That's a nice idea, however for the Mardu version, outpost siege acts as the 5th artist. Enchantments are a little harder to remove, and while it can't he a sac outlet, it also has a different useful mode
3-1 modern last night. Made some slight changes to the side and main again. Cut rally entirely (I know. heresy!) in favor of 4 bob.
Round 1: tokens 0-2
He assembles a flying board pretty quickly, makes a sorin +1/+0 emblem and then sticks virtue. Game 2, I have a reasonable board that got double persecutioned.
Round 2: zombie infestation 2-0
His deck was designed to play infestation and just pitch and buyback lands with life from the loam. Aristocrat just walks past zombies. Game 2, he concedes when I curve out perfectly.
round 3: 2-1 suicide aggro
Game 1, he gets down a nivmagus elemental and pumps it a bunch plus tainted strike for lethal. Game 2, I play runed halo and shut down his offensive. game 3, runed halo and burrenton forge-tender stopped everything he was doing while a single soul killed him.
Round 4: boggles 2-1
Game 1 goes exactly how he wants it. Game 2, I block his first strike idiot with Bob and abrupt decay the first strike. He never draws another creature.
Game 3 against boggles is one I was really happy with. My hand is spellskite, runed halo, stuff. I know spellskite on the draw is pretty bad Because you can't steal daybreak. He plays boggle. I play wolf. he plays enchantment x2, I play spellskite hoping he'd play coronet. He does and attacks and I take it, untap and slam halo naming boggle. He was so locked out of the game, it was disgusting. Attack with boggle does nothing, play a new creature and suit it up makes spellskite bigger. Ground the game out with an aristocrat, blood artist, viscera seer and a slow stream of wolves and travelers

Alright, so lets say your commander is Riku of Two Reflections. Combo commander, to be sure, but lets push this into the realm of absurd. You cast Palinchron and do your Riku thing to make infinite mana because we're going to need it. Forget about your extra Palinchron tokens. A million flying 4/5s is boring. So now you cast Enter the Infinite, because drawing your deck is important. Follow it up with a Obstinate Familiar because not decking yourself is equally important. Laboratory Maniac could work here too, but we're gonna go some more levels deep. Cast a Greater Good because we want a tasteful sac outlet. Follow this up with Parallel Lives, Doubling Season,Copy Enchantment, Clever Impersonator, Mycosynth Latice, Phyrexian Metamorph, and Copy Artifact giving you 6 double token effects. Here's where it gets fun now. Cast a Reef Worm. Sac it to greater good and get 256 Fish, which you sac to get 65,536 whales, which you sac to get 16,777,216 Krakens. Are we done yet? Nope! Cast Thromok the Insatiable, devouring all your krakens to make a 281,474,976,710,656/281,474,976,710,656 Thromok. Where do we go from here though? Let your opponent cast Death Mutation on him! Why, that's 7.20575940x10^16 tokens! Good thing we have Body Double to make another Thromok the Insatiable who will be a 5.19229686x10^33/5.19229686x10^33! Seems big enough, but not for us! Since we're red anyways, lets cast a Furnace of Rath, Dictate of the Twin Gods, and a Fire Servant! Now it's time to Fling your guy, dealing a spicy 4.15383749x10^34 damage to your opponent. To put that in perspective, there are an estimated 3x10^23 stars in the known universe. You dealt more damage than there are stars. That'll give your opponent something to think about. PROTIP: Dodge Spellskite decks
Minor quibble with your report: Spellskite can't take a Daybreak Coronet unless the Skite already has another aura on in (in your example, it doesn't sound like it did).
Also, the way you wrote it, it sounds like you took the Coronet after he attacked, which also wouldn't be legal, as you can only "steal" the aura when it's on the stack. But it may just be the way you wrote it.
While we're talking rules relating to our deck, if someone flashes in Snapcaster to block, targeting Anger of the Gods or any other sorcery, can it be cast during combat? Had someone play this on me and at the time I didn't call a judge, but it seems fishy now that I've sat and thought about it.

To clarify, I hoped he'd play coronet so that my runed halo would be more effective. He cast the coronet and I let it resolve on His creature. He attacked and I took it (ie no blocks) and then played the runed halo the turn after.
I see how I may have been misleading in how I worded it but I didn't mean take it as in took the coronet. I meant take it as in took the damage from the attack.
As well @turboturbo, a spell with flashback can only be cast at a time when it would be legal to cast. This is important for us if you play lingering souls. Playing against junk, you will want to play and flashback souls right after the other to avoid scavenging Ooze. Even if it's on the field, if you cast souls, leg it resolve and then immediate flash it back, your opponent never gains priority when souls is in your graveyard. Just food for thought.
Also, to everyone, you guys gotta try runed halo on your side. Card is bonkers and just absolutely crushed linear decks.

With rally you can sac all of them by responding to the trigger ability "untap when...". It is always better than no Artist at all.
I see. I hadn't considered the interaction with Rally. While I like the idea, it does seem like we'd be adding yet another synergy card that is not really all that great by itself, but shines when another card comes along. Which is pretty much our whole deck already, and one of our weak spots. Still, for those not running the Dega version (and therefore missing out on Outpost Siege as Yeahfootball_66 pointed out), it might be worth consideration.
I could really see why Blasting Station looks attractive. On paper it seems it does everything the deck is built for. I really see it as a budget card for Outpost Siege. In the event of budget why not just play another beef stick that sacs? Aristorcat or Horde seems more effective overall--quick and threatening.
If Blasting Station was 2CC I would definitely run it. That 3CC just seems a tad slow. But I could be completely off. I haven't play tested it. Also, it would depend on your decks build with the tweaks you made to it.
Question for the populace: for those who have played Mardu and Abzan Aristocrats which do you find more fun and better against certain match-ups and why? I haven't played the Abzan and speculate with what I've seen Mardu is going to be better in the meta (as Yeahfootball_66 mentioned). However, I wouldn't mind having some challenging match-ups with Abzan if it meant I was going to have blast not fairing as well as Mardu.
I'm just all about a good fun magic time. yes, I do like to win too
I've played both versions, and really that comes down to this. Mardu is more fun if you want to bash face, while abzan iS gonna be more for you if you like being in control of the game a little more. Also, the main thing I would say is abzan has a more stable matchup versus twin because you pack abrupt decay, while mardu has a worse game 1 but packs a lot of blowout potential in board with rakdos charm. The same can be said about most matchups as well honestly
play tested with the rabbles and the mogg war marshals and wow what a difference they make. went 4-1 against my friends slivers and i beat my friends demon deck (i didn't get to verse any high level play decks but last time i versed these i had way more trouble)
I've come to the conclusion without Rabblemaster and Bob Mardu version falls short. If Blood Artist isn't drawn you really have just some tokens on deck. Maybe the flyers get through. But not enough to seal the deal on a regular basis.
Right. They're so strong, if you aren't running them then you're selling the colors short. They're just too efficient for their mana costs to not be used
Though there's been other good pointers on this thread I like your take on the concept as a whole. With that said do you have any suggestions or thoughts on "working around" the absence of Rabble and Bobs? At least to be as competitive as can be.
1x Hero of Bladehold was my thought along with Return to the Ranks. I figured this would make more 'solid'.
I read your report on the Ranks. I would agree on your thoughts. But without that bonus of the bigs I'm left with Rally with no Blood Artist around and my blood then proceeds to boil.

Game 1 he played 2 tron lands and I was worried. His third land was a seachrome coast which I was happy about. Played around counter spells and kept a path up to shoot platinum angel if it came up. Game 2, just played a lot of guys quickly. Wrath got bad after I landed blood artist.
Round 3: uwr twin 1-2
game 1 I kept a poor hand that could have paid off but didn't. Was killed by resto a d clique. I boarded incorrectly but was lucky enough to have abrupt decay when he went to combo. Game 3, I just durdled With 1/1s until he combed, as this deck can do from time to time.
