Cheers! The tron matchup is tough despite what my results say. I feel that the fulminators/stonies in combination with thought seize are crucial. My plan is to strip a threat from their hand. Attack their mana either using stonies or mages. And keep pressuring their life so by the time they do stabilize or get tron it is too late. Usually the only draw they have where i think if they have it im dead is Ugin. Other threats like wurmcoil or karn or even ulamogg are usually not enough because i have too many threats or a path.
To go into more detail about that game. Game 1 he got natural tron and got stomped by two ulamoggs, first one got pathed. Second game, I got a turn two stony and he had a heavy mana rock hand and didnt draw natural tron. Meanwhile rhinos beat him down along with a voice. Third game i went turn 1 thoughtseized and took Ugin. He had just ramp to follow. I then evolved a voice into a mage and attacked a tron land. Then kept beating down then played my second mage and destroyed another tron land. He eventually got tron but would have died to finks and souls tokens and man lands. The only out was ugin.
OK. I don't have many games played against Tron. Not much in my meta. However, my deck is fully built online so I might have more chance to play this match up. Right now I'm :
1-0 against Storm
1-1 against Sultai Control (same guy)
1-0 against Mono White
Im playing competitive match with Tickets. I will start playing some league soon as soon as I have more time.
Here is my deck. I don't know yet about Big Game Hunter. I will probly change it for something else, maybee Thrunn or Gideon Ally of Zendikar.
Went 4-2 at the PPTQ finishing 11th out of 42 players. Similar list to the one above except i swapped out one kitchen finks for a sin collector. Games were s follows;
Robots - loss (1-2) - Really close games. In game 3 lost to a blink moth nexus that was pumped twice due to double master of etherium. Was going wide but couldn't assemble an alpha attack to take him out. I think with one more removal spell i would have got there but only saw one the entire game. Was tough to start off with a loss to a good matchup
Burn - Win (2-0) - These were fairly straight forward games. Game 1 went wide then game 2 managed to fade a couple of draws. I also played around deflecting palm which was huge.
Merfolk - Win (2-0) - Game 1 the cards fell out nicely such that orzhov pontiff wrathed his board. Game 2 was an awkward triple vial draw for my opponent.
GR Tron - Loss (0-2) - Brutal matchup cos of the sweepers. GB tron i dont mind as much. Game 1 as expected. Game 2 was brutal and spicy. I managed to get thragtusk out but he had o-stone after one attack. Before attacks I eldritch evolution a voice into a thrun and regenereated after he popped the o-stone. I was thinking i should be fine unless he has Ugin. Nek minnit
BW Death and Taxes - Win (2-0) - Managed to get some sweet plays game one with sin collector into sigarda then beat down and evolved sigarda into rhino to win. Game 2 was on the back foot with two Thought Knot Seer beating down til i drew the nut draw "maelstrom pulse"!. Quickly won after i drew the extra cards
Grixis Shadow - Win (2-0) - First game my opponent got punished after a risky keep. Game 2 I landed an early RIP which completely shut off his engine. After that i eventually managed to rhino him out.
So after 6 rounds 11th and good enough for 8 boosters of store credit. The round one loss was costly but I couldn't have done much better. Deck feels great and will keep running this iteration until the meta shifts again. One thing I am not sure on is shambling vents or stirring wildwood or hissing quagmire. I know i want one of them as it has been very relevant to have the colored mana source.
I went 1-2-1 on FNM. I made some mistakes and didn't play 100%. It's ok though. I lost to jeskai team geist and mono white enchantments with solemnity and unlife. The enchantments list is certainly beatable but didn't happen. I needed a pulse or decay to kill the unlife and i just didn't draw one (he was at -6).

Hey guys ! Im still watching this channel I just don't have many new result to post. I was just wondering if you saw Todd GW Evolution list at SCG Louisville this week end?
Was in the chat when he played Archangel in a different deck on stream and we mentioned that it could be good in GW Valuetown. Apparently he liked it Not sure I like the 26 creatures with Company or the curve very much, but it looks decent, lots of good creatures for the fair MU's. Do we know how it went for him?

He had bad result. I think he didn't make day 2. I would like to know what he think about the deck and the possibility of adding a black splash. But it make me wonder if an Abzan version with Coco could be good. I have been running a few high drop like Siege Rhino so I would need to cut them. But I guess the Collective Brutality and TS in side don't make sense with this.
I havent been playing much modern lately. traded some stuff to build a standard deck for nationals. Will likely ride it out until rotation. Im hoping opt gives a boost to blue in modern
Company *is* heavy on the deckbuilding (we likely want to run removal/discard main). Also, questionable if we have better hits than Abzan Druid Company or Abzan Humans. But maybe still worth a shot, yeah.

I agree Pathrogas. I think its better to play Druid compancy or abzan humans. Especially when running our higher value creatures due to evolution (getting us there quicker)
Hey guys,
How are you doing ? Still brewing with this decl. Added a blue splash for Scarab, Hostage and Jace. Do you think it’s too random or it can work ?
Counts : 60 main / 15 sideboard
Creatures:24
4 Birds of Paradise
2 Noble Hierarch
2 Coiling Oracle
1 Jace, Vryn's Prodigy
1 Scavenging Ooze
3 Voice of Resurgence
1 Eternal Witness
3 Kitchen Finks
1 Renegade Rallier
1 Tireless Tracker
1 Hostage Taker
1 Linvala, Keeper of Silence
1 Baneslayer Angel
1 Sigarda, Host of Herons
1 The Scarab God
i have made the decision to just build straight abzan. My deck has been evolving more and more towards that deck where it jst becomes the question why not play goyfs and lilli's. Also dont have the interest in keeping up to date with what bullets i need to get and tweaks i need to make any given week.
@BowAndArrow2
Hard to say anything without testing it. Not sure about the Souls and the 1-of value guys (Jace, Rallier) that you generally want to draw with some consistency. Generally, the more consistent, the better the deck will perform in the long run. Also, three 5-drops with 22 lands seems pretty greedy

I see you have also moved to abzan company Pathrogas? very solid deck. I think durdling in this meta is very difficult which this deck does. Evolution is a sweet card and will always have a place but overall i don't think its powerful enough compared to the rest of what modern is doing.
@devtin
Aye. Having a strong plan A is something the deck struggled with a lot, so until that is solved, it seems hard to justify it on a competetive level. And I don't really have the time and energy for proper testing at the moment. Brewing be hard, yo!
