So a long time ago in the ravnica/timespiral blocks, I bumped into a deck on the magic motherboard called Cloudy Skies. I really don't know who initially designed it but I personally thought it was a interesting agro control deck of the time. It used suntail hawk, flying men, unstable mutation, and pride of the clouds alongside countermagic to win. Since then I've been fiddling around with it off and on. Heres the current gen I've designed.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. I will say two things though. Delver just isn't going in this deck. Delver decks get so warped by trying to get delver flipped that even if the abberations on the field its just not worth the hassle. The other thing is that all creatures have to have flying inherent rather than conditionally since mana will be fairly tight.
With this style of deck, particularly in modern, you are looking for speed over value which makes cards like Squadron Hawk/Lingering Souls mediocre. Personally I would go Jeskai and put in Mantis RiderSpell QuellerMausoleum Wanderer and Lightning Bolt.
I'm a little skeptical that you can get away with just slamming dinky 1/1 fliers in Modern. Soul Sisters decks are the next closest thing I can think of, with Squadron Hawk alongside Spectral Procession and Honor of the Pure, but that deck also has multiple serious threats other than its weenies and anthems. Pride of the Clouds requires a board state to work (its forecast ability is garbage lol), so it isn't going to be reliable all the time.
I think this deck needs Path to Exile ASAP. The handful of countermagic you have certainly isn't going to cut it, especially if you want some sort of tempo strategy.
It was quite funny back then, not letting attack me and gaining a lot of life thanks to lifelink from the charm, and each turn increasing the number of flying and annoying creatures haha.
You should get Spell Queller, probably one of the best flyers for this deck.
I'd slot it over Lightning Angel which is too slow at 4-mana for a tempo deck like this one.
Rough // Tumble and Firespout can be used as one-sided sweepers in this deck, I'd pick one of them and put 2x copies in the SB.
Midnight Haunting is a possible maindeck card (though a bit weak) but I don't really see it as a SB card. Warkite Marauder can be a decent replacement giving you the option to deal with big opposing creatures.

Siren Stormtamer is another good 1-drop for this deck.

Took the advice and here is take two of the deck
I was going on an Esper deck. It had:
Flying creatures for 1-2 manas.
Bitterblossom
Azorius Charm
Favorable Winds
Ensnaring Bridge

Holy Day and Hope of Ghirapur seem a bit odd as SB cards, what matchups do they help with ?
