Nebelgast herald is fun in the deck and has won me some games I only currently use 1. I still want to test out nimble obstructionist
Has anyone been testing it?
I think someone else mentioned it but nimble obstructionist does not belong in this deck. The only reason a non spirit is played is due to it being extremely useful. Ie: noble provides acceleration for both mana and early damage.

I've removed my two phantasmal images for Nebelghast. He wins a lot of games and is hilarious against death shadow. Partnered up with Moorland Haunt and you have one frustrated opponent.
Here is what I am playing. I went 2-1-1 last night, but I think some of that was misplays on my part and some less than good side board decisions and a sideboard I was not happy with.
I was very happy with the main, but I could see going to 1 Phantasmal Image for the 2nd Steel of the Godhead. However, I have to say that I won a game against Eldrazi Tron by copying a Smasher, giving me a colorless 5/5 haster and another game by copying an opposing Tarmogoyf. It's a tough call because 4/4-5 lifelink/unblockable wins a lot of games.
Firstly: Why aren't we running Worship? It is strong against Merfolk, Counters Company, Eldrazi, every Primeval Titan deck, Burn, small aggro decks, and Scapeshift. Most decks cannot assemble the number of flyers we do and even Eldrazi can't really deal with that without Karn Liberated. Plus, 2 Worship allow me to just drop Supreme Verdict and the 3 Leyline of Sanctity (which were in there for Burn, Scapeshift, Lantern Control, and Mill, I guess), giving me two more slots in the sideboard. Now, it won't deal with Lantern or Mill (is that even a deck outside of my local meta???), but it is good against so many other decks that it feels like the right move.
Secondly: Kataki or Stony Silence? I have to say, as much as I love the idea of Kataki, Stony Silence always seems better. Sure, Kataki is good against Affinity and Lantern (which has almost ceased to exist it seems), but it dies more easily than Stony and has no value against Tron and Eldrazi Tron.
Thirdly: I want Eidolon of Rhetoric for combo decks, at least two. It feels like a very solid choice, better than Thalia, Guardian of Thraben at least as a sideboard card (if you play Thalia, she has to be in the main, but I like her less in CoCo Spirits than in UW Vial Spirits and I have to say, CoCo feels really good and really dirty.)
Fourthly: Dusk // Dawn seems really solid. Wipe the opponents board, but also bring back our own hand with aftermath. Even if you wipe out your own board (though generally if we have the Captain up and running, we don't need to wipe the board), everything that dies because of a Lord effect will come back since we don't run any cards at all with native power 3 or greater.
Finally, I didn't feel a great need for 2 Qasali Pridemage, so I will probably go to 1. That also feels better with Dusk // dawn
@ketoglutarate
I am iffy on two card combos in a deck with no real draw (CoCo is a different thing.) Dusk // Dawn largely leaves us intact and allows us to refill our hand against removal-heavy decks, especially Eldrazi Tron running 2+ board wipes. Of course, I don't like that Dusk can be countered, that's the main limit of the card, but I am not sure that is good enough, sort of like "Dies to removal" is not a good enough reason to not play a creature.
I like 2 Relic because I don't always want to make my Moorland Haunt useless, but I might want graveyard hate, and Relic is more flexible and efficient than Tormod's Crypt (though CMC 0 is real.) Plus, graveyard hate turn 1 is very nice.
With two Worship, I have anti-Valakut (for me, pure Scapeshift is a Valakut deck) cards, plus Wandered and Queller. I could see going to three Worship over the other options because it gives me what is effectively a permanent answer, rather than a random counterspell. I am in favor of utilizing W sideboard cards to their full value over counters in a deck like ours. If I could find room in the sideboard for multiple Aven Mindcensor, I would happily do it. I love that card, but then I think Eidolon of Rhetoric needs to go away and that makes combo match-ups much worse.
I also notice that you are not using any Blessed Alliance, a card I love against Death's Shadow, Burn, and Eldrazi. I suppose I could take those out for 2 Aven Mindcensor if I was committed to fighting Scapeshift/PrimeTime/Valakut.dec. I think if I do that, I definitely have to go to 2 Steel of the Godhead and 1 Phantasmal Image to shore up the Burn and Eldrazi matches with lifegain.
EDIT:
realized I also only had 14 in the SB. Hmmm, kind of happy with it. What would be a good 1-of? Steel of the Godhead #2 might fit there.
Worship is also excellent against Merfolk and Death's Shadow, as they really lack a way to deal with it.
EE is excellent for its flexibility, I just have trouble finding room with all the other things.
Nebelgast Herald is amazing against Primeval Titan.dec and Death's Shadow. It is the card i want to see both copies of, followed up with a stream of other spirits to trigger it, and it is my main reason to use Moorland Haunt (alongside Liliana of the Veil.)

mirror entity seems really good in the deck its a mana sync which is some times....has anyone tried like thistledown liege as maybe a 1 off 1/3 with flash so we don't have to tap out on our turn which is huge gives our u/w creatures +2 +2 everything else but nobles get +1+1 so its like another lord i would fit it in the steel of the godhead position.
Game 1: Off to a reasonably quick start with a stacked hand. Geist of Saint Traft did most of the work. And Spell Queller ate a timely Supreme Verdict for the win.
Game 2: The opponent removed a couple of our threats, but didn't have countermagic for a Collected Company, flashing Drogskol Captain and Geist of Saint Traft onto the battlefield. Gideon of the Trials game down, but GoST split time with the angel token to knock down the Gideon and the opponent simultaneously
1-0 in matches.
Round 2 (Ad Nauseam)[1-2]
Game 1: Opponent does their thing; I do mine. They get plenty of mana rocks and manage to go off before I kill them. Went for the Laboratory Maniac win, and I packed it in...WITH A PATH TO EXILE IN HAND AND AN OPEN MANA UP. What a punt.
Game 2:
Stony Silence for the mana rocks and Eidolon of Rhetoric for the Spells leave my opponent high and dry while I beat him to death with an Eidolon.
Game 3:
Hand seems good, with Stony Silence and Double Queller. An early Phyrexian Unlife bolsters his life total and I drop a Spell Queller countering nothing to get he beats in. He resolves AN a few turns later and Pacts my Spell Queller to win off Laboratory Maniac. Rough.
1-1
Round 3 (Omen Valakut)[2-0]
Game 1: Early beats via a T2 Geist puts him dead before he can do much of anything.
Game 2: Mull to 6. Plenty of gas in hand. I Spell Queller an Obstinate Baloth(?). Prismatic omen comes down on the other side, and things look dire as he casts Summoner's Pact. However, Collected Company hits Spell Queller and Aven Mindcensor, leaving the opponent to cast only Chameleon Colossus(??). Opponent scoops a turn later.
2-1
Round 4 (Orzhov Eldrazi) [2-1]
Game 1: Slow hand with PtoE, CoCo, and nothing else. Opponent kills off some early Hierarchs, and makes some Lingering Souls. I CoCo into Spell Queller and Drogskol Captain, which are slowly whittle away by a steady stream of removal. We both build our boards until he drops Reality Smasher, Thought-Knot Seer, and Reality Smasher on consecutive turns. I scoop.
Game 2: Grafdigger's Cage puts a damper on Collected Company fun, but also traps an early Lingering Souls in his graveyard. I build the board out with Drogskol Captain and Geist of Saint Traft, while he fails to draw anything noteworthy. He seemed a bit flooded and I take the game in the air.
Game 3:
Early Lingering Souls looks like it locks up the board, but I CoCo in response to Thought-Knot Seer, grabbing Queller and Drogskol Captain. I mess up his blocks by flashing in another Captain off of Rattlechains and he scoops after.
3-1
Round 5 (Burn)[2-1]
Game 1: I get stuck on two lands and he blows me up with a Shrine of Burning Rage with 11 counters.
Games 2 and 3:
He keeps killing my creatures instead of aiming at my face and I eventually kill him when he runs out of burn spells.
4-1
Overall, the deck feels great to play, if a bit swingy on account of the Collected Companies. Lingering Souls was the card I least wanted to see, as it really prevents us from getting beats on with our creatures. I'll probably cut a GoST and an Image to add some Steel of the Godheads or Nebelgasts.
My spirits list is consistently successful, and it only runs 20 lands. Why is everyone so stuck on 22? Also sideboard is constantly changing due to fluctuations in the meta and evaluation of cards. I have tried Linvala, Gaddock Teeg, Eidolon of Rhetoric, Unified Will, Nissa, Steward of Elements, Smuggler's Copter and many others.
Current list:
Creatures 1 Birds of Paradise 4 Noble Hierarch 4 Mausoleum Wanderer 4 Rattlechains 4 Spell Queller 4 Drogskol Captain 3 Geist of Saint Traft 2 Selfless Spirit 2 Nebelgast Herald 1 Reflector Mage 1 Phantasmal Image Utility 4 Collected Company 1 Engineered Explosives 1 Steel of the Godhead 4 Path to Exile Lands 1 Plains 1 Forest 1 Island 2 Cavern of Souls 2 Breeding Pool 1 Hallowed Fountain 1 Temple Garden 1 Horizon Canopy 4 Flooded Strand 4 Misty Rainforest 2 Windswept Heath Sideboard 2 Kataki, Wars Wage 2 Stony Silence 2 Rest in Peace 2 Blessed Alliance 2 Voice of Resurgence 1 Selfless Spirit 1 Kira, the Great Glass-Spinner 1 Engineered Explosives 1 Qasali Pridemage 1 Reflector Mage
Don't know why the deck won't show up. Damn these tag things.

Welcome! Deck tags are easy once you get the trick. "Quote" any post with a decklist (like this one) to see. Square brackets are magic. Put the word "deck" in square brackets before and "/deck" in square brackets after. Each card goes on a new line.
How have people been liking Reflector Mage in the deck? I feel like it dilutes the spirit count, but offers a useful tool against E-Tron. Is it worth it to lose out on the spirit synergies to get a slightly more powerful raw effect? Also, the card is dead against combo.
I tried two reflector mage in my main deck this week. I found the card very powerful, but like the 20 or so other powerful planeswalkers, non-spirits, sorceries, enchantments and artifacts I have tried, it has the same problem - it must be played on my turn. If I am casting items on my turn, unless it is a specific sideboard card like kataki or stony silence, I am far behind in the game. I am going with one for now, and playing a bird as a 5th mana dork. The turn two acceleration is just so important in the deck.
and it came up blank in regards to the cards (still shows the deck top)
Did you "Quote" my post and look? Your post has no cards between "deck" and "/deck", just " and ". If I cut/paste your string and put "1 island" on it's own line in between the tags, look:
I found this deck right before GP Birmingham and switched last second. Played it there and had a blast even though I did a ton of mistakes due to it being a very different style than my usual non-blue midrange legacy deck.
I have since then played it a bit more and I am super exited for the Modern Open Missed Trigger Gaming season to brgin here in Norway so I can get in more matches.
For the first time I'm completely in love with a modern deck. It's a beautiful deck to look at which is part of my enjoyment in magic. It also feels stronger than anything I've tried in modern and just an absolute blast to play with it's evasion and trixing.
Right now I'm collecting different cards for testing, but this is the deck I want to play with for a while:
1 Qasali Pridemage
1 Kira, Great Glass-Spinner
1 Engineered Explosives
2 Ceremonious Rejection
1 Path to Exile
1 Blessed Alliance
2 Rest in Peace
2 Stony Silence
1 Unified Will
1 Steel of the Godhead
1 Worship
1 Moorland Haunt
* On advice from someone I played Vendilion Clique in the place of Herald in the GP and after. But often I find myself in stalls with Geist and I just want to get it through. The non-spirit interaction is often relevant too.
Depends on your hand and if you know what the opponent is doing. It is really about situational decision making.
For example, 3 lands, no Hierarch, RC and Geist of Saint Traft or Drogskol Captain: You definitely flash RC eot and hope to get a chance to flash in Geist or Captain.
Or in another hand you have 5 mana and you know you have to Queller something. Keep him back to protect Queller.
Or you want to bait removal so you can land Worship or CoCo on 4 mana, so you flash it in to see if they take the bait (RC is a definite problem if you have cards in hand.)
RC is very decision intensive and it makes sequencing complex for you and even worse for your opponent. As long as it isn't the last card in hand, they often have to kill it with the trigger on the stack or they get blown out by it by not being able to kill it with the trigger on the stack. And for us, it can be protector, enabler, aggressor, or bait.
This deck doesn't exist without RC and Queller and you will find that they are the cards you are actually the least likely to ever side out.

1 Steel of the Godhead
1 Worship
1 Moorland Haunt
* On advice from someone I played Vendilion Clique in the place of Herald in the GP and after. But often I find myself in stalls with Geist and I just want to get it through. The non-spirit interaction is often relevant too.
