what about a list using maralen of the mornsong?
you could CoCo, Chord, Vial, etc at the end of the opponents turn, it would serve as any piece of the combo.
lets say you CoCo and get spike feeder and her, get the evolution from your deck, sac her to get the angel, or even reveilark if value is needed.
Or you already have the angel, CoCo or vial her at end of the turn and get the spike feeder.
I know the trade off is that you cant just cast her because it will be bad, but that would be the cost for having a wildcard for the combo. And if you have 6 manas you can just cast it and evolution.
Is there a creature with targeted removal we can fetch for that can remove Kalitas from the battlefield? Fiend Hunter is too vulnerable. Nekrataal, Shriekmaw and Big Game Hunter all fail at that.

I would say that the lack of flametongue kavu is probably the #1 thing keeping this deck from being a thing. Wizards will eventually print it in modern (or something very similar) and that'll be nice. They're being really careful with it.
According to Frank karsten's article, my mana base should be fine. I got the 14 green sources for turn one green and the 14 turn two white sources for turn two white. 12 colorless sources is good for turn 3 matter reshaper 90% of the times, which should be enough. I got only 16 green sources for double green 3 mana cards, which is not enough, but if you factor in the dorks i think it might be fine.
I cut the brisela, voice of nightmares shenanigans for lark and sun titan to top the curve, and i added a couple of bullets for specific matchups.
I like a lot of what you're doing Think it's a playable start that needs to be refined mostly in flex slots. Eidolon/Thrun/Hornet Nest/spellskite seem very open to adjustment (I'd make Thrun a Resto angel -- really strong with witness and such).
One thing, I think the sun Titan is greedy with 22 lands and 6 dorks. If you're playing it you're gonna want to hard cast it. I think you'll want another land in the end, but could be wrong. Thragtusk might be better in that slot with the mana as is (easier to cast too)--or even another angel.
Well, going forward, I think we need to convert to Naya. Here's a list I've been trying out on Cockatrice and have been getting great results especially a turn 2 Magus of the Moon via Eldritch Evolution and a 1cc mana dork, completely shuts down most non-red decks and I just beat them down with a 2/2 creature, if they manage to remove it, I've stalled long enough to assemble the combo pieces to win:
Feel free to try this deck, modify and give feedback. Thanks
When you're playing red (Naya) you play the Restoration Angel + Kiki-Jiki combo, not the Spike Feeder + Archangel of Thune combo. That's because they are great cards by themselves in this archetype with all the ETB creatures, while Spike Feeder is pretty bad.
Did you guys see Ross Merriam's article about the Abzan Evolution deck with 4 Siege Rhino, 1 Spike Feeder and 1 Archangel of Thune?: http://www.starcitygames.com/article/33496_Daily-Digest-The-Doctor-Is-In.html
Been playing around with something similar, but think 4 Rhinos is a bit much. Sticking with 2 for now and some more toolbox creatures - Anafenza, the Foremost (for Dredge), Fulminator Mage and Sin Collector. Eldritch Evolution is a very Efficient toolbox tutor that can get us turn 2 Dredge hate, land destruction etc. by saccing a mana dork if need be. Or we can go fast aggro with exalted Strangleroot Geist into turn 3 Siege Rhino. Deck is really flexible.
I think any number of rhinos is wrong. Card is trash. Lightning helix to the face is not drawing a card and the deck needs to draw cards.
Deck is also 4-drop heavy. Rhinos should be restoration angels and kitchen finks.
Fulminator main deck is highly questionable. Really would be better as a kitchen finks against almost every deck except tron -- If you want to run fulminators run 3-4 in the sideboard, but Sculler is likely better against Tron these days.
I am working on a more black heavy evolution deck that focuses on sticking the redcap combo with evolution and reveillark, and Liliana figures prominently as a 5th and 6th eternal witness (functionally).
She interacts very positively with evolution as you mentioned.
But I don't think angel feeder combo belongs in an evolution deck due to the card disadvantage issues, after much brewing. Maybe a single angel as an additional copy of Melira, but my intention is to try Juniper Order Ranger since it can be reveillarked and dodges bolt.
I've been drafting for a while, might be getting ready to start playtesting this alternate archangel route I've been considering. Figured I'd share it for pondering.
So far I have been really unhappy with the weakness that EE has to countermagic and the general high variance of the decks I came up with. Chord, similarly, is really bad on an empty board. So I've been thinking really hard on Traverse. Traverse gives you the ability to play in multiple ways and also is a great topdeck in a topdeck war. So here's what I'm considering:
The concept is basically a combo/toolbox approach to abzan midrange, with the extremely strong top end of gavony township + lingering souls combined with Courser+Archangel and of course the combo as an option. Hangarback Walker, Satyr Wayfinder, Courser and grim Flayer give you powerful plays to enable delirium that also help dig for the combo. Witness+Path gives some game against aggro, while traverse (and sideboard thoughtseize) gives you some outs vs. combo.
Lingering souls combined with witness, walker and reveillark should give some pretty good game vs. midrange decks, without aggro being unbeatable. My suspicion is the various go-wide tribal decks are still awful matchups, but we can potentially out-race them by pathing lords and traversing for witnesses to repeat.
Anywho, I'll keep you guys posted if I get around to sleeving it up. I've been feeling like playing Ad Nauseam more lately so might be able to pull all the junk for this out of Abzan Company
I am used to playing kiki-chord and Ludafish has a nice deck with CoCo and kiki chord (link below.)
I was wondering if it was possible to make an CoCo abzan deck that runs a singel copy of archangel of thune to chord for. The 'regular' abzan company list I often find having many creatures that does not do much on their own. But a coco chord list you could have much beefier creatures in the deck and rather use the combo as a plan B. Surly somebody must have atemted it sometime.
Have anybody tryed a version based around or featuring Eldritch Evolution?
I am also wondering about Blood Baron of Vizkopa? With one more good removal the vampier will be dodging the 3 best and cost effective removal in modern. (Prot white and black, over 3 in thoughness.)

There just isn't anything.
Reflector Mage is your best option currently.
