Hey Everyone! I've been playing this for about 2 months now. Doing pretty well on mtgo and did pretty well at a pptq just recently. At this point I'm trying to fine tune it and looking for advice. The sideboard changes for the meta so I didn't include that.
As you can see it's a combo deck that can either win with Aetherflux, grind station x2 myr, or just plain old beating down with 10/10's...you know the usual. There are a ton of cool interactions that you can do to win the game and it's pretty resilient. I'm looking for advice on cards I may have no thought of or maybe a different route I didn't try yet.
If you have any questions please let me know! I can answer probably anything about the deck. Other wise just have fun with it cause I wanted to share my creation.
Common question for all affinity style decks but, alternative to Mox in this list? Normally the answer is springleaf drum or Mantle. However, I feel that the lack of numbers could make these even less of an option. Do I just admit that the deck is weak without it and run another 0 cost for the storm value?
Thank yow
You are correct that it does make the deck weaker without it. Paradoxical outcome only costs 2 when you have a mox, turn 2 an anvil, etc
However if it is out of your price range I'd suggest a spicy SB and run a few other basics and Pentad Prism in it's place. Doing this you activate cards like Anger of the Gods (SB), Blood moon (SB), Fatal Push (SB) and it basically does the same as mox when casting an outcome while having the benefit of paying for whir all by itself, and paying for manaleak and it's ilk.
