Doubtful as the growth is a green ability and rebound is only in w/u this go aground ( there goes my rebound shock.) And doubstrike is white as well, its like 1 mana more costly in white then red.

All the modes of the first set were relievent to us (4+ power, prowress, delve) but as it stands, only rebound is good for us if they other machanics wont be in it, the sets going to be a lot less exiting.
A rebound draw card would be bonkers. Probably wont happen, I'm guessing there will be a u rebound bounce that would still be good for us. I'm sure well see some kinda powerful rebound wu spell at uncommon that we might be able to use.
Unfortunately, this will only trigger Prowess during the cast. Neither Kiln Filn or Nivmagus Elemental can benefit from the cantrip. You are better off having a playset of Gitaxion Probe in your deck. Quicken is nice too if you're still running Assault Strobe. Since Assault Strobe is sorcery, you can cast Quicken prior to combat then bust out with Assault Strobe or Ground Rift during combat. Gitaxian Probe also counts as sorcery. Just food for thought.
Youdont have to quicken prior to combat. You can donit when ever. Ive used it as tech back when storm was big. Turns out a good way to kill storm is to let them go off, then when they cast grape shot, thank them for their hard work, and cast quicken, grapeshot, killing them off their own storm count.
Remember, storm also counts te opponents spells, thus if you cast something, get it countered, then cast another inly to be countered again, thats 5 copies of ground rift.
True. I suggested casting Quicken before combat in order to use the drawn card while still in main phase. Drawing another Swiftspear and casting it the same turn can be a game changer.
They couldn't even reprint Emerge Unscathed they had to add a colorless to it with Center Soul. Only one that would be close to us using is Artful Maneuver and at 2 cmc it's way too much for current deck. Though that and Distortion Strike together would be funny. Kinda sad.
I agree. The command cards seem curious but I am still waiting for a useful one drop rebound card. On the other hand, Myth Realized is an interesting one drop. It would get ramp up quick with all the noncreature spells we cast. Just a thought.
Yeah, that's not a bad idea emgee. It could take place of Death's Shadow or an additional 1/2 of threat, then could add some life link in SB or something if one was inclined to do that. I want to test this card out, it triggers prowess which is a bonus to 1/4 of our threats and adds to storm count. I was thinking of where it could fit into modern, didn't even consider for us.

Ran my normal list with 2 city of brass 1 mana confluence and 1 of each red shockland and added 2 ancient grudge and 2 pyroclasm to SB
Went 3-0 @LGS only 5 showed up though...
First was no black abzan, would have lost if I didn't heart of the cards a free spell. 2-1
Next up boggles, was too fast for her, and she was testing new cards too, 2-0
Last was infect, our closest mirror match, he was just getting into competitive and I gave him some tips, he either didn't draw enough pump or too many guys, 2-0
My performance was fine, I had to mull a Few times with too many land/no threats but that's expected, might take to states instead of 8RACK in 2 weeks.
The 6 main board protection helped a ton vs abzan, and he misplayed by not pathing my dude on his turn when I was tapped out.
Has anyone done a build with Myth Realized? I really like this card, although I'm not sure how much removing the black will effect the deck. Also, has anyone worked with Lantern's dream of -2 death's shadow -2 kiln fiend for 4 monistary swiftspear?

I would like to test Myth Realized I will probably try it in place of Clout in my SB. Maybe bring it in with Young Peezy for a slower grindy match, I could maybe fit in some Thoughtseize as well for that. Might test -1 Become Immense for +1 Gut Shot as well. I always drop BI for something, and the free spells are where it's at, Gut Shot is just less amazing without Delver being everywhere.
Yes, i wanna test myth too probably in place of death's shadow. Id probably also cut the green more or less. Maybe keep become probably not. Make the deck more stable at rbwu, and use more stuff like emerge. Still ill wait on testinf it til its like, 1 tix each

Death's Shadow is actually a pretty good topdeck, though, while a Turn 1 Myth Realized ends up taking until Turn 4 at earliest to grow to the size of a Death's Shadow (from my experience) and is a poor topdeck. MR also consumes mana during crucial early turns, unlike DS, who only needs mana on Turns 3+. Was MR better than DS in grindy match-ups, at least?
Those are the ones im refering too actually. And yes. The big difference is thst i could drop it when i drew it, unlike deaths shadow who i need to go to burn range to cast. Generally, if your on top deck mode you are losing anyways. So while deaths shadow IS a better top deck, myth is a better card overall.
Lantern, did you change anything else besides swapping DS for MR & dropping the Become Immense in the test? Like land base or anything, Could run the same just don't need to shock all day like we normally do with Death's Shadow.
I dropped my Stomping Ground along with swapping BI for Gut shot. I'm running 2 city of brass and 2 mana confluence, probably 7 fetches, 2 mountains, 2 steam vents, 1 blood crypt and 1 sacred foundry. Could drop a mountain for another B or W shock. I want 2 steam vents for Pact of Negation but could run with 1 and hope for a pain rainbow to get more white/black in. Then again I hate drawing just a mountain in my opener but I would love to keep one for Path/GQ.
