The sideboard Is a bit weird too.. i don’t get the point to put so many different cards. If somebody can explain it to me.
This sideboard is for an unknown and/or broad meta. Rather than having a few, very focused answers, such as Rule of Law for Storm or Kor Firewalker Burn, this sideboard is adaptable with 2, 3 or 4 cards coming in to most MUs.
If you know what you're likely to come up against among those 60 players, then I'd tailor your sideboard for that tournament. If you don't, then I'd run with more singletons in the sideboard for flexibility.
I’m of the opinion that it’s a little faster to stabilize and turn the corner. Sorin is Gideon, ally of zendikar five and six. Whether or not these changes are correct is more a reflection of the meta one is playing in.
My suspicion (that’s all it is) is that the sideboard is loaded down with a bunch of cards that are decent in many situations but good in one or two specific ones and that the player would be able to hold out long enough to draw the single card that really shines. Once again, that’s just a guess.
Fwiw, I’m trying out gideons in sun and moon. I think it will play in a similar way but not be dead to Tron or a turn one blood moon.

Your success in playing dnt/hatebears is determined largely by your ability to read and prepare for the meta that you will be playing in. Furthermore, it has an absolutely brutal learning curve. Expect to lose; a lot.
Sorin, lord of innistrad. Sorry for the confusion. I chose lord of innistrad over solemn visitor due to the fact that token generation is a + ability and thus allows for stalling a disadvantaged board state while being equally good in a neutral or advantageous board state due to being able to create an emblem for only two loyalty.

I am not. I’ve only played this deck in fnm level events. I’ve played concealed courtyards to have a better chance of casting first turn discard spells. As you’ve mentioned the downside is coming into play tapped when it’s your fourth or greater land drop. I think the deck has a generous enough manabase that one could mostly sequence correctly to have first turn and fourth turn mana on the curve.
Once again, that’s just my opinion.

The problem with cutting Ob-Nixilis and Big Sorin is that we don’t have any solution to beat a deck that runs Ensnaring Bridge main deck. (I highly playtested against Lantern control FYI)
Is this card played enough to be concerned ?
In that kind of game, wouldn't our game plan be Gideon of the Trials' Emblem? Do they run anything that can remove 1, or more, Gideon's from the board?
Abrupt decay
Tezzeret (life drain mode to put us at 0 life and 5/5 artifact mode to try to kill gideons)
Spellbomb
pithing needle (proactively)
With codex and academy ruins they can just play their bullets again and again and maybe avoid milling themselves to death.
After tests I came to the conclusion that I can concede game 1 as soon as I see a bridge on board and try to beat lantern with my sideboard (witch occurs pretty often).
So, maybe Ob-Nixilis and Big Sorin aren’t enough to win the Game 1 against lantern because they can just mill those cards on sight.
You beatdown with Spirits, tokens and Gideons. If they play Ensnaring Bridge, you Emblem your GotT, which works with ANY Gideon.
Abrupt Decay doesn't affect GAoZ and GJ. Losing life wont't affect your PW. His 5/5 creature artifacts can't attack either if he has Ensnaring Bridge.
So, you either beat him down, or you sit back using the emblem to protect you: you can't lose the game, so he will eventually deck himself (or it may become a draw).
Game 2, Leyline of Sanctity, Stony Silence and Disenchant (or some other such effect) will help you win.

academy ruins with pyrite spellbomb answers anything except big Gideon, and means lantern won't deck out. Of course, after one of their main deck pithing needles resolves, it handles him too.

I think this deck has more in common with rw sun and moon than would seem apparent at first. What does everyone think of temple of silence? I don’t think tap lands hurt the deck greatly since we have plenty of room for sequencing them advantageously.

Many who cross Sorin's path come down with a sudden and fatal case of being-in-the-way-of-a-millennia-old-vampire.
I could use some advice. I have been grinding the modern friendly league going 3-2 or 4-1. Every loss in the last 15 matches has been to Storm, Breach, KikiMoon or Valakut. Conversely, I haven't lost yet to Humans, Hollow One, Affinity, Goblins or other aggro. Have you found UR Combo difficult? What would you recommend? Here's my list Orzhov Control.
My current plan is to keep the mb tuned for aggro while, in some way, updating my sb for combo. I don't know. What do you think?

would leyline of sanctity be a good one for that? Ruined halo? Also maybe something like lost legacy or slaughter games (I know slaughter games has red mana but theres another monoblack version for 4cmc but I forget the name)
mb arguel's blood fast is pretty cool i guess, but otherwise doesnt seem too unique.

I think you should change some of your spot removal to sweepeers. Im actually super surprised that youre doing well with a Geths an Blessed in the MB with only 2 sweepers. I run 2x Cranial Extraction in the board and it single handedly wins me games vs UR control and Combo. removing their Jace or combo pieces if they run through the breach/emrakul. I like being able to name ANYTHING at 4cmc over being limited with the 3cmc spell but theyre cheap so playtest it yourself!
Will post my updated list tonight...Everyone was talking a few weeks ago about cutting the leyline. Ive been running 3x in the MB, destroying ALL combo game one before SB and decks like Jund an faeries not being able to hit me with discard is huge.

Thanks! I've had some success with 2 Runed Halo in the SB but it's easily countered and/or removed. I should probably upgrade to Leylines. Until then, I've decided to run 3 Duress, 2 Surgical Extraction, and 2 Damping Sphere in the SB.

Done! Geth's was a reaction to losing to Breach>Emrakul too many times. Thought an instant speed edict might help our Breach and Bogles MUs but it's not necessary with the right SB. I tried a few Lost Legacy awhile ago, but perhaps the lobotomy effect is worth another try. As the cards are so inexpensive, I'll give it a shot.
Maybe because it’s not the planeswalker the deck needs, or maybe it’s not as good as we think in a metagame full of aggro decks and fast combo decks..?
I MB 3 Lilis. She is excellent vs decks which hold value in hand (Storm and other combo), especially when accompanied by T1 or 2 disruption, and she locks our opponent out in top deck mode. Playing Lili T5 after wrathing T4 when Humans or other aggro has dumped their hand T1-3 is often GG. Plus, she wins vs Bogles. I don't know what I'd run in her place, Leylines maybe

At the moment, this is what I'm planning to sleeve up for the next time I get to play the deck (VERY busy these days). This is mainly based on the Todd Stevens decklist posted a few weeks ago (page #7; unfortunately, the games are not available on Twitch). The main difference is that I am playing a playset of Wall of Omens to slow down the game and 24 lands (with 4x WoO, it felt right to decrease the land count).
I'm curious about the the mana base (not sure why is says 'Mukibi's Deck', sorry!)? I understand needing basics for Field of Ruin and Bloodmoon but the coloured sources here won't consistently (90% according to Frank Karsten) cast our spells on curve. On the play, 11 untapped B casts B 1 drops T2-3, 15 B sources casts Damnation T6-7, and 17 W sources casts WW walkers T5-6 which is bad news for Gideon of the Trials. I'm happy if the deck plays out differently to the numbers or for my numbers to be off.
You may want to consider replacing 1 Swamp and 1 Plains for 2 untapped Duals or Fetches (which help trigger revolt for Push) to increase your W and B resources to 18 and 12, as well as your odds of hitting T1 B and curving out.
It's practically the same lands as Todd Stevens's deck, with one less Field of Ruins. That said, I would want one more white source. I think I will remove Damnation, the only BB card, for Day of Judgment, and a basic Swamp for a dual land, probably Isolated Chapel since I got 2 foil ones during Dominaria prerelease.
I'm not too stressed getting an untapped black source turn 1, as long as I get it by turn 2. It's not like this deck has a lot of 2 drops, except for WoO and Collective Brutality.

Cool. 13 basics gives you 88.5% chance of drawing one T1 for T2 untapped Isolated Chapel, so that's good.
