That is exactly what I did (I play 4x Reshaper, 4x Relic and 4x SSG), M.Reshaper is much better here as another threat which provides value when it dies.
I'm not sure that Chalice should be in the maindeck as it is not good against everything so I prefer to run Relic in the main becuase of the synergy with E.Scourge and the cantrip when it is not needed.
I feel the same way and have been playing the Chalices in the side. I don't run SSG though, space is too tight. 22 land, 4 Relic, 4 Reshaper, 4 Dismember.
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
I want to find room for 2x Blight Herder in the deck, can it be better than Endbringer in the SB against midrange decks ?
It is cheaper to cast, can usually process a couple of cards (with Relic) and provides better value against removal.

Sorry, I meant 24 lands. Your mainboard is the same as mine except I play 4 Powders over Simian Guides. The side is the same too except -1 Needle, -1 Warping Wail, +2 Grafdigger's Cage.
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
This is the reasons for the choices:
4 chalice maindeck - relic is a powerful card, but chalice can win games
1 ratchet maindeck - sometimes we need a versatile removal. Could be a mind stone.
3 wastes maindeck - waste is very important to play around blood moon, and many decks has path to exile and ghost quarter.
2 revokers sideboard - revoker is a pitthing needle that can attack and be protected by spellskite and chalice. I take the risk.
If we're going to play a black card we pretty much have to max out on Urborgs. I'd much rather have Liliana of the Veil in that case. Scrounger doesn't apply pressure that fast and grinds worse than Lili or Sea Gate so there's no reason to include him here.

Going down to 22 lands seems to make sense with 4x SSG, I still don't like Serum Powder though.
I want to try out 2x Phyrexian Revokers in the mainboard over the 2x lands (likely the Caverns as I didn't see much countermagic).
Any other options for 2-3 cmc colorless utility creatures that can also beat down (not 0-1 power) ?
Maybe Smuggler's Copter (not exactly a creature) ? Or Phyrexian Metamorph (can be cast for 3) ?

The utility land spread and blurb at the end makes me seriously doubt Pascal tested with this list.

I tested with Distended Mindbender and found him difficult to cast when he is still relevant.
I don't like Heartless Summoning as it makes our creatures smaller (most notably TkS becomes vulnerable to bolt) and they are the main strength of the deck.
I thought about it too but I don't think so. 1. You don't get the eldrazi cost reduction. 2. The counters don't actually matter that much. Your creatures still pass the bolt/push test (besides Mimic itself) and die to path/terminate anyway. I think the difference between a 4/4 TKS or a 5/5 TKS is rarely going to matter. The damage output is probably just bigger on Eldrai Mimic (which is a potential turn one play). Lategame they both don't do too much.
Just a couple of Simian Spirit Guide because I don't want see more than one each game
FNM 1
Match 1 vs. BW Eldrazi Death and Taxes (2-0)
Favorable matchup, you can't lose because your creatures are too big for him and Thalia is not a problem for you. Keep a Dismember for Eldrazi Displacer is imperative in this case.
Match 2 vs. Monored Rogue (2-0)
Nothing to say about this match. Home brew deck.
Match 3 vs. Affinity (2-1)
First game he started with a turn one cranial plating and thopter...too fast for me...G2.I sided out relics, reshaper and some creatures for spatial, ratchet and chalice. Second game I started with a turn 1 chalice to 0...G3. Third game I started with cavern then temple, simian, seer... removed dismember. Not a great hand from my opponent...GG.
Match 4 vs. MonoG Tron (0-2)
There's no way out...if he get a turn three tron you lose. Nothing to do with this kind of decks. Ghost quarter is not a efficient response...and you can't do anything against Ulamog, Ugin or Wurmcoil...
FNM 2
Match 1 vs. Naya Zoo (2-0)
First game too slow for him, i took 2 mulligan with 2 serum. Turn one mimic, Turn two scourge then smasher opened him...G2. I started with cavern, temple, simian seer to remove path to exile...only small creatures in hand then GG.
Match 2 vs. Monowhite Aggro (2-1)
Nothing to say about this match. Another home brew deck. I lost second game because I've flooded...
Match 3 vs. BG Elves (1-1)
So difficult match. He won G1 (we already know that) because he dropped two lords with a company...I sided out relics and some beasts for chalices, ratchet and spatials...G2 I started with simian, chalice to 1 then I played reshaper and he broke my chalice with beast within...second chalice to 1 and GG. Tied because no more time.
Match 4 vs. BW Eldrazi Death and Taxes (2-1)
Same deck from the first FNM...in queue -> endless one, reshaper, smasher...GG.
I sided out relics for pithings and ratchet....not a great hand from my G2...a lot of lands and G3. I started with this hand: temple, temple, seer, endeless, and 3 serum...turn 2 endless opened him for some turns, then seer, seer and 6/6 endless brought him to GG.
I think this is a very good deck with synergetic combinations of cards, very strong against multiple decks...but so week agains big mana decks like tron. Next time I will try it against other deck like infect, grixis and abzan and probably the full simian/chalice main version.
I hope my little report will be useful for someone that are going to build this deck.
P.S. I would never tought that serum powder was so strong"

One of the things about these colorless, Serum Powder Eldrazi decks is that they have a bunch of cards that are terrible draws. I've been playing with Key to the City, and while its not a great card in the first few turns, it gives dead draws a purpose and has proven really strong for me in games that stretch a little long and grindy. What do you think?

Seems like a strictly worse Smuggler's Copter. I would not even play that card though.

I'll admit that I have grown a little desperate looking for ways of dealing with the deck's dead draws. Heh
How do youanage them?
I don't really know what you mean. I mulligan aggressively into hands that don't care if I draw stuff like Serum Powder. Powder comes down and helps us activate SGW or ramps into casting multiple Scourges off Relic or something. Realistically the only "dead draw" is something like Relic when we have a Chalice out on one, but in those scenarios we're almost always just winning anyway.
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
That leaves 5 flex spots. Previously I was playing 4 Endless One and one other card in these slots, but with Fatal Push in the format, EO seems a lot less safe. Since I expect Modern to slow down it's probably better to play some Matter Reshapers in the main, so lately I've been on 3 EO and 2 MR here.
The main problem with MR over EO is that it's a lot worse at pressuring linear decks that don't care about interacting with us (i.e. Tron, Valakut, Ad Nauseam). Against these decks, having EO as an additional 4-drop to turn on Mimic and apply fast pressure is hugely important. We can also flood on 3-drops against these kinds of strategies. ?having four mana and a grip full of Reshapers and Scourges is terrible when we can't take our time.
Now I want to try a couple of Smuggler's Copters. Copter fixes a lot of the deck's late-game issues---it breaks through ground stalls, it blocks small evasive clocks during ground stalls, and most importantly, it loots through extra lands and Powders to keep the Sea Gate engine running smoothly.
It also has a lot of synergy with other aspects of the deck. Copter's great with Scourge against decks trying to delay our assault, since even with a Chalice out, one-drop removal spells can still be spent on Scourge to keep him from attacking. We can simply use him to crew the Copter and come in with that instead. It's great with Chalice since Bolt and Push are turned off with a Chalice on one, making Copter much harder to kill and impossible to nab at parity. Opponents will feel bad using Terminate on a 3/3 Flying when we have Smasher and TKS in the deck. It's great with Mimic when we don't have a beefy Eldrazi in hand. It's great with Mutavault and Blinkmoth, who can animate to crew the Copter and make sure we have a respectable clock even after wipes like Supreme Verdict resolve. And as mentioned, it's phenomenal with Sea Gate Wreckage, which can conk out after a couple activations (especially in multiples) as we're only allowed to play one land per turn. Copter lets us dump the extra lands fast and continue activating SGW.
I think it's important to still keep Endless One in some number; probably 2 is the sweet spot right now. It's very strong to have access to a 6/6 or bigger in longer games. Reshaper seems great in this slower metagame though, with all the midrange and control decks running around, so I still like a copy of that too.
I'll close out by saying I play this deck at every Regular REL event I go to (twice a week) and for a few hours online every day. I'm planning on starting to bring it to higher-level events soon. This deck is very powerful and super fun! Cheers everyone 😬
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
How's this deck's matchup vs. Tron? My meta is Tron heavy but I still want to jam Eldrazi. I figured the aggro-Eldrazi deck would have a decent match-up at least compared to midrange Eldrazi decks.

Favorable. We aggressively mulligan/Powder into Mimics and play 4 Quarters to keep them from developing. TKS is also a beating vs Tron. Chalice turns off Stirrings, Map, and all their Chromatic rocks.
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
- T1 land

- T3 cast Mimic, tap Mimic to crew Copter, swing 3, loot away Scourge, Dismember the Wall of Roots

Looted into enough removal this game to easily fight through two Collected Companies. Copter also notably traded with a Clique against Jeskai to win that match.
Sorry for the double post but this thread is so dead! Why is nobody playing this awesome deck 😭😭😭

Hey ashtonkutcher thanks for the update on the deck! Your changes seem reasonable to me.
After a long time wanting to play the deck I finally bought into it and played my first league. It has been quite impressive. I went 4-1 loosing to Eldrazi tron which seems like an extremly bad MU. I felt like I drew especially hot in most of my games but maybe that is just how the deck is designed to do.
I played a very similar list to the one you were proposing in your earlier post.
My first impressions: Copter has been quite good as was Reshaper. TKS, Smasher and Mimic were fantastic.
Instead of Urborg and one Mutavault I played 2 Tec Edge which did a lot of work. Have you tried this card?
I'm not too sure about Serum Powder though. In not one of my games was it actually good while it has been pretty bad in multiple games.
I always compared it to Reshaper and asked myself the question if I would rather see Powder or Reshaper in my hand / draw it. And Reshaper was the clear winner. For example I had following hand: Eldrazi Mimic, Ghost Quarter, Warping Wail, Serum Powder, SSG, Eldrazi Temple, Sea Gate Wreckage against Scapeshift game 2. This hand would be a good keep if Serum Powder were a Reshaper but is quite akward like this. I don't really want to mull nor keep it.
I goldfished this deck a lot and I felt like these kind of threat light hands with Powder were as frequent as an actual improvement through Powder.
Certainly I did a very small sample size, only playing 5 matches with the deck so far so take this with a grain of salt.
Maybe 2 additional Reshapers and 2 Mind Stone would be a good alternative. I will test Powder further though.
Thanks for keeping this thread alive

It is an aggressive 2-drop which can be brought back from the GY by exiling dead Eternal Scourge (or other creatures) but needs Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or a "lucky" Gemstone Caverns to activate it's ability.
