For those of you wanting to splash G for things like World Breaker, Ancient Stirrings or Sylvan Scrying, would any of you consider Descendants' Path if you are running 20-24 Eldrazi? Just curious.

What do you guys reckon our weaker match ups are? From testing the deck is powerful against most strategies but would like to hear of your experiences.
One thing I've noticed is that expedition map gets sided out a lot in aggro match ups as chalice on 1 is such a great answer to those decks. Expedition map is also a touch slow in these match ups as getting tron is not nearly as important as laying down reshapers/endless one x=2/3.

Merfolk. Elves. Affinity. Infect.
Those are the worst matchups. Burn is semi-reasonable. Never tried bogles but could be bad.

Hey Everyone, why no splash for B to add thoughtseize?
Currently I play BC Eldrazi in standard with a very similar creature list (deck list link in signature). And am interested in porting my deck over to Modern.
But i have never played Modern before.
Splashing any color would require severe alteration of our mana base- adding fetchlands and painlands- as 'splashing' is not as simple as throwing in a couple of swamps. Thoughtseize is at its best on turn 1 and playing/fetching for a black source would delay our plans of eldrazi temple or getting to tron. A turn 2 tks is alot more potent and is easily achievable with aggressive mulligans and mana accelerators.
Good to see some positive FNM results. Hopefully someone will start running this again at the next larger Modern Event.
I am getting VERY close to reworking my mana base to fit in one or two World Breaker. I wish I had it available about every other game I play.

My list is close to this one now. Not sure about 4 copies of Ghost Quarter though. The SSG open up some interesting turn one options for sure.

played some more at FNM (was running scapeshift for the main event but played eldrazitron between rounds and for a few games once it had finished)
won a lot more with this than i did with scapeshift. it was also interesting to see two other players actually rocking eldrazi at FNM as well - one with Eldrazi&Taxes, the other with Jeskai Eldrazi, and both did well.
i'm confident in my list after the games i played last night against a variety of opponents of various decks.
mainly i'm confident in the fact that oblivion stone is amazing. haha. the more I play, the more it feels like it just wins games almost by itself.
I also have renewed confidence in mimic and by the same token, endless one (endless one mostly because it can proc a sanctum of ugin)
list is probably identical to the last one I posted - i haven't been changing it between events.
Missing a card from your main? Are you still going with ratchet bomb?
I've been playing basically the same 60 (I play 4 ssg 3 Ostone) and have had excellent results. I also play RG tron and this deck seems to play a lot more smoothly as we can play a highly aggressive game on curve whilst also building up to inevitability with tron and ulamog, without the need for awkward mulligan choices with random cantrips.
Some observations:
- An opening hand with 1 tron land and expedition map- I will almost always fetch for eldrazi temple with map and begin laying down reshapers and tks. Our early goal is pressure; not tron.
- Keep any hand on the draw with gemstone caverns and any other land. Hitting land drops is remarkably easy as between maps, reshaper triggers, opponents pathing our early threats etc we have incidental ways of hitting mana on curve.
- Mimic comes out against fast creature decks- we bring in cards like all is dust, ratchet bomb and play the long game- getting to tron, controlling the board with oblivion stones and sweepers.
- Mimic on the other hand is crucial against control and combo decks, our gameplan is to win and win fast. Stones are often cut for more specific hosers.

thanks, i'd missed a single spirit guide out. i'm running 4.
yeah i'm with you on the temple-fetching with map. usually works out fine. any additional maps can build up tron or go straight for sanctum, to get a big mid-game crunch.
the "ramp" from caverns and SSG is insane in this deck. with resilient or disruptive threats, it's a powerful way to establish a hard-to-deal-with threat as early as turn 1 but more often than not turn 2.
turn 1 thought-knot is hilarious =)

ive been thinking about running 4 ratchet bombs in the main. that card is disgustingly good right now. i have a heavy zoo meta and that is the one card that tilts the matchup in our favor
I checked it out and I'd call it a RG Tron deck minus the R and splashed with a couple of Eldrazi. I'd call it more TronDrazi than EldraziTron if that makes sense. Whatever the case it was a good showing.

I just picked up 3 more copies at my LGS yesterday. Don't know if I'll go 4 main, but I have more than a playset now in case I do. Thanks for the tip vs. Zoo.

So a couple weeks ago, I picked up my set of Tron lands, and thought that i'd really like to make a deck with them. After deciding that I hate the card Karn Liberated, I thought i'd go Mono blue and jam TKS and Reality smasher in there. After much deliberation and a lot of testing, I've ended up with an entirely colorless version that looks pretty similar to what you lot are working with. Basically this version is a lot more top heavy and effectively curves out twice. What I mean by that is that if I do happen to set up tron, I've got the top end of Newlamog and Kozilek GD in higher density (2 each), and if I can't get tron online, the plan is to curve out at Oblvion sower and Wurmcoil all the while disrupting the opponent's plays with Pithing needle effects and those 2 drop colorless bros from Oath Warping Wail and Spatial contortion.
Here's the list that I came up with. In the last two weeks of playtesting, it has really shown a lot of promise. It is able to recover from the early onslaught fairly consistently, and really there isn't a deck with a bigger top end so it just goes over everyone.
I'm still trying to figure out what I want in the sideboard, as the problem matches that I've seen so far are Infect, Burn burn (not zoo), GR Tron at like 50/50, and Jeskai Nahiri if I don't get tron online.
Basically i'd be looking for some sideboard input as well as just any thoughts on the deck in general. Thanks for checking it out!
