MTG Salvation

I am planning on making a 5 color god deck. Of course I need the 5 gods from the next set, but I am working on figuring out the deck now. Am taking suggestions on how to make it properly. As you can see, I only put in the dual lands the have forest or plains in it, for Karametra and simplification of land grab spells. This may not be the most winning deck, but I think it will be fun. I original idea is to make it modern, but I will take standard ideas also.

I get that it's a casual deck and you want to work with a cool concept, but

1) It's Standard legal (unless I'm missing something) so why not play it there where the competition is weaker?
2) It makes no sense (sorry to say).

- First of all Gods reward you for staying in 1 or 2 colors so the idea of going rainbow is an oxymoron.
- Second of all most of the Gods don't do anything in this deck. Ephara, Nylea, Phenax, Purphoros, Thassa and Xenagos (basically all of the Gods) work with creatures. Without creatures they do nothing. And you have no creatures in your deck (outside of two token makers in form of Hammer and Heliod). Turning on devotion won't happen in 5 colors with basically no uu, BB, RR, WW or GG cost in any of your permanents. You even have Spear, Whip and Podium on top of that that also need a lot of creatures in play to work.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's a cool concept but it won't work (even in casual enviroments) and I don't think there's a way to fix it because the basic concept and idea behind it is flawed.

Maybe go for a Planeswalker/Superfriends rainbow deck? It has the same feel to it, but Planeswalkers don't need support to work.

Thank you. I appreciate your input and valid input at that. But some might call me a stubborn fool. Lol. I am going to find a way to make it work. Keep chiming in with ideas or comments. Oh, and you were right, all the cards I have listed are standard legal, but I could not think of any cards that would make the deck work in standard. What about bringing the lands down to just the duals that are green and another color. Add in Genesis Wave. More thoughts please.

The alara block Borderposts may be of assistance - Fieldmist Borderpost, Firewild Borderpost, Mistvein Borderpost Veinfire Borderpost Mistwild Borderpost. In which case, you may find it of use to insert a bit of the Restore Balance cascade lists to make it more efficient as everything besides fog would dodge the cascade under 3. Until your gods are active, they would dodge the balance sac. Or utilize any useful Leylines to jump into the forefront in devotion (Anticipation, Sanctity, Lifeforce, Void, Singularity, Punishment). Reflecting pool and Cavern of Souls are 2 lands you should strongly consider, Chromatic Lantern, Bloom Tender, Trace of Abundance, Prismatic Omen are all cards that should offer you the most benefit for attempting the "rainbow road" while not dumping all your ramping resources in green.

Good luck in the endeavor, but you may find it easier trying to find a way to focus on a few at most.
