just getting to know new cards.

Here is an updated list incorporating new cards like Prime Speaker Vannifar, Saheeli Rai, Felidar Guardian & Neoform.


For those not familiar with the Prime Speaker Vannifar combo it goes like this:
Prime Speaker Vannifar on the battlefield not summoning sick + any one drop on the battlefield.
Step 1: Sac the one drop to Vannifar getting Corridor Monitor.
Step 2: Have Corridor Monitor untap Vannifar.
Step 3: Sac the Corridor Monitor to Vannifar getting Renegade Rallier.
Step 4: Use Renegade Rallier ETB trigger to return Corridor Monitor to the battlefield.
Step 5: Have Corridor Monitor untap Vannifar.
Step 6: Sac the Renegade Rallier to the Vannifar getting Felidar Guardian.
Step 7: Felidar Guardian ETB targets Corridor Monitor, blinking it.
Step 8: Have Corridor Monitor untap Vannifar.
Step 9: Sac Felidar Guardian to Vannifar getting Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker.
Step 10: Have Kiki-Jiki make 1000 hasty Corridor Monitors.
Step 11: Attack.

This deck has lots of synergies.

I've seen a few Vannifar combo decks use Rhythm of the Wild to give Vannifar haste and go off the same turn she gets played, but I had a better idea. Saheeli Rai. Saheeli can create a copy of Vannifar the turn it gets played and then u keep the copy due to the legendary rule, effectively giving it haste. This opens up including Copy Cat combo as an alternate win con as Felidar Guardian is already part of the Vannifar combo.

Neoform is faster than Chord of Calling if you have access to one extra land thanks to the single copy of Snapcaster Mage. Meaning you can Skill Borrower combo on turn 3 more often if you have a Skill Borrower, a Mana Dork and 3 lands in play.

Saheeli Rai works really well with any two of Neoform and/or Eldritch Evolution combination on turn 3 if you have a mana dork in play, a sac land in your graveyard and 3 lands. Consider the following plays:
1. T1 Sac Land, Mana Dork
T2 Land, Saheeli Rai, Scry 1
T3 Land, Saheeli makes copy of Mana Dork, Sac Mana Dork copy to Eldritch Evolution to get Renegade Rallier, Rallier returns sac land, Neoform or Eldritch Evolution the Rallier into a Felidar Guardian and Copy Cat combo them to death.
2. T1 Sac Land, Mana Dork
T2 Land, Saheeli Rai, Scry 1
T3 Land, Saheeli makes copy of Mana Dork, Sac Mana Dork copy to Neoform to get Snapcaster Mage, Snapcaster targets the Neoform, Neoform the Snapcaster into a Renegade Rallier, Rallier returns sac land, Neoform the Rallier into Felidar Guardian and Copy Cat combo them to death.

So I was attempting to break Eldritch Evolution by looking at what the best targets when sacrificing a mana dork were when I discovered a three card turn 3 combo and build a deck around it.

The combo is:
(Birds of Paradise OR Noble Hierarch) + Skill Borrower + (Boggart Harbinger OR Eldritch Evolution)

Turn 3 Combo goes like this:
T1 - Land, Birds of Paradise OR Noble Hierarch
T2 - Land, Skill Borrower
T3 - Boggart Harbinger OR Eldritch Evolution sacrificing mana dork to get Boggart Harbinger.
---- Harbinger ETB trigger puts Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker on top of library. Skill Borrower uses Kiki-Jiki ability to
---- target itself creating a Skill Borrower token. Tokens repeatedly target themselves until you have 1000 tokens. Last Skill Borrower
---- token uses Kiki-Jiki ability but instead targets the Boggart Harbinger. Boggart Harbinger token ETB effect puts Mogg Fanatic
---- on top of library and then you sacrifice each Skill Borrower token with the Mogg Fanatic ability to kill your opponent.

I incorporated the combo into the Devoted Druid / Vizier of Remedies combo package as Skill Borrower can act as Devoted Druid 5-8 if it is on
top of your library.


There are a TONNE of ways to win turn 3 with this deck as the combos are very synergistic. I added a singleton Deceiver Exarch as a way
to win with a Kitchen Finks and 2 Eldritch Evolutions in a pinch.

Obviously if the combo only works if Kiki-Jiki and Mogg Fanatic are in your library so if you draw them you'll need to pivot to one of the other combo
kills.

I chose Rhonas the Indomitable over Walking Ballista because it attacks the opponent in a different method (attacking with large
creature versus pinging opponent to death). Reducing the impact of cards like Leyline of Sanctity and Stony Silence

The 9 fetch lands also add more top of library manipulation for Skill Borrower to abuse.

That’s pretty clever, man. Nice brewing. Don’t have much to add, just wanted to say I appreciate the combo.

Nice combo you found there its really dependent on creatures, but still a nice brew!
What do you think of Noxious Revival?
It plays into your Skill borrower!

But top-of-the-library hate is a lot less prevalent in modern than graveyard hate.

This looks like alot of fun and I really like to hear how testing goes. I never played a vanifar combo deck but it was played a few time against me when it was hot. It looked like a lot of fun to play when I saw it.

** Update **

I'd suggest playing Balista over the god. Reason being some of the combos already need the combat step. I'd hate for a bridge to lock you out of the game. If you play with Balista then you can just go straight to the dome and don't need to proceed to the combat action.
