That's why I think it's a good idea to play Thalia, Guardian of Thraben mainboard nowadays (which I see you are already doing so). She is relevant in the meta, and she also slow and messes up tempo/combo decks. Unfortunately, I think she still doesn't do much against Karn/Mindslaver, although she is able to slow them down slightly.
Do we have space to sideboard Thorn of Amethyst? I can't see it making the mainboard though.

Oh man....I guess the card review on Knights of the Holy Nimbus is going to be put on hold again (I have similar reasons why I can't test him myself ) - that probably meant that KotHN is not good enough(since he is constantly overlooked)?

lol, yeah, KotHN is definitely not a top-tier card if we can defer him to later.
Yes, I was referring to that list. I changed Surgical Extraction for Tormod's Crypt, since that's all that I had. There was also some discussion about Relic of Progenitus and substituting Disenchant for Oblivion Ring. But, regardless of the substitutions, his sideboard covered every major archetype in Modern at the time. I don't know how common Karn/Mindslaver is in Modern, but if it is infrequent, I'm just going to consider it an auto-loss with the Knight deck. The other archetypes that the sideboard covers are more frequent and dangerous.

Yeah, that was a solid sideboard.
I agree with you on Karn/Mindslaver. Sure it's problematic, but since it is not a common deck I'm prepared to write it off as an auto-loss too.
I got my first Cavern of Souls out of 5 boosters so far. I'm ready to go.
Great! Good that you are on the way!;)
I just brought 1x English foil Cavern of Souls, and will be getting 2 more copies of Korean Caverns, right now I'm undecided over how many I should play though. I'm thinking of going with 3 as a start.

That must have been expensive to buy as singles in the current market.
1 out of 5? My case was: 2 boxes...0 Caverns :°°°°°°°°°°
Sigh...my Modern Knights is having a hard time getting what it needs ;_;
Yes, I went to a big box store where each booster pack is individually wrapped. I bought 2 randomly the first time, and 3 randomly the second time. I got a Bonfire of the Damned in the first set, which I sold. The Cavern was in the second set, inside of a booster with Gisela on the cover LOL. After selling Bonfire of the Damned, I really only "spent" on 2.5 boosters to get a Cavern.
However, it's all luck with these boosters. I've had terrible luck with past expansions.
Hopefully, within those two boxes, you got some good mythics that you could sell to buy Caverns or more boosters (if you want to sell).
The 2 Korean Caverns could be had for a good price, I paid around S$37 for each, while the going rate for a English Cavern is around S$26-28 (All prices in Singapore Dollars). So I think it's quite worth it.

Yup, with boosters, it's all luck. So far I have brought around 10 AVR packs, I think my best rare so far is a Desolate Lighthouse, but on the other hand, I got a foil Cathars' Crusade & a foil Misthollow Griffin in my foil slots.
I was thinking about how a GW Knights deck has practically no card draw. I am thinking of swapping out 4 cards for Wall of Omens. Wall of Omens really only stops ground-based aggro decks, but it is a potential way to go through the deck faster.

As you already mentioned Wall of Omens only stop ground-based aggro, meaning that it will improve matchups against them - but at the expense of matchups against decks with flyers/combo or maybe control since it makes the deck even slower. I used to play it in my Standard knights, Wall of Omens was good against forcing opponents to overextend their board thus playing into my hand for a timely Wrath of God/ Day of Judgment. It's good that you are playing these board wipers too, but IMO I felt the Wall is an unnecessary spell for Knights - I believe playing Wall of Omens only slow ourselves down. It might be workable if we are talking about playing at least 4 board wipers though.
I hate playing lands that comes into play tapped, but occasionally I wonder if Stirring Wildwood is worth considering here. It will be good against ground-based aggro and flyers, although it's also slow and messes our tempo.
If you can get some damage through, then my best friend lately has been Mask of Memories- it does a lot more than you think it might.
I played Mask of Memory in my Modern Ninjas and Spirit tokens deck, and it helps massively in drawing and filtering cards, however I'm doubtful that the knight carrying this equipment would be able to deal combat damage.

I'm always leery of having manlands get blown up by removal spells. Losing a land sets a non-ramp player back quite a bit, because of the "play one land per turn" rule.

That's my assessment on this wall in Knights. To be honest I liked this card very much(I played it very frequently with my Standard decks during the Zendikar era ) , actually I hope someone can prove me wrong .

Regarding Stirring Wildwood, I'm not too concerned with creature removal spells on the land since by the time we have sufficient mana to activate it, lands shouldn't be an issue anymore (or you could hold back on activating it as a creature until you have enough lands), that said, I'm more concerned over it coming into play tapped & the lack of G to activate the land etc.
3/4 creature with Reach is very relevant in the meta IMO.

Aether Vial (with 2 counters) to bring in a Wall of Omens, draw a card and get a blocker. Hmm...

I think I'll pass on it and wait for a good flying knight to enter the cardpool. Drawing Stirring Wildwood early messes up my tempo.
Wizards seems to be avoiding a 2/2 flying, first strike for 2 or 3 CMC. (Thunder Spirit was that card.)
I would think Leonin Skyhunter is the closest we have to a 2/2 flyer for 2 CMC.
It is the closest card, but almost none of us here play it. It's just not good enough for the 2 CMC slot. For the same cost, Knight of Meadowgrain gets one more ability than Leonin Skyhunter, even though that ability is not flying.
I think 2 or 3 Cavern of Souls is the right number, because the mana interferes with permanents with abilities that need colored mana, like Student of Warfare. Sure, T1 Cavern Souls lets me cast Student of Warfare, but I can't level it up twice on T2.

I have to agree here, Leonin Skyhunter is not good enough here, only chance of playing Skyhunter is if we also run creature booster cards like Honor of the Pure etc, so at least it comes into play as a 3/3 flyer or better.

I agree on 2 or 3 Cavern of Souls. I'll probably remove 1x Student of Warfare for 1x Aether Vial. I'm still a strong advocate of either running a playset of Vial or none at all in my decks.

Cavern of Souls improves tribal decks with lots of enter the battlefield abilities. I think Merfolk and Faeries benefit the most.
I fluctuate between 3-4 Vials. I find 4 is too many. I agree that if one only thinks about 1-2 Vials, then none should be used.
I am also thinking about not using any and upping to 3-4 Cavern of Souls. The combat tricks of Vial are nice, but since it's on the table, the opponent knows it is there. And losing a Vial slows my game down more down. I can replace my Vials for Knight of the Holy Nimbus or Wall of Omens.

I don't think there's much of a difference, Knights without fancy or fantastic enter the battlefield abilities may not seem to benefit much, but essentially, Cavern of Souls does the job for all the tribes equally, although resolving said Faerie or Merfolk does seems to leave a bigger impact on the battlefield.
If I don't use Aether Vial, I'll have space to run a playset of Honor of the Pure. With Honor, I'll also run 4x Leonin Skyhunter to give knights some airborne threat and defense. I might also go for Knight of the Holy Nimbus, since he could be a real threat with flanking, +1/+1 and potential indestructability.

Good suggestions. I have to see if I want to give up my Walls. lol
Do we really need to maindeck Krosan Grip? Would Disenchant be better or are you really concerned with affinity or artifacts heavy meta & Mindslaver. Krosan Grip and Disenchant is best left for sideboards IMO, I also noticed you left out Qasali Pridemage. Pridemage should be mainboarded with additional artifact hate in the sideboard. There are many decks that doesnt play artifacts/enchantments like straight aggro/combo etc.
My version without Vial will probably be adding in 4x pridemage + 3 Leonin Skyhunter in place of the Walls and grips. I might just take out the Wraths and equipments for 4x Honor of the Pure too.
Good suggestions. I have to see if I want to give up my Walls. lol
lolz, I can understand why you are so besotted with the Wall. I liked them very much too, I think I mentioned before I played them in my Standard Knights(when Zendikar was Type 2) & in my Venser blink deck for the longest time. Now I'm missing the walls again.

While digging through his posts here I found this for Puresteel Knights:

I should have done this earlier - anyway I will be seeing how they can be added into the Puresteel Knights section.

I might just take out the Wraths and equipments for 4x Honor of the Pure too.
lolz, I can understand why you are so besotted with the Wall. I liked them very much too, I think I mentioned before I played them in my Standard Knights(when Zendikar was Type 2) & in my Venser blink deck for the longest time. Now I'm missing the walls again.
