Kalitas vs Redcap is the current debate. I agree that if you draw Nahiri and multiple Leaps, you can certainly loot additional ones, but in games where you do not have Nahiri, we may want to minimize the 'dead draws' especially since Emrakul is almost always bad to draw.
Rec sage got cut for pontiff, played redcap in that board slot. Went 3-1 tonight in a tournament, beat scapeshift, UWR Nahiri, and temur traverse, lost to company's double nut draw with two t3 infinite life hands.
EDIT 5/31/16
I have been playing this deck quite a bit recently. I won a box in a Modern side event at GP Minneapolis, beating Burn, Merfolk, Elves, and splitting with Tron (though the matchup is quite good so I would not have minded playing it out). In other events, I beat Tron twice, Company, Affinity, and Burn in one Modern event. My only loss in tournament play so far was to Company's nut draws.
Eldritch Evolution seems cool. I haven't been posting because testing has taken me so far off the beaten path that my deck now looks more like Kiki-Chord with Dark Confidants and only plays leaps in the sideboard.
A friend of mine wa splaying a similar deck. He ran a lot of sicard disruption (thoughtsieze, inquesition, tide hollow skuller) along with bloodghast and lingering souls. He also ran smallpox I believe. The stand out card of his deck though was Vampiric Rites. He could then also draw non creature cards if he needed to.
This is what I'm currently playing, it's been real good to me for the past couple of weeks.
61 cards main, whatever. No combo, its just super aggressive game 1.
Game 2 & 3, you can either board into a somehow more grindy game against midrange with Leap, or add hand disruption for control and combo. or just bring in more removal for aggro. This deck is sweet.
This is the newest version, been playtesting with the new fast lands. Theyre super good. This versions combos semi regularly, about as often as the original leap deck, not sure if I like it. I don't really think Sigarda is necessary. She can be good sometimes. but too many 5 drops isn't great.
I considered both of those and they both seem very good. Both Evolutionary Leap and Eldritch Evolution go very well with the new mechanic. I think there is probably a viable list somewhere in here, but I haven't played much Magic in the last few months so I'm not sure what Modern currently looks like.
