I am currently developing and testing a U/G Tron deck.
It uses the Urzatron lands to bring out board threats like Wurmcoil Engine, Sundering Titan and Platinum Angel if necessary by turn 3-5.
The current list I'm working on is a semi-budget one that uses Sylvan Scrying and Ancient Stirrings from R/G tron to dig around for the tron setup and potential board threats. It also uses Treasure Mage from Mono Blue tron to tutor for Wurmcoil Engine, Platinum Angel, e.c.t.
I am also running one Karn Liberated for his -3 and +4 abilities, and, like mono U tron, am keeping 1 Mindlaver and 1 academy ruins as I can tutor with Treasure Mage and Ancient Stirrings to stop my opponent from playing the game (Fun!)
Note, I am also keeping the plethora of counter spells from the Mono U version.

4x Urza's Power Plant
4x Breeding Pool
3x Island
1x Forest
1x Academy Ruins
1x Dismember
4x Mana Leak

I would really appreciate advice on improving the deck and sideboard

etched champion as a one of works great in the SB.
I'm not a big fan of dismember,I would slot in cyclonic rift instead.
Use chromatic star in replacement of the spheres.
I would MB O-stone and SB the titan.
I would also use Ugin instead of Karn,but I'm on the Ugin band wagon so it's a biased recommendation.
I also would trade the mages for fabricate.I find that sometimes you want to find a map so you can complete tron.Sometimes you will have five mana but only two tron lands,a map can't be grabbed with the mage.
For early game disruption you can use remand instead, gives a card so it helps dig while slowing down the opponent down. beast within is also a good card.Its spot removal and most times the token is irrelevant.
Hope these suggestions help a little,or at least give some ideas.
