It's just a different feel really but, yeah, Infect is a more consistent deck since it has results. If you're dropping money go for Infect, I guess. This has a more Izzet feel to me, which I prefer, base Green isn't my style. I haven't played Infect but they have even fewer threats and less ways to protect it seems but that could easily be fixed.

I think I brought him in against Delver, stuff with a board presence that wouldn't bring in wipes, I guess. And it was also to counter his Young Pizzy's. So I guess that would be a rare occasion.
Got quick test in after PPTQ today, against burn. Was close but game 1 I kept too many threats and not enough spells. Game 2 even closer game, I kinda misplayed since he said he had to go.
I'm sure Mentor is just waaaaaay too much mana but was gonna try him out with Young P for going wide. Storm Entity same deal, just brewin, should try it out on the trice.

I like the straight unblockable in the main board with Distortion Strike I bet that extra 1 damage helps hitting ferocious with Taylor and 10 poison. So you are liking Temur Battle Rage as well? I've always been on and off with pacts. Depends on my mood and the meta. Distorition strike and rebound got a ton better with prowress, and it basically swings games in your favor. Battle rage is way better than strobe, as its instant (allowing the suprise win) and trample pretty much always triggers in this deck.
Become I only casted once, but I'm sure its good. Weither its 2 or 3 copies good, I dunno.
Glad you like the TBR, I support going 17 lands for this. I'd say for those not running fetches probably at max 1 Become Immense since there would be way less in the yard. I think 1/2 is the way to go, I bet it gets Clunky at over 2 much like Assault Strobe was.
Lantern, you should consider adding one Steam Vents in place of one of your fetches or Blood Crypt. If your running 3 copies of Distortion Strike, that blue mana becomes necessary. A Steam Vent will be the easiest way to fetch for blue when no City of Brass is drawn.

Yep, thats why its good. You can either go off and then eat it a million times, or eat it 999,999 times, and use one for that pesky blocker. Or you can go off with kiln fiend and just use it the old fashioned way, make sure its unblockable.
So I've played a variation of Lantern's decklist except I removed Become Immense for the same reason I removed Treasure Cruise when it was legal, you just don't have enough of a graveyard to "delve" it off. If you're removing spells with Nivmagus Elemental or suffer from graveyard removal, Become Immense becomes a dead draw. Instead I mainboarded Lightning Bolt and sideboarded Torpor Orb. It won me 2nd Place at FNM. I was land flooded one round and it cost me a win. QQ.

A defensive Tainted Strike! Hilarious. Probably another WTF moment. That's also why I run 1/2 Mountains, Path/GQ. I like the MB Lightning Bolts not sure where I'd fit it in mine.

Was pretty funny after he dies to turn 3 kiln fiend then says "again, but I'll use this other deck (burn)". Tried to burn Niv Maggy and I just ate some free spells, then he'd concede after failing to kill threats. Then towards the end of fun 5 game win streak or so I was like "yeah, burn's my worst matchup, too, you should just probably dome me." Wasn't a real test so didn't bother writing up specifics.

Also, wondering about Seeker of the Way in place of Death's Shadow but I bet it's just too slow. Maybe a sideboard option versus burn? Doubtful, probably just because I mardu and bw warrior in standard.
