Hey everyone! haven't posted much on these forums so forgive me if my formatting is off. Ever since I came across Lantern of Insight control decks i fell in love. Being able to control your opponents draws can be a powerful thing, and I had to make my own version of it. Here I've made a standard lantern control deck with a twist, It includes the mindcrank/duskmantle guildmage infinite combo without taking away from the lantern strategy much (let me know if i'm just creating a diluted version of two decks.) All of the artifact search with Ancient Stirrings and Tezzeret Agent of Bolas lets us find our mindcrank combo piece very easily, and we can find our Duskmantle Guildmage pretty easily by being able to control our own draws as well as our opponents. A Codex Shredder or Ghoulcaller's Bell can set off the mindcrank/duskmantle combat at instant speed when they're helpless to do anything about it. Any advice on the deck is welcome, especially mana fixing. The sideboard is more of a maybeboard.
There shouldn't be a problem to post a new concept in here. Introducing a combo is quite a bit to handle for the deck though.
You have 8 alternate win con cards with 2-4cmc in the main board. This is a lot if you want to use the Ensnaring Bridge to its full potential. Note that Duskmantle Guildmage is a 5mana drop if you want to use him correctly. Mindcrank can mill your opponent uncontrollably.
I want you to test Collective Brutality instead of Tezz and the Grid. Try to build the deck card for card.
Have you ever played Lantern Control?
yeah- i've been playing it. I do have some success with it, the tezz was dropped and collective brutality helps a lot. Other than that do you have any ideas to streamline it?
