I have this deck idea, and I am wondering if there is any cards to help it control the battlefield. As I look over my deck, i feel like it may have problems with creatures. It has several ways to help with this, but none of them are playable until turn three with a good hand.
The idea of swinging in with equipped unblockable creatures is a good one, but there's a lot to improve here. To start with, 3 of the most played cards in Modern are Lightning Bolt, Fatal Push and Path to Exile, your initial unblockable creature is vulnerable to dying Turn 1 against a huge proportion of the metagame. Also, if killed in response to an Aura, they 2-for-1 you, and if they kill in response to an equip you still lose mana. Therefore, to improve, I'd start by adding a lot more unblockable creatures. Invisible Stalker will probably be the best card you could run in this deck, so add that in. I'd also look at trimming a lot of the Aura and Equipment cards, and just running a couple of more powerful Equipment. Finally, I'd also suggest adding some number of cantrips (e.g Serum Visions) to help smooth out your draws and ensure you find both the creature you want tand the equipment you want to put on it.
Invisible Stalker is a great card for my deck. However, I feel it would be better in the sideboard then main deck. The reason why is, at the tournament i regularly go too, no more than 40% of the decks there run cards that can destroy my creatures before I attach neurok Stealthsuit to. I agree that Lightning bolt ect, are huge in the meta-game right now, but they aren't as prevalent in my tournament. Of the 40 percent that do have such cards, they only run the 4, in which chance gives them a percentage of drawing the card at 39 percent. it would be a little more, because I did not calculate in turn draw. Looking at those numbers above, it seems like the risk of using Triton shorestalker over Invisible stalker would be more worth the risk. Because if I run, Invisible stalker, I lose a turn no matter what, causing me to also lose two cards, but i am safe from risk, or use the triton shorestalker, and if he dies, I lose two cards and a turn. Then if you add in the cards I would have got, that is another two cards, and another turn. You suggest I put in both, but I feel like there is no need for me to ever have more than one creature out at a time. I am not trying to overwhelm, and this will only give them more advantage if they play something like Day of Judgment.
Triming down the Aura and Equipment cards is an good idea, but I don't know which ones to get rid of, and what to replace them with. Counter spells might do well, and I do not like Serum Visions, mainly because, i am already running 8 card drawing enchantments, and any cards that I draw, will work, because they all buff my creatures.
As for running more powerful Equipment, there aren't very good ones out there. Of course there is Eldrazi conscription, but the cards is to expensive currency wise for me.
I would argue that beacon of tomorrows and stolen identity are generally too mana intensive in a (mostly) ramp-less modern deck, but of course it’s entirely possible that in your meta getting to six mana and resolving a six mana spell are much more commonplace than we might expect. Still, maybe trim a couple copies as you probably don’t want them in your opening hand too often.
This deck has a lot of card draw. Having 8 curiosity like effects and 4 ordeal of thassa, if the opponent does not have a way to just quickly destroy my creature, I should easily be drawing enough cards to reliably play a land every turn till turn 6. Almost always, I will probably have played a dowsing dagger, so i feel like the mana cost of my more demanding spells should be worth it. Stolen Identity is a card I believe that will be good in my meta, and the moment I can cast Beacon of tomorrows, why not play it? It is likely that when I can play beacon or Argentum, that I already have the game in the bag, so they may be worth taking out.
I currently do not know of any cards that will help with sacrificing effects. It is true, that if my opponents has one, I am likely to be screwed. Maybe Mana leak, could help with protecting creatures.
Would opt be good?
Also, since I have more card draw, maybe more mana ramp would be good, so I could capitalize better on card advantage. Palladium myr seems like a good choice, since i can copy it with stolen identity and let it be the target of sacrificial effects. Also, maybe i should try powerstone shard,(can also be the target of stolen identity,) or silver myr instead, and how many should I put in, and is so, what would be the best to take out?
Also, thanks for all the comments so far, its been a good help, rethinking through my deck.
It might help if you let us know what decks you see in your local meta. Most of the players in this forum are used to a very fast metagame with a lot of decks like Affinity, Burn and Humans which would be terrible matchups for you deck. If your store is full of nothing but glacially slow decks that give you time to reliably get 8-drop spells through without comsistent ramp, then all you need to do is play a fast aggro deck to win basically every round and clean house!
I don't mean to sound disparaging, but it does sound like you play in a very casual environment. If that is the case, then it would be best to ignore us and just play whatever you find most fun if you want to get competitive, thought, you will have to tweak your deck to not good to the abundance of cards that are currently very good against it. I know when I came up against an Aura themed deck with my main Abzan list, I am very pleased and will immediately set about clearing you hand of creatures with my discard package and follow up with removal on whatever's left...
Sure Nawillih, these are the decks I typically play against. You are right that I do play in a causul tournament, the name might make you laugh. It is called the Junior Super Series tournament, where a bunch of high school students get together and play magic. it is free and the winner gets two booster packs, and top four get one. As you can see, I am not playing against top tier here.
Decks I almost always win with playing against my enchantment deck... ( https://www.mtgsalvation.com/decks/2521-whispers-of-the-enchanted )
1. Seismic swans. This contains Seismic Assault, Treasure hunt,Lightning bolt and the swan card, unfortunately I don't know its name. Usually can win by turn four, but would be easy to beat with any type of control cards.
2. Sorin thememed, Includes both Sorins, Sorin's vengeance, vampire nighthawk, day of judgment, and light removals like doom blade.
Decks my enchantment deck struggles with,
1. Tron. This is a budget tron, but has all the lands, and uses cards like reality smasher, and the Ugin that returns colored permanents. It is the most expensive deck here, ranging around 300 american dollars.
2. Aggro, boros themed, this uses mainly ravinica cards, but also has classics like lightning bolt. It almost never doesn't win by turn 4.
Im not trying to get my deck to beat tron or aggro, but if you can find a way, fantastic. Please realize, that these are not all the decks there, there are plenty of other decks, most of them involving a combo of some sort, but I feel like countering Seismic Swans would counter them all. If you need more info, my enchantment deck almost always places fourth, if that helps, and most games, few people plays threats turn 1 or 2.

4 Triton shorestalker
4 Mist-cloaked Herald
Enchantments 12
4 Ordeal of Thassa
4 Curiosity
4 Curious Obsession
3 Livewire lash
2 Argentum Armor
3 Neurok Stealthsuit
1 Inquisitor's flail
4 Dowsing Dagger
4 Lost Vale
4 Beacon of Tomorrows
3 Stolen Identity
Land 20
18 Island
2 Skyline Cascade
Dowsing Dagger and Lost Vale are the same card.
A quick preview of how I plan it will work, Like how the average first three turns will be like.
Turn 1, Island, Triton shorestalker
Turn 2 Island, Curious obsession, Curiosity Then attack, draw two
Turn 3, Depending on opponents deck, Skyline cascade, Dowsing dagger or Island, Neurok stealthsuit
After these three turns, you would have established yourself good card draw, and plenty of mana if Dowsing dagger.
So, any suggestions to make this deck better?
Happy brewing!
