Battle at the Bridge, "Improvise" is definitely a downgrade from the "Affinity" mechanic...but hopefully we get some tier worthy blue/artifact spells with it...

Still too early to tell about the mechanic, there could be some really good stuff coming. Aside from that, this deck may not be the best suited to capitalize on the mechanic because of the balance between blue-nonartifact creatures and artifacts.
One thing that sprung to mind with this was Thoptor Sword. Now I know it's a nonbo with Grand Architect, but diversifying threats isn't a bad thing especially when adding 3-4 cards to the deck can be an entirely new wincon. If the new mechanics turns out to have something good then the mass artifact tokens will seem like you're not spending any mana at all if you are 'convoking' them, and you cards will have a "Chief Engineer" feel without relying on the somewhat fragile creature. I was brainstorming a UW version to take advantage of flicker effects. Using Venser, the Sojourner or Flickerwisp to remove GA for a turn and make a ton of Thoptors doesn't seem like the worst idea ever.

If you do go the UW route and still want to keep the tax angle, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV could be a decent replacement for Lodestone Golem...makes Venser cost 1UW
I've had a white card in thought for a while, and it is toolcraft exemplar. Could it be our wild nacatl? He's a draft of a white version i'd like your thoughts on:
White gives us powerful sideboard cards and thalia MD, which i like a lot. Not sure about dispatch, but path seems counter-productive here... Also notice the amount of first strike stuff, splicer even gives it to lodestone golem, which become very difficult to beat in combat!
I feel like the Thalia could be changed to a ethersworn canonist or something else like the Thorn of Ameyst as it comes down easier or be upgraded to GAAIV

I like this idea. It is going to up the curve of the deck a lot more than I anticipated but I'll try it out and see.
I really liked how thopter engineer makes drawing your threats late still very good. Hasty signal pests or superion are great! Also the 2 bodies pair up nicely with chief's convoke and battlecry triggers from pest.
Galvanic blast is not very consistent, but inventor's apprentice is. I'm thinking maybe just lightning bolt would be better. Also note all red or blue creatures are artificer, making cavern of souls very good.

Its practically a Triskelion you can grow or play for less, six mana gets you the same amount of counters. Also can find with Trinket Mage.
Now all we need is one that draws cards...
Yes i really like strenghtening ballista, it is also a great mana sink we can use all our grand architect extra mana on. It can be early removal or late game reach, which super good. It allows us to beat ensnaring bridge which we would otherwise scoop to. Great card!

Don't forget it can also hit planeswalkers and has a nice interaction with Basilisk Collar..
Since Smuggler's Copter is now banned in Standard, the price has dropped to 1.07 tix on mtgo and $6.99 on paper. I may try to modify my list to run a couple alongside 2x Glint-Nest Crane.
This makes me also think back to what Badabing said about Trophy Mage getting Crucible of Worlds.
Running a Crucible maindeck could allow for synergy with Copter by discarding lands. Crane and the Mage also help us to find Crucible faster for the Tron match-up.
It wasn't me who suggested the Trophy Mage into Crucible tech. But I kind of like it. Tron and Scapeshift are notoriously bad matchups and that would definitely help sealing the deal. I do think if you were to include the combo that you probably want 4 GQs or 3 GQs + 1 Tech Edge or something to that extend. My gut tells me that Treasure Mage probably still is the best of the mages but I still think it's worth exploring. If you include a Vedalken Shackles as well, you already have something for almost every matchup to fetch.

Map could work. Blighted Fen might even be worth trying out for a soft lock with Crucible. Probably waaay too slow but might work against slower disruptive matchups like Jund. But there's only so many colorless lands you can afford to run of course...
Mage that finds 3 cmc artifacts and an artifact that revives artifacts.
Definitely excited for this set!

I'm also thinking about bomat courier for value.
Thoguths?
I do hope Aether Revolt gives us some blue artifact-creature versions of Thopter Engineer...
A blue Doomed Traveler would also be nice..
