I find white splash interesting but I'm not sure just 3 sources of W for 4 cards (or up to 9 total post game one) is enough to be consistent even with 4 Expedition Map. There are going to be games with 2 Paths sitting in your opening hand and no white sources to play or maps to crack. Could lead to extra mulling or worse yet unable to play Path at all. Cracking a Ghost Quarter on your own land to tutor up a Plains seems bad too. Just seems like it need more W sources to make this viable. Good luck.

Some list do run Contortion, but its usually first to get cut when going the SSG/Gemstone route. I prefer it over Dismember as there are times when your life total doesn't allow you to cast it, and it's always spicey to target your unblocked Reality Smasher to get in for 8. Another slick move I've done is swing a Matter Reshaper into a Wall of Roots get the block, pump Wall with Contortion trade and get the flip off Reshaper. Its such a versatile spell I have FNM Promo's I run and I usually hate foils, that's how much I like it.

Thanks for the opinions. I was leaning towards Filigree Familiar as well if I do go that route in my 15.
I'm definitely in with 4 MD Chalice as well. I just hate that it turns of Map every once in a while. I guess there is nothing out there like Map at the 2 cmc mana slot in colorless.

I haven't had that much problem with map and chalice together. Usually it's t1 map, t2 chalice. Sometimes I don't even play the chalice on 1 if it's not great in the matchup and map is a live draw. Usually, if you have chalice on 1 down, it hurts your opponent way more than it does you by cutting off your map draws.
The bigger problem with chalice that I've noticed is that it shuts off some of my sideboard draws like relic, pithing needle, basilisk collar and gut shot. But again, if I'm keeping chalice after board, it punishes my opponent more than it me.
I guess I just seem to be drawing an inordinate amount of maps a turn or two after I've dropped a Chalice on one. It does always hurt my opponent more but slowing me off an early Tron just feels wrong at times. I wish there was a worse Map out there at 2 cmc, but it doesn't seem to exist.

I've just been playing Stompy, after a long time on BW Processors. I like it, but I have a few reservations which would seem like they might apply to the Tron build too.
The deck is powerful but inconsistent. It can stall on lands pretty badly on occasion, and it has inherent card disadvantage in SSG and in Gemstone Caverns which is only partly set off by Eternal Scourge. Drawing Serum Powder, SSG, Caverns, or even Chalice in the mid- or late-game can be pretty bad news. But Smasher, Endless One, and even Seer are all great mid to late topdecks. It's easy for Scourge to get stuck in the graveyard, though Relic in the side helps. Chalice obviously acts as a game ender a high percentage of the time, which is a big deal for this deck. Sea Gate Wreckage does a good job increasing number of cards seen during a game, but basically sometimes this deck draws the half of its cards that are enablers instead of threats and it just bogs down in a big pile of nothing.

The answer then is clearly; don't play cards like serum powder in your aggro deck... Right? Like; what's it even there for. If it was good in an aggro or disruptive-aggro shell at all, people would run it already. Realistically it's a do nothing card that makes you feel psychologically better about mulligans and some niche (not very powerful) synergy with eternal scourge.
Scourge also rings some alarm bells. Is that really what the deck wants to be doing? It's cool. But is it as inherently powerful as reshaper? I can't answer this question without testing, but my gut reaction is that it provides less value overall. Could be wrong.
Drop powder though man it's a trap.

Running the Tron lands is key to this deck. They HAVE to be there. Board wipe in the form of Oblivion Stone/Perilous Vault or All is Dust is important as well. It should be somewhere in the 75 even with 25 creatures. The ability to finish with an Eldrazi Titan is critical as well. At least one should be present. As purklefluff says Protomatter Powder is too cute and a trap. There is a reason your list is bogging down. You don't have any way to finish things off with an Ulamog or Emrakul off a Conduit or Ruin or Sanctum of Ugin. If you'd like some suggestions to revamp your list we'd be glad to give some advice. So, finally got out and played some modern last, and well it was an interesting night. An old friend opened up a shop recently so I am starting to play there to help out and I like the shop, he is doing it right. Anyway, only 9 people showed up but still good to get some games in. Firstly, I was able to only get my Caverns as he didn't have any SSG's, so I was at least able to get them in. Also, have gone to MD Chalice, alas I only have 3 but seemed good enough tonight.
Round 1 I get paired against my friend (the store owner) I know he has some funky 4 Color Allies deck that is predicated on mill and discard but have never seen it in action. Game 1 goes as expected I get early fatties as he tries to set up his mill and discard engine and I just overwhelm him with Smasher's and Endbringer. Game 2 I start good but he gets one of his pump up the Jam's Allies with a Lightning Greaves SMH. He proceeds to get his self pumping Allies outa control and I get no answers. Game 3 Double Ratchet Bomb's and a pair Smasher's into Endbringer seals it quickly. One thing to note, after game 1 I found out he has Zero basics so I was playing with de facto Wasteland for the next 2 games, which was highly relevant.
Round 2 I get the guy who doesn't play Modern and thought it was Standard but wanted to play so into the fray he jumped with his Standard U/W Control. Game 1 goes long as I pull the Flood and draw nothing relevant allowing him to set up a little control, but a T3 Chalice on 2 slowed him down whilst I durdled and finally got enough going to punch through. Game 2 I finaly get to live the dream and get a free Caverns "Woo Hoo", T1 Reshaper into T2 Thought-Knot, T3 Smasher.... Too fast to high power level in the end.
Round 3 I finally get a "real" opponent U/G Infect. I'm on the draw, live the dream again open with a Caverns, T1 Chalice on 1 proceed to watch sad face but not too sad as he was able to a Hierarch out on his first turn and tried to get enough into his GY for a Become but I had a Contortion waiting. Game 2 Lived the dream AGAIN! but it was on a mull to 6 which made it even that much better. T1 I go Map, T2 Chalice, T3-6 Flod a little he has a little intereaction actually as we both get Spellskites in play and then comes the play of the night, nay I say play of the Month. So he got me off the Chalice and is looking to threaten but I have gotten a few answers and all he has left is a Skite and me with my own Skite, I top the Emrakul, the Promised End and try and see if she sticks and it does. I start to take his turn and he has like 3 pumps, a Negate and I think a Noble. I start to go about burning out his pump spells and realize I am at 20 still and he is only at 4 and *DING* light bulb comes on. Target his Skite, redirect to my Skite, redirect to his Skite, Rinse repeat, you loose. Another way to win with Emrakul!
Unfortunately with 9 ppl we ended the night there and due to losing the 1 game Round 1 i got 2nd, .But, I was able to parlay my credit into my 3rd Gisela, the Broken Blade for my standard experiment.
All in all really impressed with Gemstone Caverns, although I almost got caught in the trap of keeping a relatively bad hand just because I had a Cavern on the draw. Looking forward to trying out SSG's when I can get my hands on them.

Hey guys, started playing this deck last week and it's been sweet.
I've been playing Bant eldrazi for quite awhile now but wanted to switch it up a bit.
Trying out nasilemak's deck since he 8-1d the Mocs and then 5-0d a league.
2 Spellskite
4 Matter Reshaper
4 Thought-Knot Seer
4 Reality Smasher
1 Conduit of Ruin
3 Endbringer
1 Wurmcoil Engine
2 Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
Spells (15)
4 Chalice of the Void
4 Expedition Map
2 Spatial Contortion
4 Dismember
1 All Is Dust
Lands (24)
1 Cavern of Souls
4 Eldrazi Temple
3 Ghost Quarter
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4 Urza's Mine
4 Urza's Power Plant
4 Urza's Tower
3 Wastes
Sideboard (15)
2 Gut Shot
2 Pithing Needle
3 Relic of Progenitus
3 Ratchet Bomb
2 Warping Wail
1 Orbs of Warding
2 All Is Dust
This deck plays similarly to Bant except just goes waaaaay bigger which makes it very good against Bant for one. Also surprisingly has a good matchup against most creature decks as it has a lot of removal. Decks that have been giving me trouble are just the ur suibluu deck (keep running into Jinga online) and decks with a lot of land destruction or blood moons.
I think it's got game against everything as you can just eldrazi nut draw them or just go way bigger with ulamog.
Did a deck series with the deck and been streaming it a bit if ya wanna check it out.
As you see in some of the videos, the draws of this deck sometimes just run people over.
I figured because of only being colourless, it wouldn't have many options for cards but there's a surprising amount of good cards against everything.
I have an rptq coming up in December so just testing it out more. Don't really like the orbs of warding for far. I've sided it in against burn and token but everybody brings in artifact hate. Merfolk brought in hurkyls recall against me, but I think he thought eldrazi were artifacts...since he played it when all I had was a thought knot and a matter Reshaper out...
All in all, the deck feels great and has some awesome draws and play to it but it might just be worse then playing gr tron or just Bant eldrazi due to consistency.
I'm new to this thread, recently I just completed my colorless tron deck. However, I'm
not really familiar with how to use Chalice of the Void in this deck, as most lists
I read always put 4 in the main deck or at least 2 main decks and 2 sideboards.
Honestly I don't really know how to utilize chalice for various match ups, and for
the time being,I end up changing the deck to GR version, especially since this version
can click the tron pieces much easier via sylvan scryingand ancient stirrings.
Can anyone give some advice regarding how to use chalice of the void in Eldrazi Tron decks?
Normally you are trying to turn 1 on 1, it will Slow down almost every deck in the format, putting it on 2 is also a valid line as well. Basically the faster you get it out the better.

Why doesn't this deck play Karn? Just because you don't assemble Tron as easily/fast?
Yes. That and you can't fetch Karn either. Ugin tends to be better than Karn as well in our lists for those that play a PW. He fits but he isn't optimal in our lists.

Thankyou

Yes. That and you can't fetch Karn either. Ugin tends to be better than Karn as well in our lists for those that play a PW. He fits but he isn't optimal in our lists.

Hello Dragon_Chaser,
Many ways to do that. Gemstone Caverns and Simian Spirit Guide are the most common.
